So tunneling and camping is exactly the same...

I kept telling everyone that 5 second bt wasn't going to help at all and I was right. Sure you can't get downed right off the hook but that rarely happened anyways unless the survivor was dumb. Tunneling and camping isn't better at all, so much for making any improvements for survivor.

Yeah try playing the game. It's still easy to camp and tunnel. Yes I did it myself as killer just to try it out. It's not hard at all. Sweet they maybe make it to a tile then what.

Somethings better than nothing and that something most of the time can make it to resources that you can use to buy time, its not meant to be the end all be all camping and tunneling is dead its meant to be a small mitigation to it at most

Killers could have always run save the best for last in the past anyways how much worse is it now

Its not how it work... Usually map have 100m x 100m. How do you make it 161m?

Plus...is there really a killer who wait for 80sec OTR just because dont want to hit on Endurance...

5sec basekit, 15sec BT, 80sec OTR is the same the moment Killer hits off hook. With the deep wound effect, its just a matter of the time when the effect cover the screen, cant see anything for another down.

To explain about this: Either you hit unhooker twice, or unhooked twice.

    1. Hit unhooker, make a normal chase, hit unhooker again.
    2. Hit unhooked, make an easy chase with Deep wound effect on screen, hit unhooked again

Which killer will prefer the later since it's both easier to chase, and will bring unhooked to another hook stage.

I can't speak for others but I find myself not tunneling or camping hardly at all, I actually have enough time to do chases here and there without getting gen rushed into oblivion so it's nice, everyone gets lots of points, matches last around 10min and I am pretty sure it's more fun for both sides. But hey, that's just my experience so far.

Honestly the best way to purge camping/tunneling is to simple teleport the hooked survivor to a different hook similar to pyramid head (they still have to be moved to a hook they just don't stay there).

Yes, certain things like basement will no longer be a thing and if killers need a buff after that so be it but at least explore the trade offs here for how much of a plague this behaviour is on the game.

well I already changed the number since did the math wrong but its just in terms of time with the endurance status effect * how far you could move, and yes I get the mentality of getting someone out of the game sooner all im saying is that the basekit effect still has some value

For someone so mathy, pulling out the "some value" line is pretty vague. Does it have "some value" of course. Is it much value? No. The only thing survivors were supposed to get from this update is reduced tunneling and camping and that didn't happen at all.

Five seconds BT helps. It doesn't help much though. Waiting for five seconds is nothing.

If a survivor has BT though, you'll be protected for a while longer.

    ---

I don't get how one can say is worse when the survivability being tunneled has been increased.

Kills have less incentive to tunnel too. Better give two hits on a survivor than three.

My only problem is that teammates play an important role in survival and yesterday I was grouped with and against very inexperienced (or just bad) survivors. It was foretold an MMR adjustment would happen now that DH doesn't carry hard anymore but it's painful.

Direct reduction via only effects is minimal reduction via gameplay loop being affected decent

My question is where are all these supposed campers and tunnelers ? You hear stories on these forums about how they're super common, but I don't see it. Maybe once every 6 games if any, and they gave survivors a countermeasure. Don't like campers and tunnelers ? Bring OTR. You've got 80 seconds of endurance to burn. Use it.

being camped and tunneled out of the match on your first hook is even better! get on, gamers

"5 seconds bt is nothing" is pure lies, why people love spreading blatant lies like that?

if your excuse for it is "bring something", you're already wrong. this should NOT be a problem. if it is a problem, bhvr should see what's the problem.

the players should not have to do something to go against a game poor design to have fun.

I wanted to go with silly perks and have fun, but now I have to find a new meta to survive a match and being able to play if I'm the first to get down, because of all the games I had today, almost none I wasn't camped and tunneled out.

I had no delusions that 5 seconds was going to achieve what 12 or 15 seconds rarely could. And none of the changes address camping, they just address post hook not the actual rescue itself which is sometimes the problem. Especially when it comes to bubba, in some cases it's not even possible to get a rescue.

Could we, I don't know, let people get used to the new mechanics, times, changed perks, etc. Before we conclude that nothing changed?

Patch hasn't been out for 24 hours. Most people didn't change their loadouts. Give it some time.

How do you "get used to" 5 seconds? 5 seconds is 5 seconds lol. How about we make it 1 second and maybe you can get used to it?

Simple. Yesterday I've seen face camping killers that instinctively hit freshly unhooked survivors and got the auto BT instead of a down.

    Give it time.

Not the same. Camping is stronger now.
