Honestly, I am not surprised!
Maybe i am being overdramatic, but I aint touching solo q

At this time u always have killer queques long in my region so for me is bbq and chili or WGLF for free

,,Survivors don't leave after update" - enjoy your q times ;)
11 -
People want to play killer because of the changes. If you think many survivors left, you are mistaken.
2 -
I think solo queue will be a slightly better experience it it's able to match appropriately with a more balanced population. A lot of my frustration stems from usually having one or two super out of place teammates. It's at least worth trying out

Although I agree with you, I don't think this is necessarily fair either, since the patch just released.
But, yeah. >:-)

To be fair, this has always been the case during this time of the day. At least in EU. Survivor Queues were usually instant until around 7 or 8 PM, then it switches at some point.
If there is still a Bonus in the evening this would mean that Survivors left. But currently, it is basically the same as always. (Obviously it could be possible that there are even less Survivors playing than usually during this time, but faster Survivor Queues at this point are normal)
6 -
You think this is a big "gotcha", but really this is normal during this time of day.
3 -
Loving OTR, damn. Getting farmed is gone now.

Also very true. And for what it's worth, my survivor experience is typically good when I have a quick queue. It's when I have long waits for solo queue that the games are horrendous.
0 -
Just wait 14 days and we'll see who was right. As I play 90% of my games solo, I go to a long break
5 -
FWIW, survivor queue times are ALWAYS relatively quick during the day, so this isn't breaking news any more than telling people the earth is round, lol.
Assuming things fall into form the way they always do -- or have in the two plus years I've played -- survivor queue times will increase as the day goes on and get lengthy when it's nighttime, and the killer times will be close to instant the way they usually are. I'm guessing that there are more people who don't normally play killer that might be testing out killer today, but if they didn't like it before, nothing earth-shattering is in this patch that will change those players' minds about what they like to play, and the instant killer queues at night that are the norm should stay that way, or relatively close.
As someone who likes to play survivor, but it's mostly at night with friends when it takes forever to get into a match, I'll have no complaints about anything that shortens up my lobby simulator.

You are right, I didnt launch the game yet but what makes the difference is how much they shifted or if they shifted at all, in Europe queues were around 1:30 minutes and 3:30 at evening and until 21:00 where they would start to decrease, at 21:30 or so Survivors would start to have queues.
Now if the queues remain the same then we can assume its the same but if now Killer jumps to 5/6/10 minutes we can assume Survivors have switched to Killer or quitted.
In any case its too soon to judge how the patch will affect queues.

You won't be right. Survivors threaten to leave every time something of theirs is nerfed. They never do. History proves my point.

Weirdly, my survivor queues are rather slow despite the 100% bonus. Methinks that whatever checks for this bonus only refreshes every half hour or hour and it's not adjusting for when a bunch of bonus-seekers respond and saturate the queue.
0 -
Survivor queues are always better during the day, because people are at work and it's hard to get friends together to play. Solo Q has always been bad and not much has really changed in that regards.
When the evening hits and people can start queueing up with there friends, you'll likely see the bonus swap in the other direction.
1 -
Ooh it goes up to a 100%? that's awesome!
0 -
Killers will get the bonus at peak times (late evening).
Survivors will get the bonus at off peak times.
This is the way.

Lmao I just wanted to make a post on that myself. It was also the first thing I wanted to check out after the patch drops. No surprise there.
I also don't think you are being overdramatic. I will surely still try out solo queue. But until they actually add some proper nerfs to camping and tunneling, I believe we will be seeing this exact image the entire time lmao.
2 -
The patch has been out for 1 hour... It's always the same when big patches like this comes out. Give it a few days and it'll even out.
0 -
Yet, the survivor queue is oddly long.
Is that feature a bait to force to play a certain role ?
2 -
He's right so far.
Also, I rarely see survivors threatening to quit. It's actually killers that seem really prone to threatening to quit and not do anything.
9 -
That would make sense. I guess it would be a bit weird if it switched too dynamically. Especially if it made people lose the bonus bloodpoints before they got to start the match. Or if survivors would end up in the same match, some getting bonus bloodpoints, and some not.
I still think this will be the norm, and that killer queue times will be longer than survivor queue times almost constantly.
0 -
Most of my friends (~170) stopped playing after previous nerfs, and the rest of them (~20) after this patch are taking a break or switch to play killer
0 -
It's 6 pm for me, often enough this is the time where killer queue times start to become almost instant. But the 100% bonus bloodpoints are still there for survivors at the moment.
I guess maybe it could also be because more people want to try out the new changes for killers, and that the queue times will even out after some days. But I personally believe killer queue times will remain longer, potentially very long, until camping and tunneling receive some actual, proper nerfs, especially now that camping has been buffed. That will surely get a lot of people to play survivor again, even people that have taken a break from the game for a long time already.

Hey, @Aztreonam78
Can we get an update every 30 minutes or hour on this thread. Showing a screenshot of the Bloodpoint bonus. I'm curious how it will play out.
0 -
No, he really isn't. Queues are always like this during this time of day.
And no - killers in the last year since SBMM was enabled have quit. Many of them have. This is why survivors were waiting upwards to 20+ minutes for queues since then. There's evidence to back that up.
0 -
I noticed my waits are like 5 minutes now as survivor, I was playing matches this morning before the patch was released and they were instant. I don't understand how my wait longer if that is the side that needs players.
3 -
Deceitful survivor-only player detected. Survs have always been in higher demand than killers at this timeslot.
0 -
Exactly, there's something off.
2 -
Could you please present this data you have.
2 -
As I wrote, let's wait 14 days for everything to normalize. We'll see who's right then
1 -
No survivor main is gonna up and quit after this update lol.
1 -
Meanwhile, despite the BP bonus stating otherwise, my first survivor game has taken over 2 minutes to find a match. Not long really, but in comparison Killer took me around 20 seconds.
To be fair though I am in the oceanic region and its past midnight at the moment.
1 -
Yes, you can always choose to move the goalpost. 2 years from now, on Patch 10.x, you may finally be right!
0 -
not needing an offering or perk for this is 👌
0 -
Great deduction. So I understand that in 14 days there will be a new update with a lot of changes... Oh wait, I don't think so
0 -
This cyclical dance involving doom saying and skyfalling predictions has been going on since the dawn of time. The people who do get to say, "I told you so." Either get there because they call every event a skyfalling event, or they get very lucky the one time they do call it out.
Thankfully, we'll see where you end up pretty quickly if you don't move the goalpost anymore after everything balances out in a few days..
0 -
Yeah about that...
Sorry to break it for you. But killer is instant. Despite survivor having the bonus.
1 -
I don't get it +100% bonus for survivor but queue take 5 min, i try killer and find a game instantly, I don't think it's working as intended
1 -
Queue times are like the normal one from before the patch. Survivor long queue during prime time and killer instant.
But i don´t get why the bonus bloodpoints are set for survivor instead of killer.
1 -
It's probably bugged or it doesn't refresh fast enough, killer queue is way quicker but no bonus
1 -
Probably just bugged. Been playing for almost 2 hours with long survivor queues while the bonus was displayed the whole time.
