Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

A lot of solo Q's bad time right now is due to teammates not even wanting to try.

First, I want to say that I agree the current meta is clearly too strong against solo survivors. Gen regression and gen slowdown perks stacked together can deny a lot of progress from the survivors, make the game really long and way too hard on teams without comms.

HOWEVER, I've seen some people in the forum sugesting survivor games are "unwinnable" and killers are overpowered even when perkless right now. That is far away from the truth. The base-kit changes are not the problem, if anything, they were the best part of this patch. At this point I've seen multiple games as solo survivor where we were winning until someone decided to ragequit and THROW the whole match away.

As an example, yesterday I had a game where a survivor ragequitted right after being downed by a Legion for the FIRST time. Only one gen had been done. Even with only 3 people against a Legion with a ridiculously strong build we managed to do 3 more gens until he finally managed to kill us all with 1 gen left. With 4 people, we could've had a considerable chance of winning.

Now, I just had another match with a similar problem. It was against the Pig in MIDWICH, one of the best maps for killers, the one with the higest kill rates, by the way. I was the only one with an actually good item (event med-kit with two add-ons). Everyone else had just brown med-kits. So, no toolboxes.

But turns out she didn't have any gen slowdown perk. Two gens were completed during the time it took for the Pig to get her first hook, on me. Another gen completed not much later. We had a CLEAR advantage, just had to keep going like that and we would do all gens. Her number of hooks wasn't keeping up with us.

But then a survivor RAGEQUITTED right after being downed for the SECOND TIME, in the middle of a match that was going on OUR favor. After that, 3 people was much easier to pressure than 4, so it went downhill and we ended up losing.

She didn't have meta perks, she got nothing on us, we were on the way to probably win until a single guy threw the game. I get killers with strong builds are too strong right now, but you can't complain about "killer OP" when the main reason everyone lost the match was you throwing it.

TL; DR: Yes, killers are too strong right now against solo queue, but it's far from impossible to win as survivor and too many people seem to be throwing instead of trying.

That's fair, solos really need some form of communication or something.

Legion probably needs to lose DW and get buffed/reworked elsewhere so that he's not just a snooze to face.

While there are reasons for not liking to play against slowdown Legion, ragequitting will just make sure the game even worse for all the other survivors.

There are a few things that could be done, like base-kit information and a ping system (I really like the idea of a ping system).

About Legion, I don't think Deep Wound is the problem. The problem is on how strong these perk builds are, and Legion just gainst more value from Thana, making it even more oppressive on them. Nerfing Legion on base-kit would be a bad thing.

Putting a cap to how much slowdown you can stack would be a good start.

It is only going to get worse many survivors are still ranking up but as soon as people reach rank 1, you are going to see a lot of games end in the first 5 minutes. This game is a lot of fun, and a good chase will keep me coming back, but thana legion needs to go. Save the best for last needs to be nerfed, regression perks need a limit.

Uhm your Grade level (There are no RANKS) has nothing to do with matchmaking.

People don't care about their MMR they care about getting the 1 million blood points at the end of the month. There is nothing holding you to a single game after you have reached rank 1, you are only increasing or decreasing your MMR if you escape/die. (Personally why I think you should be able to lose pips at rank 1, most DCs and people giving up would stop).

I am trying to explain that people don't care about escaping when they reach rank 1, so if they aren't having fun, they aren't going to play the game out. I understand that MMR is no longer tied to rank, and I think that is also a bad decision but that is another tangent.

I have tracked EVERY match I have played since 2017 - over 5k hours as survivor and killer combined with a near 50/50 split.

The rate of survivors dying purposefully on hook/DCs has risen across ALL grades the past few days by slightly over 3%. I did the math a few weeks ago and there was only a .2% increase in Grade 1 players dying purposefully on 1st or 2nd hook/DCing after first down compared to Iri Grade 3 to Ash 4.

And again.. There is no RANK it is GRADE. Ranks were taken out of the game on September 7, 2021.

All my rage quitters have been rage quitting when a killer with 3-4 slow down perks who camps at 5 gens has one of us dead at 2-5 gens so we've effectively lost anyways. I've had too many games where we get down to 2-3 gens and then it just becomes a complete stalemate on any gen progress until one survivor finally dies and then its purely hopeless.

You don't know if those rage quitters had already had several matches like that.

    I don't encourage it but I understand.

I have to agree that teammates giving up early is frustrating but it’s just as common as campers/tunnlers(as in, it’s frequent but not “every match”)

the biggest issue is a 4 stack slowdown that seems to be in 80% of my matches the last few days. The only matches I escaped on were ones the killer had 1-2 slowdowns and they still 2k’d.

Honestly I D/C'ed today on my third Legion with all the slowdown perks. It was like he was playing specifically to make the match as long as possible.

I just can't do it anymore. Especially because I have a life and BHVR expects to make money off of me. I'm too aware of paying to be made miserable.

Not wanting to try!? Not wanting TO TRY!?

Then what the ######### have I've been doing all this time?!

I've been rushing gens like there's no tomorrow and still here I am looking for a hatch. What the ######### have I not been doing?

Yeah, honestly, a lot of my games I already had to do 3 or 4 gens by myself and NOW? That extra 10 seconds feels like an eternity when you are in a 2v1.

Conversely, I low-key couldn't even tell when someone had the Dwight perk that makes the gen go faster if there are two of you. It looks extra zoom zoom now. I might start running it. Prove Thyself, I finally remembered... lol.

During the event survivors were glued to gens. Finished all 5 gens often before the killer even got 5 hooks.

How's that different from what's going on now? They weren't allergic to holding m1 back then.

During the event I've seen survivors escape with 12-14k bloodpoints. Now I see survivors die with 25k bloodpoints and they complain how bad the game is?

I usually played with my friends or as killer while event.

My games were usually chill and good. I farmed a lot bp and flans.

Well it depends on your gameplay i guess. If you sweat so much, you are getting sweaty players as well.

Played almost exclusively solo queue during the event. Even when the killer wasn´t sweating, my teammates did everything to get out asap.

Well i had some bad games too but they were not common. Most of times when i played killer, i just hooked everyone twice (if they were not toxic) and i did let them go. And for more BP, i played with Hex: Plaything. So i did let them get more BPs.

It was good event for me. But it is me ofcourse, maybe someone else had bad games

My matches were kinda to fast. Had teammates escape with 12 to 14k base bloodpoints. When there are several flans in play, i´d like to spend some more time in the match and actually get some points.
