How do you deal with toxic killers?
What do you do to not get upset when killers are being toxic to you, like leaving you on the ground when you are the last survivor left, and the killer just stand right next to you, repeatedly using their power and wait until the last second before you bleed out to pick you up and hook you, even though you are just a friendly solo player that did nothing to the killer? Or tunnel you to the death then repeatedly hitting you on the hook?

You block them.
You ruin their game every time they enter in your lobby.
You enjoy your revenge.
That sounds pretty fair 👌

Move on to the next match.

Good Advice.

The punishment usually falls on the next enemy player. Map offerings, strongest builds, etc.

Blocking doesn't do anything. It just prevents them from texting you.
14 -
this is when you drop them hips up & down!!

Don't be a last survivor left.

Nothing. Put on your strongest build and sweat after that I guess

When they do this i just tab out and watch YouTube or whatever. When Afk, crows appear above you and that's a way of showing they are wasting time coz no one is paying them attention.
About being hit on hook, if you think you can help your teammates giving them extra time to complete gens, help them.
And just wish for this killer to be paired against a bully squad next game 😂

The same way I deal with toxic survivors, by ignoring them. I do not care if some punk is BM in a video game. Irl would be a different story, if they existed. But everyone is always so nice in person for some reason, strange.

Move on to the next match.
I'm literally too lazy to commit a toxic killer to memory for longer than 5 minutes before forgetting about them.

Tab out and chill. I don't bother looking at the screen. If you're playing on console, mute the TV and check your phone. Nothing you can do so why engage at all. Then leave post game chat since they're dying to verbally abuse you there, but they dislike it if you leave.

If you are playing DBD it mean you have internet, just go on your phone or alt+tab and go do something else for 4 min while they are doing dumb stuff alone. Then move on and forget everything about them, be it in game or IRL you will have a better time if you forget those type of people rather than letting them influence you.

I'm not thinking about it too much. Because it can be their perspective, rage they want to take out after some bad games or they want to get toxic responses on purpose.
I left the game once because of a toxic player. they made me feel very sad and angry but I didn't talk to them in the chat after the match. I just closed the game and didn't touch it for weeks.
Today I try not to take to heart the behaviors of other people.
Do they want to act like 5 year olds? Okay, I'm not going to argue with them or ask why they do this. This is their problem not mine.

Killers who are toxic clearly had a very easy game, and I know this because I play killer all the time and it's never easy, so I just let them have their fun. They'll get destroyed by a SWF next match.
1 -
I imagine that I didn't do anything wrong to this killer because normally I haven't but I just think they had a really bad game last round or during this one. Survivors do the same thing too
They have one bad game and then be super sweaty or toxic in the next one making the other players confused.

Most of the time, this kind of killer doesn't care about being blamed for his behavior.
On the contrary, he will be too happy to see that his gameplay produces the desired effect on his target.
The best thing is, I think, to skip the end chat and go directly to the next game.
There is no point in giving attention to such miserable people. They don't deserve it 😉

You realize it's just a game and you move on. Nothing you say or do will ever change people being toxic on one side or the other, so the best thing you can do is learn how to not let it bother you. I'm not going to go out and be toxic because I ran into someone else who's toxic because I don't want to be associated with that type of mentality. That type of thinking is why it bothers you in the first place.
It's a video game. You're an adult. Get over it.

Move onto the next game.
If they "tunnel" because i am dead on hook, injured or was cheeky... If they leave me on ground for just over a minute because of DS or because there are zero hooks nearby because i intentionally run them to this location... well i wont get upset as they are playing correctly... if i got upset, i would check myself in the nearest mental health hospital.

Yeah yeah, Killer suppose to know your just a friendly Solo when he was probably being t-bagged, clickity-clicked at , and robbed of mind-games by ‘press E’ for victory. If Killer could press start and see whose in SWF and whose not, he may treat you different but without communication and information, your as “good” as your most toxic teammate to me.
That being said, here are a few of my tips.
- Crawl to the nearest hook to make sure your not being left on the ground because Killer knows you are not near a hook, or he had to drop you earlier, or one or both doors are open, or he doesn’t know where hatch is and would rather slow bleed you to death (since YOU ain’t crawling). Crawling to hook let’s Killer know your an easy kill and are ready to die when he is ready to kill you, no tricks.
- Staying absolutely still and collecting crows will disturb a Killer trying to gloat more then you wiggling on floor or spinning in circles. Says you don’t care, you went for a sandwich, took a bathroom break and started watching videos on YT.
- Getting tunneled to death is a legit strat and pummeling you on hook is either the Killer disrespecting you for whatever reason he wants…or he might just be trying to start a hook swarm so the Kills will come to him. Also the possibility that he happened to see you joined later then the other 3 and might actually know your not part of the SWF, in which case he’s hoping your weak-willed enough to ######### early on hook if he BM you. That way he could more easily battle the SWF. Most odd ball solo survivors will destroy gens while the SWF enjoy running the Killer and making epic saves. If the gen jockey dies, then it’s only a matter of time till Killer dwindles down survivor resources and eventually wins.
Trying to get under each other’s skin and trigger each other to make mistakes is just part of the game now. An it goes both ways, sometimes I just gotta sit in a corner a let the bully squads pop the gens and gloat and taunt me. Not to mention every game where survivors hold me hostage until the final second of EGC. Either that or they need me to watch them leave and of course it’s a great feature from BHVR that survivors can blow out my ear drums by repeatedly fast vaulting over and over and over.
Game is interesting and fun, community sucks~.

you can play anti-slug build, I like unbreakable-tenacity-flipflop-power struggle, it's fun against sluggers you can punish them

Almost like people can hide who they are online and have no repercussions for hurting another human beings feelings

Playing Killer yourself.
Or CIV 5.

If you haven't done anything wrong to annoy the killer why get mad? Just go next game.
Playing killer is super stressful.

I deal with it by not considering it toxic in fact it’s rather thematic to bleed out or get carved up while hanging on hook.
Seriously when the match is over I just queue up for the next one and move on.
People hang onto this crap too much.
You’d swear dying in game actually killed you in real life the way people act.
Same goes for exit game BM it can’t hurt you so either chase the people out or spend your time breaking stuff and spamming your power for points.
It is kinda pointless sure but it’s just a game move on already you’ll be happier for it.

they tunneled just like a normal tunneler, ignored everyone else, just wanted me dead. I don't T bag or bring flash lights or try to get killers attention by doing weird things, so I don't think I was being cheeky. As for the one that they left me on the ground, I wasn't recently unhook, and I didn't have DS, I was downed very close to a hook, but the killer did not pick me up, they were just using their power right next to me. After I waited a few seconds, I even crawled right under the hook, but the killer just followed me to the hook then repeatedly using their power again and waited until the last second before I bled out.

I don't T bag or bring flash lights or try to get killers attention by doing weird things, I also don't use DH cuz I don't like it, so I don't think I was being annoying to the killer, if someone else was toxic to the killer, then go after them, why follow me? As for the one that they left me on the ground, I wasn't recently unhook, and I didn't have DS, I was downed very close to a hook, but the killer did not pick me up, they were just playing with their power right next to me. After I waited a few seconds, I even crawled right under the hook, but the killer just followed me to the hook then repeatedly using their power again and waited until the last second before I bled out. There were no exit gates powered since gens weren't even completed.

I do play killer, I play both sides. But I usually play fair, unless someone tries to annoy me

Thanks for all the tips. I see most suggest to just tab out and watch a video or something. I'll try that next time I see this type of things happen.

It´s intended by developers since release. Confident there is even a Q&A about that.

What, bleeding everyone out? I'm not saying you can't do it or that it's against the rules, I'm saying there's very rarely a reason to do it outside power tripping or venting out your frustrations, and that it has just as much if not more possibility to backfire than just hooking everyone once you've waited out DS.
I sincerely doubt they want people to do it versus ending the game naturally.

I haven’t noticed any of your posts lately. I worried you had moved on.

If I can I wait an opened Exit Gate tbagging until they appear, im not very fond of this kind of taunting but toxic players deserver toxicity back, if I cant do anything because Im the one on the receiving end then I do nothing, usually I ALT+Tab and read the online newspaper while waiting, making a fuss on end game chat just fuels these kind of players also I know the SWAT squad of Neas with ugly cosmetics will avenge my grievances, they are the unknown heroes we dont need but toxic Killers deserve.

you crawl to the nearest hook and stay there. Overall, if the killer of suspicious of flip flop or if he knows you already used unbreakable, he can expect a flip flop and let bleed out. Letting bleed out is not inherently toxic when he didnt closed the hatch yet.

There is only ONE solution:
Stop caring and play the next match 😉

Ignore? That's how you deal with toxicity, unless it's reportable.

I deal with it by playing Sea of Thieves.

you make no sense whatsoever
the definition in the dictionary:
- very unpleasant or unacceptable
- causing unpleasant feelings; harmful or malicious:

I was the last survivor there was, he downed me near a hook, and could have picked me up right away. I wasn't unhooked recently so no DS, incase you wonder. I waited a few seconds but the killer was just using their power right next to me instead of hooking me, so I crawled right under the hook, which was literally next to me, the killer followed me to the hook but still no picking up, just repeatedly using power right next to me and waited until the last second to hook me

If a killer wants to waste your time. Alt tab. Now you are wasting theirs. Checkmate.
