Get better then. Played so many times since patch, solo Q and swf, died only twice, most of my games were escapes. Not stupidly easy ones like they used to be, but escapes.
If you can't play without perks fixing your mistakes, don't blame the game on that

What is many times and how many are solo and how many are SWF? How many times have you survived as solo? I've survived six out of 15 trials. Of the 45 survivors I've been teamed with, eight have survived. I've survived 40% of trials, my teammates survive 13% of the time, 23% total. That's easy mode, sorry.

as a killer main, I seriously don't know how some of you are even defending it.
I'm barely paying attention and I'm getting 4ks with 5 gens still up. this is not fun, this is painstaking boring and the challenge of playing killer has been reduced to zero, none of the wins even feel like an achievement anymore.

i didn't lose a single solo Q match out of like 30? Didn't really count, cuz i was busy counting the 18 Demogorgons in a row I faced. Played around 7-8 swf matches, died in 2 cuz we purposefully threw the game after testing bully builds.
Today played like 5 solo Q games, escaped all. In the past 2h played in swf and threw every single game (aka had a chance to escape, gates opened, but decided to let entity eat me).
so overall my survivor games are hella fun, but i throw a lot cuz i feel bad.
My build for solo Q is Botany, CoH, Lithe and Overzealous. And it looks like I'll stick to that build until Botany gets nerfed.
(Edit, I find those matches actually funny, cuz i'm a killer main, playing survivors only to get the ranks and then dip. But since the patch, i didn't really feel like playing killer at all. I played like 2 matches, but didn't test anything yet)

Because this was the bad killers patch. The kind of killers who want "to be the power role" and "be respected and feared", without actually deserving any power role, respect, or fear.
Back in 2016-17-18-19, when killers were not nearly as powerful as they are now compared to much more powerful survivors, you were taught fear and respect by actually good killers who just outplayed you. That's when you respected them.
For a while now though and especially after this last patch, killers are a joke. The game is forcing a win for them, they don't achieve anything. So at this point it's just hard to tell who's good and who's not good.
This is looking more and more like a cutscene rather than an online PvP game.

survived twice all day- camped and tunneled, can't even do gens to fight camping anymore because it's too slow with thana.

Nobody got a free win. Stop spreading myths and lies at once. I've been a solo Q player since 2016, I even have my Legacy Nea proudly worn as a badge of being a veteran, and nobody but me knows the amount of carrying I had to perform throughout all these years as a solo queue survivor. I didn't get any free win mate.

You won't have any game if people keep leaving. That's not how live service games work. If there is not enough people playing and spending money, support ends. I'm really surprised by the amount of people who have no idea how game development businesses function.
Look up another game that BHVR made: Deathgarden. See what happened to it?

I looped a blight for 2.5 gens in my first game after patch. Gen was completed before I got rescued.
Maybe you were depending on crutch perks instead of developing true skill?

The devs already acknowledge that solo q sucks and they've already mentioned plans to implement buffs directed towards improving solo q. Just because a patch that the devs stated was intended on improving killer kill rate ends up favoring killers does not mean the devs believe fun is only for killers.
Not to mention that survivor meta has seen the least amount of changes over time and survivors finally seeing a lot of meta perks get nerfed and open up their build to other perks is going to take some time. You basically have to relearn a new game as a survivor, don't just get frustrated that your first day wasn't as good as you were hoping.

Killers dealt with being weaker for going on six years. Now that survivor is harder to survive without team work time to uninstall. The entitlement is strong with you.
If you're not having fun then by all means leave, but these posts are everywhere. It has been two days sorry you can't DH for distance, but it was never designed to be a distance tool. Right now we are in the growing stages of a new meta. In time survs will find a new glitch spot or abusable mechanic just give it time. BHVR will do BHVR things.

I never relied on perks. first they made less pallets, then they removed the "New Moon Bouquet", then they removed the fog and brightened the maps, then they made destructible walls, now they increased the rate of pallet and wall breakage, and strengthened "Bloodlust", and slowed down the gens. It's not a soloq game anymore. I don't want to play this game anymore.

The game I mentioned looping blight was a solo game friend. The only people I know that still play DBD are friends I made in 2022. Everyone else on my steam friend list moved on a long time ago. To be fair I have taken long breaks myself.

killers are meant to be the power role in these types of games as your facing 4 survivors not 1 in other games it was 1v8, survivors have to learn to work as a team to outplay the killer. Soon as survivors can't bully the killers any more they get upset and quit, take F13th when they changed Jason rage so you could no longer stun him apart from a few things survivors got upset big time because the couldn't bully Jason for 20 min.
Survivors should have a good chance to escape with perks and working as a team but in the end the killer is the power role and if survivors can't work as a team even with good perks the killer should win. people need to stop this 1v1 thinking of this game its 1v4 if your other 3 teammates are bad and you lose tough luck but that's not the killers fault you had weak teammates.

stop talking about dh. I have never used dh, besides this perk there are other changes that have affected the survivors a lot.

The past 6 years have been stressful. so damn stressful. we had some small blips of hope and then it got nerfed. then survivors got some nerfs but then got boon. This game has been so stressful, unfun, depressing, and honestly the worst gaming experience ever as killer for 6 damn years. now you cant bully or abuse the killer anymore? now the killer has a small edge up on you? so now YOU get to not have fun? i havent had fun in 6 damn years because of your overtuned broken crutch perks

my games have been no different difficulty wise on solo q.
I also didnt use any meta perks either so that may be part of it.

The pick rate for Dead Hard is less than the "mortality rate" of my solo queue teammates after the update. This mean either Dead Hard carried a lot of survivors or killer has been way overbuffed. Both are probably true but weighted more toward the latter.

DH definitely carried. Think about it. Dh changes the way you play. an Overwhelming amount of people ran dh and always dh. they no longer have that gameplay style changing carry perk. they dont know how to handle it.
On games with survivors who know how to play, chases are just as hard. but there are now lots of survivors who i am certain were running dh due to the weird way they are doing chases now and how bad they are at doing them.
I just dont think people want to admit this. Now im sure there are some changes to be made on other aspects as well and will be over time, especially on such a big update but this community is so incredibly whiny and salty over EVERYTHING when it comes down to it, i think many people dont want to admit that when a press E to negate a mistake gets removed, their actual skill comes to surface.

You need to give more information. Why are you dying more? Were you relying on perks that were nerfed? Dead Hard, etc? Are gens taking too long because of the increased repair time? Or is it harder to escape chases because of the basic attack cooldown decrease?

I'm still enjoying solo and the changes haven't made the experience noticeably more difficult. Although I was fortunate enough that the perks I use are unchanged.

Solo Q is just as miserable as its always been. Ive seen basically no difference in my quality of games which is always poor. The only reason i suspect why people are losing their minds is 1. matchmaking is obviously broken right now. and 2. the first killer sided patch in years gave everyone license to complain about all the solo q problems they've always been dealing with.

I escaped all games after patch, i died almost never :(((( Survivor is not death bro... Solo is challange now bro, it is not easy now (it was never easy and it was always challange but alright). People are keep 4K'ing but you take my words. Because TRUST ME BRO, i am telling truth.

Those are all pretty solid points. Personally I think the survivor objective needed to be made harder in some way; it was just too easy for them to pound gens and escape if they were decent enough. Regardless, there's nothing wrong with quitting the game if you're not enjoying it anymore. I wouldn't blame you.

Both killers and survivors play now like headless chickens tho. My Solo Q teammates aren't the sharpest tools, but so are killers. Everyone's testing new stuff.
I'm not a person who was ever stuck to meta builds, so I never really relied on perks to save my butt. So games aren't really hard for me now, but they are more enjoyable than before, cuz you can't predict what perks someone is using.

Dude would you give up after 5 minutes of trying to learn how to ride a bike? It takes ######### time to learn and adjust, ESPECIALLY with a big change like this.

Any video game should be fun. in the case of dbd, it only got worse in 6 years. instead of making other mods, they balance the game under swf. I paid for the game and therefore I have the right to criticize the developers, because the game did not live up to expectations.

I think its funny that people are still saying that it was just the DH and IW nerf thats causing these issues. Killer got a major buff with this patch and they were buffed or survivor was nerfed in the last three before this.

I said nothing about winning be it survivor or killer just that the killer is meant to be the power role in the game, if you take away all the perks, items, addons and offerings and have 1 killer vs 4 survivors the killer should be the power role in that match and the survivors have to work as a team to get out.
The game can only do so much they make a killer i.e ghost face and give it a power after that its up to the player if they win or lose, before this update a lot of perks were to strong on both sides and because of that some of the perks carried people to a win now its coming back to your skill level.
Everybody wants to win there games/matches but sometimes thats not going to happen and you will lose. did you complain before this patch about some of the OP perks for survivors and the game pretty much letting you win no matter how hard killers tried?

Man, if only I could just stand there and get 4 kills. Oh wait, Killer players still have to work for their kills just like always. The only difference now is survivors lost some of their busted perks that gave them massive advantages over ehat should have been the power role.
The gap has been closed between Killer and Survivor, and these changes have not impacted how good survivors can be. They just have less BS ways to cheat killers out of kills now.
I played as killer several times last night, once as Clown and got steamrolled just like old times. I was actively kicking gens and chasing survivors but it made zero difference. They still all escaped.
Yes, Killer buffs happened, but we got nerfs as well. Killer feels much better to play than before but these changes alone are not the be all end all to end the survivors' reign of terror. Good survivors will still stomp killers, period. Now they just have less chances to screw up before it costs them.
