Because Kate and Meg are often played characters and therefore it gives more money. Or they got more inspiration.
I was mad that his new cosmetic is from prime gaming, but one of my friends gave me their code.

I'll always get that popular characters will get more skins but kate is literally getting two this patch and she's also in BOTH votes. It's just unfair especially to the people who play less popular characters.
I honestly feel like more people would play the other characters if they actually released skins for them.

I understand that the community has their favorites and obviously BHVR will make more money making cosmetics for those characters. But it sucks so much seeing characters like Adam get the absolute bare minimum while characters like Kate, Feng, and Meg all have TONS of skins already.
They literally gave Jeff a skin with dreads before Adam got a skin with dreads. Make it make sense to me. It's like they just forget Adam exists.

Adam gets worse than the bare minimum. I'm just certain they could make room in their feng, meg, kate and nea releases to slip at least one skin to the less popular. Literally begging for scraps 😭

Agreed. Meg has a cosmetic in this rift and she got an AOT skin, she doesn't need to have multiple options in the winter one too.
I do think a big problem is they not only don't give certain characters alot of cosmetics but their cosmetics are also not as nice as the ones that get a ton of cosmetics. It almost feels like they do it on purpose to be like "we made a cosmetic but no one wears it so we're not going to bother anymore" 🙄

They did Adam dirty here. I think everything under his head sucks and they could have put in a lot more effort to flash it up a little bit. Photoshop him with some sparkly effects or something. Give him a gold and red kimono with "Demon Slayer" in kanji on the back. How about a killer's outfit like Clowns Santa suit with a fat belly and a bunch of books in his bag. A kappa outfit with cucumber presents coming out from underneath the shell.
That hat mask is funny though.

The outfit is so boring compared to the rest. Everyone else went to 4 different stores to complete their outfits and Adam just went to the bargain section of walmart to get his.
I'd be fine with his outfit if everyone else's was just as simple and minimalistic. But it's not fair that everyone else gets pizzazz and color in their outfits and Adam gets a neutral, dark color, with ugly socks and a santa hat. Like, who in their right mind would want to vote for that when everyone else's is much more interesting. (not shaming the ppl who did, in fact I'd love more people to vote for B, I'm just saying that, in comparison to set A, there's little competition).
It's so disrespectful, it's like they wanted Set B to lose by adding that design in there. The least played character with a lack luster outfit? It feels like it was on purpose.
I still voted for set B cuz I main Adam and am also desperate for him to get something (also I'm sick of David getting attention but that's besides the point), but even tho I love him so much, that outfit is objectively the most boring out of them all.
If the shorts were booty shorts, if he had elf ears or a fun haircut, or his shirt was unbuttoned slightly so we could see his dang cleavage, I'd let it slide. But it's so heteronormative too... it's painful.

Yeah, I voted for set B because of the Yun-Jin cosmetic, but I also loved the others shown too. Too bad that it's likely not going to win, considering the amount of votes for set A. :-(

Yeah the book and hiragana/katakana pattern isn't doing much for me. but i like shorts on male survivors

I don't even play Adam like that, but even I'm getting pissed. I just saw a leak of the 200th Feng Min outfit. WE GET IT! She sells, but the devs still make outfits for these barely played killers. I hardly ever see Trickster but he's getting outfits left and right for every occasion. Same for pigeon lady, I mean The Artist. Adam has not had an outfit in a year. Claudette who is one of the third most played survivors just got a new one on the rift after nearly a year. Maybe she'd sale more if the devs invest in better cosmetics. But someone on the dev team is living out their KPOP fantasy with Feng. It seems all of a sudden in the last year and a half so I'm betting it was a new hire.
Jane, Jake, and Jeff are often left in the dust too. Meanwhile Nea, Feng, and Dwight get some stupid outfit 3x/month. (sarcasm)
Why is Adam only on set B while Meg and Kate, and Trickster get two styles on different sets? Boggles the mind. They didn't even need to put this to a vote. Everyone knows Set A will win.
Edit to add: I'm aware Trickster has a legion of fans mostly based in Asia and so does Feng. When I watch Korean streams she is very popular. My guess is she is the top selling survivor, but I believe behavior could improve other player pick rates if they stop with these mediocre outfits. Bottom line is they suck making male cosmetics except when it comes to Trickster.

Just exclude Meg and Kate from that entire poll and suddenly it's less frustrating because you won't be wasting time creating cosmetics for characters with already hundreds of options.
Also before someone says "They aren't wasting dev time blah blah blah" why are they making you choose. Clearly don't have time to make all of them. All of the designs are nice but it is tiring seeing yet another Meg / Kate cosmetic. Surprised there wasn't a Feng cosmetic in there.
Also - No hate if anyone here plays those survivors. But come on really - About 2/3 of the cosmetic pool for survivors is probably Meg, Kate and Feng.
Personally I'd probably play Jeff more if he had cool options or hell maybe even Adam. I have a bias for Ace and lately Ace has received a lot of love for cosmetics but genuinely would hate to enjoy cosmetics and be playing Adam or Jeff right now.

I love most, except Trickster in set B. What kills me is my main is Hillbilly, and a huge Christmas nerd. That ugly sweater and Christmas lights on his mallet are amazing.I want it so bad, and I know I'll never have it :(

My Trickster heart took a blow. But fr, that Billy sweater cosmetic is so nice! It just feels like they put the obvious amazing choices in Set A so that it would win regardless.

While I agree with most of what you've said Claudette is free with the base game since she is one of the original 4 survivors and she has the 2nd most female cosmetics (3rd most out of all the survivors). She even had 2 cosmetic sets in 1 single rift previously. She's one of a handful that can sit wait to get more cosmetics until the other characters are caught up.
The ones with the most cosmetics - the original 4, Nea, David, Ace and Kate - can all stop getting cosmetics so often until the other characters catch up. Maybe if the artists had to focus on the other characters they'd get better cosmetics people would actually want to buy/wear and would end up getting played more.

The whole idea of locking cosmetics behind votes is dumb, all those skins look absolutely beautiful and should be implemented regardless!!!!

Most of Claudette's earlier numbers are recolors. She had a ton of recolors of the same outfit and special addition outfits before cosmetic releases were a thing. More if you get the charity pack. My point is that Feng can't just be gettnig cosmectics because she is popular because Claudette is popular too. She was more popular before they lightened her P3 outfit. And Dwight and Meg are also OGs and have consistently received new content. Both just got outfits for AoT. Not to mention Dwight's over the top beach outfit. I couldn't begin to rationalize why the devs release cosmetics with clear favorites.

TBH that's a great point! If they wanted Adam to sell better then SELL HIM. Clearly showing some belly and putting women in baggy trousers will always win the community contest so they clearly know what sells. Give adam a Nea level cosmetic devs I dare you.

Just a little more support for the large list of struggling characters is all we're asking for. Instead of literally releasing two feng skins at the same time and two meg skins just have ONE of those be a skin for a less popular character. They will still release insane amounts of popular character skins but then we'll actually be a little further from miserable. What's the point of releasing a character if you're not going to support them?

It would be pretty damn cool if they showed up and was like here. Adam will get 2 store skins and one new tome skin in the next 4 months, we would literally get high on that but feng, nea, meg and kate gamers live in that world 24/7

This was most certainly the pitch meeting. I agree with people who bring up the fact that it usually feels like we get more than this in store when the Christmas update hits anyways.

I don't deny that it sells. I'm trying to raise awareness so that at least 10% of the shared love that nea, feng, meg and kate receive as a group can be shared amongst the unpopular kids in hopes of making them more popular options.

they should never dangle skins in our faces like this. Did they not learn their lesson when they did this for the community cosmetics a few years back. People still will never get over that Yui design. I lowkey think that's why they chose the Yui design this year.
They shouldn't show us things that won't exist it will just make people upset. Like the start game collapse feature they teased, people still yearn for something like that.

It does feel like the artists have a bias. If you sat the main nea artist down and told them to produce a cool adam outfit that would sell I wonder what awesome outfit they would produce...Instead, they just get to adam and go, yeah he's quite a mild boy give him something pretty tame. Jeff suffers from this worse I think. since a couple of Adams has actually been really nice cosmetics. That last sentence was more of a jab at how this Christmas design is especially dull compared to everything in set A but we're that hungry regardless 😥😫

I am not against that. Kate got great cosmetics this year. So if they won't add any for a while and focus on unpopular survivors, i will not mind that. They deserves some love.
