Ok I'm willing to admit. I overreacted.
I have been playing a few games with some friends and it seems pretty normal.
I'm still using iron will but I still not sure. So far it has been ok. I'm absolutely loving lightweight and fixated combo. I'm still going to be annoyed by thanataphobia with legion and plague but ultimately idk yet. I also haven't seen anyone camped or tunneled hard yet but I'm waiting.
In conclusion everything is fine so far. Is subject to change though.

This patch really isn't that bad. For me every game has had campers and tunnellers but I wasn't playing solo q so it was easy to survive.
Surprised I didn't see any killer run STBFL though.

Apart from the forever plague match I played, I also had a lot of decent solo q matches as well
very close games, sometimes we all got out or only one/two of us got out but all gens got done
Basekit BT gives me some nice peace of mind going for saves, It's not guaranteed but it's enough time to block the killer and take a hit if they are trying to tunnel whereas before Killer could just instantly down them off hook

You're in a team, the people "overreacting" are in soloq mainly. Why are using using Iron will and not OTR (just curious).

Had a nurse eat my decisive and was instantly downed because I didn't have enough time to go anywhere

You get like 1.7s of distance, I can do the splits for more time than DS gives you

As a Killer-Main, I say: Hook-Timer should pause if the killer camps without chasing at the hook for too long (x seconds).

But I thought it was a bloodbath out there with survivors getting killed left and right?? They need their Dead Hard back!

Nurse + New DS = dead.
Hell, it probably doesn't even make a huge difference since it's Nurse anyways.

That happened anyways when it was 5 seconds.... does the idea of running 2 more seconds matter all that much?

God i love doing that as nurse now. Though i dunno if its the small attack recovery buff or what but but i noticed im injuring a survivor, recover from exhaustion and immediately one blink on them to down them. It feels so smooth, i dunno.

That perks is pretty much like it was before, a bad turn from a Killer in a corner and the buff time is wasted.

I already didnt use dead hard before so in terms of perks nothing changed for me, i still use the same things now (kindred, bond, inner strength and lithe).

I've been playing a few matches of solo queue, and so far I've not noticed it being the miserable hellscape that was prophesied. In fact, it's been going pretty well- the normal solo queue "bad teammates" issues notwithstanding.
It's a nice refreshing shakeup to the state of the game, encouraging trying out new things. New Deja Vu and Dark Sense have been very nice, so far... still gotta grind some BP to unlock some other perks I wanna test with, but so far so good!

I agree they went a bit over on the stun time but it doesn't need to be back to the 5 sec stun...maybe 4 after animation and it should be good tbh

Honestly takes a lot of character to share when your perspective has been changed. Good on you, and hopefully the patch continues to feel okay-or-better!

Iron Will took a pretty heavy nerf, but it's not totally useless. With audio occlusion and other factors it still has some utility.
And not to be rude to anyone still trying to derive a lot of value from their favorite nerfed perks, but essentially forcing people to try other things was the clearly stated intent here, so not sure why people seem shocked by how hard some of these were nerfed.
They want us to stop using some of these perks and try new ones, so of course they're only a shell of what they were. Let them go and try some of the buffed ones.
I'd guess some of these will be revisited down the road, but the shake up is the entire point here. I don't agree with all of it but I'm actually pretty excited to try some new things out.

I could get behind this but they nerfed meta perks BUT DIDN'T buff any perks to a considerable degree except OTR on survivor side. So bad perks they buff are maybe just ok now. Meanwhile they buffed all the slowdown perks with 10 more seconds of gens, opening another spot for slowdown with BBQ "nerf", buffed some basekit passive attributes to all killers, made 2 more killers OP (legion, plague running specific things) etc

It's better than I expected honestly, solo is painful but I don't mind dying that much with the +100% bonus, I mean yeah I die most matches but I still gain more BP than killer that's a new one
