I've been stuck on the cleansing totems challenge for 5 games because either I get found first then just camped anyways
Or I just get chased the one whole game and get one hooked

Yeah, well, it's been every ######### game tonight and I'm kinda already sick of it.
8K points per game, facecamped off of first down or tunneled straight off of hook.
Why even bother playing?

I'm feeling the same way. It's almost incomprehensible that Devs advertised they were addressing camping/tunneling, nuked a ton of survivor perks designed to help keep Solos alive a bit longer (to compensate for unpredictable team mates and lack of info), yet actually made it stronger. Like, did they actually think Killers would stop by making it easy?
Of course, their precious 4-man SWF's are faring just fine.

Would like to see SOMETHING done about this finally. Like removing hook grabs, increasing the hook timers when they killer is nearby. It shouldn't be THAT hard for people who are paid to work on this game to come up with a solution or at least make it less appealing to stand by the hook.

Why on earth are you running Head On instead of Borrowed Time, Kindred, or ANY exhaustion perk?
I don't know what you're going for, but Quick & Quiet + Head On looks more like you wanted to spam locker stuns instead of actually doing something useful, like surviving.
That wouldn't necessarily fix the 'camped on first hook' problem, but I mean come on. That's not a build to run unless you're SWF Comms to set up locker saves.

They seriously said that lol. They said "5 seconds BT basekit" will help survivors to against campers/tunnellers. So people won't need to use BT & DS anymore.

My survivor experience today:
Facecamped with insidious by a bubba. Had three gens done by then at least because I ran him as long as I could. I did escape, but my teammates weren't as lucky. Easy 3k for bubba just by standing at the hook. Totally fine and engaging when I had the only real chase.
Then a triple slowdown Spirit who wasn't very good. But gens took forever with thana, pain resonance and overcharge plus surveillance. I completed 3 gens, probably did enough for 7 gens. And she never caught me. But I could not get the exit gate open and the match lasted like half an hour with only 4 gens done. I got full iri emblems. Two teammates spent a lot of time in chase, but the other teammate got tunneled out at 3 gens left and we just couldn't do anything. More engaging, but the slowdown was depressing. She caught me at the exit gate after closing the hatch and spent the egc still unable to catch me. It was really miserable with that much slowdown. .
My killer matches went better, even though I played a killer I don't normally play for an archive: blight. Even on eyrie of crows I was able to keep the match in hand easily.
I can't play killer in the day bc wait times are too long. But I'm pretty much giving up on survivor until they are least bring back the bp bonus. Cause 24k for a 30 min match kinda sucks.

I always thought that once you're locked into an animation that has you pulling the survivor off the hook, that you should be immune to being grabbed. Not only that, but the Killer's power should deactivate within 8 meters of a hooked survivor. Just those two things alone would go a long way in helping to put an end to hardcore camping.

How is this different from before? Killers always camped. The killers who camped before will camp now.
Until we reward killers for not camping/tunneling in a way that makes it stronger than camping/tunneling, this will continue to happen.
Survivors also play into camping a lot, so that needs to change too.
Instead they took away BBQ bonus and nerfed the gen kick perks, so there's even less of a reason to leave the hook than before.
Killers need a base incentive to leave that helps them down/find other survivors.

I've played 20 games and haven't seen straight up facecamping besides endgame which is valid anyways and one pig who didn't even get to kill me because deliverance & OTR.

How about ash dcing 2 seconds into the game and this demogorgon starts to slug and hit on the hook. Solo is terrible. Bvhr fox your matchmaking because right now it’s pathetic

I'm honestly not sure you're serious or even baiting. Especially, in your last sentence.
This patch has literally buffed the killer chase across the board, from base interactions up to bloodlust. What base incentive do you want more to help a down, that you sneeze and the survivors fall to the floor?
You can implement how many incentives you want. The illusion that players will self-police themselves because 'incentives' is just that, i.e. an illusion.
The viable alternative to camping has been implemented. If players don't take it, then the task is not to overload that alternative, but to make camping not as viable.

And then we arrive once more at the main problem of survivor-gameplay: The teammates and the lack of informations, when u are alone and no one in the lobby runs Kindred.

Sure nerf camping if you can find a way to do that they doesn't have consequences elsewhere in the game, like giving survivors a bunch of free extra time or free unhooks and punishing the killer for defending from the save.
As far as I have seen no one has done that.
The chase buffs have nothing to do with camping directly. Just because killers are better in chase doesn't give them a reason to not camp. It just means they can down and then camp faster. If someone personally doesn't want to camp, like me, then yeah those buffs made their life a little easier.
What reason do they have not to camp? More specifically, what competitive reason do they have to leave the hook and go do something else? Because going for the 12 hook game and/or giving free unhooks is not it. Finding a gen to kick with the still small regression and subpar kick perks is also not it.
Before we at least had BBQ, Pop, ect. now what reason do they have to leave a hook for?
Also just to be clear I'm not in favor of camping, I would love for it to be reduced or outright gone. But there isn't really a solution available. Incentives are better than nothing, which is what we have now as far as I can tell.

Mine are either camping and tunnelling or everyone slugged on the ground at 4/5 gens 😭

That's just... that's just a yikes. I hate getting camped and tunneled so I personally try not to in my matches. I've never entirely viewed them as valid strategies because they just feel so so CHEAP when it's not so close to the end of the game that you feel you have no choice. 3 generators left? Not even pre-patch would I think 3 generators left is a valid time to start hard camping and tunneling. That's gross.

Isn't THAT the whole point of the update? Encourage people to use different perks? I bet most killers would prefer solo Qs with q&q + head on than someone with sprint burst, fixated and vigil.
Your "that's not a build to run.." sounds very off to me, reminds me of the days where people would rage quit if they got unhooked without BT event though the killer was nowhere nearby (BUT BUT BUT BUT THEY DIDN'T BRING BT *crying in survivor*).
Maybe we should stop shaming people for perks they use.

How many "I camp because its the only way to win, if you buffs us, make gens take longer, get rid of DH, add base minipop etc I wouldnt need to camp to win" threads did we had?, those kind of pleas were super common. BHVR did all of that and surprise surprise, people still camp and tunnel like madmen, not really a surprise because between 2 options giving the same reward most people will take the easiest one.

yeah as solo survivor a few nights ago i was getting shafted ..... had a game vs a doctor it got dragged out forever .... then a game vs artist 1 gen got finished we all got killed .... solo it feels like is near impossible. safe too say i havent bothered playing since and ive played tons of killer more than survivor but i just find survivor an annoyance more than fun so il pass playing at all. for now lol

And the Pinhead probably won the game with that move. 3v1 with 3 Gens to go is a win for the Killer, as long as the remaining Survivors are not way better than the Killer.

That does suck, no one is doubting that. But why did your team mates leave you there? He is not a bubba they could at the very least do an exchange.
Camping is not effective if the team mates do gens whilst peps do exchanges etc.

90 second gens, plus slowdown plus Pinhead's Box means, actually, he can totally do this viably.

I think videotape pig would also be able to do this viably too, thanks to improved cooldown they don't even need to grab survivors too.

it's viable on every killer now, camp your first hook at 4/5 gens then 3v1 is even harder to win than before, before you could just do gens and leave now you can't, good thing that everyone told them in PTB that they're buffing camping dangerously but then it goes live anyway

I've been doing well/having chill games, but I think my MMR has dropped to 'the chill zone' due to the previous tome.
Escaped 3/7 games last night but made bank in them all/no camping or even tunneling.
Some of my friends have had it rough, though.
It seems like a dice roll for most users, though, from what I am reading.
Certain perks should probably be readjusted to take into account the new gen times or gen times should be reverted if current numbers are final.
Tunneling and camping are harder to address without removing killer agency, which is probably why a viable change has never been found.

Has anyone asked the devs what they think "camping" or "tunneling" actually is? I'm not sure they know, and we might could clear this up with a clarification
