DEVS were successful...
yes, they were successful at removing Dead Hard as meta.
now, nobody uses it anymore, and killers are now getting free hit.
good job making a good perk now a TRASH.
even with change, its still buggy as fock.

"free hit" lmao. The killer wasn't getting a free hit, you were getting a free health state, dead hard is dead as a crutch for bad survivors and that is a GOOD thing.
RIP BOZO

Well...as Killer main I can only give devs a cookies 🍪. Really appreciate this change))))

Ironically DH now requires some actual skill.

I've switched to Overcome in my WoO build because I can admit I'm booty :P

Imagine, getting free 1 state health out of 1 button, where kiiler wasting 20 to 30 sec mind game and chasing you to achieve that.
I mean, if the killer won the mind game or chase, should they get reward from it?
Lack of emphaty towards opposing role is spot on.

How do killers get free hits?

What do you mean, a free hit? If you Dead Harded before, that's a situation where the killer would have gotten the hit with any other loadout, and you only avoided it because you had a perk that could function as both a loop extender and a third health state. That's not free.
Sounds like you just got used to having a perk and need to adjust to how the game works basekit.

Same, i was never a fan of exhaustion perks. Because they´re usually on cd when you need them the most.
But, i´ve seen some really skilled players that still use DH after the patch and still get their extra hit from it. So it really seems to be a pure skill issue now.

Yeah.
The people that basically danced on my Nemesis in the other topic would have rolled me with old DH.

I'm using DH still and its saved my behind many times.
What you mean is it's no longer easy free distance that had no counter as basic attack killers.
My advice, learn to play.

They nerfed a broken perk. Its still pretty strong but requieres skill unlike before the nerf

Indeed. Dead Hard is no longer "Press E to Outplay" because now, if you manage to pull it out, it is an outplay.

I’ve seen some skilled plays made with new DH. If you really want your third health state back, learn to do them.

Dead hard wasn't good...it was the most overpowered and BS perk in all of dbd. It was used more than any other perk on either side. Every match there was always 1-2 and very often you had 3-4. Dead hard was a third health state and would extend the chase at the end when the killer was meant to win. Dead hard only works when injured which rewards bad gameplay like noed (unless going for a full on endgame build like with blood warden).
Dead hard was busted and I'm glad I can dance on it's grave. Other killer mains are joining in the dance also.
