Where's this Thana doomposting coming from?
It was buffed by 2%. Yes, I know every second counts, but assuming you're getting the full bonus out of it a gen will take less than 2 seconds longer, which is apparently enough for people to foretell the coming of the doombringers Legion and Plague.
I don't understand why this is suddenly a scourge upon the community.

People who think that as soon as legion pushes m2 every survivor on the map instantly becomes injured and stays injured the entire game, apparently.

It got buffed in two ways.
- Now its 22%.
- Gens now take an extra 10 seconds, to now take 90 total.
22% of 90 is around 20, so 110 seconds extra
its REALLY easy to hit 4 injuries with plague, and legion (with certain add ons).
Combine this with hex pentimento/plaything combo for an extra 30% of 90, adding it to 137 seconds for a single gen, not to mention regression perks.
A chase isn't going to take longer than 137 seconds, unless the killer has the same amount of skill as SpookNJukes at being a decent person.

To add, this is more of a problem on Plague because her counterplay is to *not heal*. Plague with her red puke can end chases INSANELY fast.

Passive slowdown is discouraging to play against on top of an already increased amount of genspeed time - so I think those two things compound to feel particularly dramatic.
It gives players competing against Plague and Legion in particular more pressure to heal, which is generally not preferred against either - so that extra pressure pushing survivors into acting against their best interests is stressful.
But it's also like, 2%.

115 second gens on killers where the counterplay to their powers is 'don't heal' or 'heal and either waste more time or power them up'. And that's ONLY thana on it's own, assuming everyone is injured (90/0.78 = 115.38).
Now throw in Dying Light, let's say by the time everyone is injured, the killer has 3 unique hooks.
(90/0.69 = 130)
Now let's throw in Deadlock - a perk that has the potential to add another 30 seconds to the generator with the most progress
It just keeps going
That's where the problem is.

A streamer showcased one game where he almost instantly got pentimento up plus thana on legion on the PTB.
It comes with the idea that everyone is instantly injured and no one can cleanse pentimento

You seriously can't get there on your own? Do you need a drawing or what?
6 -
Yes, but only if it has illustrations drawn by @C3Tooth .

People were doomposting about overcharge/call of brine so they much they forgot that buffed thana/gift of pain exists now. a 16% action speed penalty on top of your teammates being injured is pretty brutal stuff so we're kinda back to the old days of forever freddy again so enjoy it while it lasts fellas.

This is the truth.
People complain because it didn't really need a buff, already being one of the most-used perks on a couple of killers and having its place in niche builds in a few others, and it can be annoying. But the "buff" was hardly a buff at all. They lightly touched the perk to give it some more visibility.
I got my first five-stack Penitmento ever today, although it was before the build dropped.
Pentimento has always been a staple of my Legion builds, but it won't be as strong without Ruin and Undying, sadly. Do remember, however, that Pentimento is extremely, extremely temporary unless your entire build is built around getting Pentimento stacks. Survivors will know where it is right off the bat, and it's gone as soon as they can be bothered to go cleanse it. I only got a five-stack today because I was running Plaything/Ruin/Shattered Hope/Pentimento all at once.

Literally. If a Survivor drops near a vault location and you fail to pick him up, or you have to fiddle to be able to pick and not vault you have already wasted 5 times more than that "buff". Devs fool this community the way they want LMAO.

Just to add onto this, you got the numbers slightly wrong with Thana + Pentimento
It's worse than you think, 164.84 seconds.
9 -
Play some games against plague/legion with thana + 3 slowdowns and you'll understand.
5 -
JESSIE, WE NEED TO SUICIDE ON HOOK
3 -
people just have an irrational fear of progress bars, especially when they make up the majority of your gameplay.

its almost like thanotophobia works properly and punishes people for not healing. wow....
dying light is survivor perk, it gives you free old botany knowledge so you can heal faster. hex: pento doesn't work if nobody cleanses totems and the totem itself can be cleansed.
137 seconds does not need to be done by a single survivor. while a single survivor is in a chase, there are 3 other survivors in the game that can work on generators. 2 survivors working same generator can finish a gen in 74 seconds+another survivor can work on another gen.
survivor should need to work together to finish generator, not just pop 3 gens in 80 second in first chase and pop last 2 gens in next 80 seconds. account travel time, you can like finish the game in like under 4 minutes. that is just insane. big part to why swf has very easy time dunking most killers without much effort(in previous patch).
the game are going to be slower now. you need to learn to loop properly and looping is also harder because dead hard got nerfed and is no longer press E to win game button. So looping takes a lot more skill as well.
2 -
Yeah it punishes you for not healing
Even when you're healthy or physically can't heal without giving a certain killer one of the strongest powers in the game.
That's fair
Dying light on it's own is a survivor perk yes, paired with thana on plague? It's annoying. Not OP, not good, annoying.

That extra 1.8 seconds is a real killer.

People seem to forget that if nobody cleanses, plague only gets 1-2 shots at her power. Outside of that, she's just a M1 killer who is tall as hell so she can barely mindgame unless its a loop at a tall wall. That in itself can buy more than enough time to offset thana stacks, especially compared to anti-loop killers. If she gets looped she needs to decide whether to break away and look for someone out positioned, or (possibly over)commit to the chase.
The main issue is that your average survivor is absolute garbage at managing when to cleanse and when not to, as well as the ones who are just bad at looping m1 killers. Otherwise the synergy has a lot less effect than you might think.

Well yeah I'm not out here saying all of it is OP or unbeatable
It's just a boring slog, winning or losing yk

killers in previous chapter had pop goes weasel->pain resonance. pop regress gens by 20 seconds(25%) and pain res regresses generators by 12 seconds. pop into pain res added 32 seconds to 80 second gens, so each gen took 114 seconds each time the combo went off and than there old ruin & corrupt.
Even when you're healthy or physically can't heal without giving a certain killer one of the strongest powers in the game.
since when did legion become one of strongest killer powers in the game? people keep saying he's worst killer in the game. Nobody ever talks about plague. the only time they ever talk about plague is to talk about thano plague and than they barely ever play her anyway.

Corrupt purge is one of the most oppressive chasing powers in the game
So giving plague more of it to 'counter' thana is just dumb
3 -
What did spooknjukes do? I mean he runs noed and constantly facecamps people for fun so obviously he can't be a great person, but idk if that means he's a terrible one
1 -
Meh, A full hex build with plague is better, plague can survive even without perks since she has a built in snowballing mechanic, legion not so much.

it has counter-play. her m/s is slowed to 68%(i think) when charging her ability and she move at 110% when fully charged. her projectile moves at 1/4th speed of fully charged hatchets, so using line of sight and turning corners sharply is effective.
now you have to learn how to play against her anti-loop instead of doing gens in 5 minutes and almost completely avoiding her main ability. a lot of survivor just got carried really hard by gen-speed and won games with poor looping.

I know how to play against it
Doesn't change the fact it's an oppressive chase power. Oppressive doesn't mean uncounterable

Since we someone mentioned me and this topic is about Legion Plague
