Survivor has never been so boring
Sitting in one place and doing literally nothing for 90 seconds (up to 115 with Thanatophobia) is the genius of game design!
And while you are doing so, you either hardly know what is going on, or you use Kindred only to see how your team mates run away from the Hook and not rescue until stage 2 or 3.
Solo q Survivor experience is a disaster.

The repair being filled at the speed you can see now is a cherry on top of the whole solo q thing. I have never felt so powerless in a game.

I have lots of fun doing stupid things as killer, like the 115 Nurse with Bamboozle and Brutal. How to have fun as a Survivor?

Lol, yeah. I will say that the patch really did make survivors have to be more team oriented and what would have been perfect to accompany this, is the release of a ping system or something to help facilitate that extra bit of coordination.

Making the game more team oriented, what could go wrong with this. Lucky we have good matchmaking which gives you equaly skilled players on both sides. No need to solo carry anymore. Right? And lets continue balancing around SWF but forget the Solo Q exitence.

It's almost like it'll take some time for people and mmr to catch up with such a shift in paradigm.
As in like, more than 24 hrs.

This may be really unexpected coming from me, but this patch wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Aside from the bad killers getting free downs because of bloodlust, my survivor games, which were in SWF and solo btw, weren't that bad. Maybe because I wasn't focusing on gens as much.

Because it's genuinely faster to sit on the gen than it is to find teammates, heal (through Sloppy), and then do a gen.

I was surviving some games but not all. Which is why I just brought a FL every game and ######### with the killer. I escaped some games, but that was because I found hatch or I got paired with a genrushing 3 man.

The more balanced the game becomes, the more boring it gets for Survivors.
That's that sad truth and the main reason why the Devs are not actually trying to balance it out, but balance "around fun" instead.
Chases are the only fun part of this game, but they arent supposed to be an balanced encounter for both sides, they need to be Killersided. That's the point of a 4v1 game, but due to the bad gamedesign for Survivors primary objectives it makes the game extremely boring.
Now I don't think it's fair to blame the Devs for this, when they created those mechanics they never expected the game to blow up like it did and gens needed to be timewasters first and foremost, but I will blame them for continuously ignoring this issue away ever since.
Heck, they even nerfed the sh*t out of Deathslinger, a Killer that used to embody this 4v1 balance model perfectly, just to hide this much larger issue.

Gens were flying by before this patch. You want to do gens faster? Bring perks like Prove Thyself.

MMR to catch up? lol MMR cant catch up when its parameters dont have enough players at one time to actually balance. thousand hour players with 100 hour players, but sure dude
