Survivors leaving me on hook and Killers face camping me for having an AOT skin
So with the new AOT collab and having enjoyed the anime, I decided to get the Hange skin since I thought it was my favorite out of them. But after playing games while wearing it, I had many instances where survivors let me die on first hook or times where the killer would tunnel me the moment they saw me and then proceed to face camp me.
At first I simply thought this was dbd players being dbd players and didn't think it had to do with my skin. But as it kept happening and had certain moments like in where a survivor would come to unhook me but once they got a clear view of who I am they would simply run back.
When I shortly played with another survivors with a non AOT skin, these issues rarely happened. Once I went back playing with the Hange skin, these issues spiked right back up in frequency.
And then recently after a game with the skin in where I was left to die on hook again, around 15 minutes later I received a dm on my PS account saying "Next time don't support a racist and his antisemitic anime" which left me in shock. After searching online, apparent there are those who find AOT to be "antisemitic" and thus are ruining the games of players who even have just charms from the crossover.
Have any of you guys experienced thr same issues wearing anything related to AOT and is there any truth to the anime bring "antisemetic"

Pretty pathetic for people to leave you to die on hook or camp you just because you like an anime. I haven't experienced this but it sounds so stupid.

I have not experienced anything like that for having the skins. Sorry that's happened to you.

I've been wearing the Hange skin since the update and had no issues. That's crazy

How is the anime antisemitic

That's really immature

I bought Zarina and Kate skins. I played so many games with Zarina and Kate. But this never happened to me. Ofcourse i had some bad teammates or tunneller killers. But they did not target me for my skin, it was usual DbD.

Not again, they are going to remove the skins just like they removed the leatherface mask because stupid ######### like this.

Honestly when the AoT collab was announced I was a little surprised since it does carry a lot of baggage in some spheres related to discussions about its pro-fascist and antisemitic elements, but I know that most people don't engage with it in that context and think it's just a fun & cool anime. This is probably also not the best platform to really get into the weeds on why it is associated with these things. Sorry to hear you've been bullied for it, though.

I haven’t experienced anything but I’m sorry that happened to you. I hope your games go better. Im also on PlayStation and I turned off my messages a long time ago for jerks like that

I had multiple matches with players wearing various AOT cosmetics and only time they were left on hook was from camping killer or teammates that were useless all around. Solo I had lobbies where I was the only one not in an AOT cosmetic. 😂

It'll happen for like a week and then people will stop, kinda like with Lisa Garland

I gave them my last cent and this is the final straw for myself, theyw on't ever get another dime for me and if some p2w perks come out, which they will, I'll perma quit on the spot if I haven't perma quit already by then. I quit for almost four years, came back a year or two ago, got no problem dropping this pos permanently. I haven't played much since december anyways after the second 48 hour in a row because of the sweatfest mmr made the game. For the longest time reading the complaints about the game and it's horror stories have been more fun than the game.

Sorry that happened to you, we should be able to wear whatever outfit we like. I remember when Cheryl players with the Lisa skin were targeted tor supporting a legendary skin. Such bullcrap.

What was wrong with Lisa?

She was the first legendary and people were tunnelling and moriing her to make some point about the cost

Idiots being idiots. Just forget it and move on.

There's a lot of internet discussion about some of the plot and history of the fictional world from the later seasons. Not sure if i can post links, but look up and article from Polygon.com that spread around a lot, then an opposite opinion article from Collider.com. Just google 'aot antisemitic'.

That really unfortunate. Lets hope that they give legendaries prestige cosmetics or something

So basically people being manchildren about fiction, what next? People up in arms about warhammer 40k's imperium?
2 -
oh god do not let them know about the imperium

As a Jew myself I had no idea this anime was "anti-semitic".
After some googling I guess I understand why people think that way. I have no idea who is the creator and if they intended to create something that looks innocent but actually implies something terrible.
No need to think too much of it, the internet tends to take things out of context.
Use what you like and people have to grow up.

You mean like Pepe the Frog issues that the creator has said they have no idea how said issue came about.....

It's coming Pulsar you know it is....if has any hint of what they like they will stick to it like glue and make it thier own.....which is sad to say the least

I think it was just bad team or unironically bad luck. I doubt it has anything to do with your equipped skins.

Basically yep, people way too sensitive these days.
Re: topic, these are cosmetics from a popular anime series, that you pay for, so use what you like. Killers targeting survivors just because they chose to wear them is childish. If they feel that strongly about it, uninstall and don't play the game anymore, since the items were provided by the developers not the players.

This has happened to me more than once post update and I have no AOT skins, thinks its a mix of the update making people emotional coupled with typical dbd bs.
