Killers should not let survivors win
Killers that keep letting survivors win are doing nothing but messing with the numbers. When killers do this they just pad the metric that the devs are looking at to decide how to buff or nerf things. I personally will waste a killers time instead of them allowing me to escape. Play the game as you want to just know that by letting survivors escape you are skewing the numbers that devs look at to determine what needs a buff/nerf.

What do you mean what? Since the devs are looking at the number of kills per game if a killer is letting survivors escape they are padding that metric. I didn't think that would be hard to understand.

How do you waste their time? If they are letting you live, realistically the only thing you can do is let the entity kill you during EGC. Is that what you are talking about?

What's the amount of survivors let go, like.. 0.5%?
Think I'd rather just accept the killer's generosity and not waste their time than slap it out of their hands over a percent of a percent of a percent.

All joking aside if anyone is genuinely playing in certain ways with the idea being that they are going to somehow impact the devs decision making based on a metric that has thousands of other players games going into it they might not be thinking clearly

If someone DCs it's fine, devs don't count the games where there's atleast 1 DC. Probably doesn't help that survivors DC when they're losing and not when they're winning so alot of 3k/4k matches didn't count towards kill rates thanks to the survivors that DC'd.

They have to close the hatch for that to happen. So if a killer drops me by the hatch ill just sit there and do something else on my computer until they get bored and close it or put me on a hook. If a killer should have obviously gotten the kill then they should just end the game.

I just had a killer let my whole squad leave the match its got to be more than that.

I'm not talking about DC. If the killer kills all but the last survivor and then tries to take them to the hatch or opens the door for them then they are letting them win.

I bought the chicken clown cosmetic solely for the joy it brings me to farm with survivors in it because it's a wonderful pun. I literally play chicken clown with no perks and just the party bottle addon and only go for direct hits on them with the yellow bottles. It makes me happy. I've odne it for years. I also play every PTB as said chicken clown to meme on twitch players. These things make me happy.
I refuse to quit because the devs are only interested in listening to balancing advice from sweat lord killer mains who wake up every morning and look themselves in the mirror and say to themselves "you HAVE to tunnel and camp to win!"
You dont have to tunnel and camp to win. If you do you just suck at the game. Also, you dont have to win every game. You dont have to play to win. You can play to have fun. Remember fun, Jimmy? You used to love having fun.

Well said. Killers must expect 4k every game to consider it a win. I consider 2k a win when I play killer. Although its been 4k almost every match right now.

But I can win either way, by camping and tunneling or playing like Otz. Killer dependent, of course. I just CHOOSE to face camp because that is what makes ME happy. I do not sweat at all, I actually am usually playing Fate Grand Order while I do it. Extremely easy. Once I was eating ice cream WHILE responding to a salty survivor who messaged me on PSN and still got a 4k. If that is not skill, I so not know what is...

Cool if it doesn't work for you but when a killer is trying to give me the win whey they could have clearly killed me ill just stand there. If they try to drop me on the hatch ill sit there until my timer runs out. Most of the time they get bored and put me on hook.

The developers need to look at more than winrate.
If that's all they look at (which i doubt), then this game is doomed

I can win with trapper with no perks or addons or offerings and without interacting with a single survivor until 4 gens have been done.
I just take every single trap and place them all in one undisclosed location and then wait in said location. They all come to me like moths to a flame wondering if I'm AFK and one by one succumb to my oddly effective trap placement. Try and one up that!

How so? Please tell me how its backwards? If the killer doesn't kill me it tell the devs the killers aren't getting all the kills per game they should be. So please explain?

That's what happened yesterday with me. 2 Survivors Rage Quit (they were a 2 man SWF). After that I let the other two do 4 gens, break totems, stun me, hook saves, and leave. Sure, I'm not the friendliest when it comes to Survivor moaning about balance, but i'm not heartless. I play equal amounts as Survivor and Killer, and I know how much DC's ruin it for Survivors. Kind of ruins it for me as a Killer too. I want a good balanced match, not a PUBSTOMP.

Because survivors are always screaming about no tunneling or camping, so I always go for 2 hooks because I want to, but by your logic apparently I'm only allowed to 4k because I deserve it

If you have to camp or tunnel you are not a good killer first of all. I never said you deserve 4k if you can get it you should quit padding the numbers to suit killers so they get buffed every patch like they have for the past 4 patches.

No if you get 4k by camping or tunneling then ok, it just means you are a bad killer. If you are down to one survivor and you just stand there watching while they finish generators or find the hatch then you should have killed them.

Well I mean, it never gets down to 1 person for me because I always let all 4 out (or 3 if I can legit not remember if you were on death hook), honestly, I'm pretty sure my MMR is decreasing for doing this, and I'm fine with that, more time to be nice for survivors just getting into the game

But like, that's not a bad thing, just because I want to do that, there are other killers out there, probably 10x more than me, who will tunnel camp and kill, I'm like 1 in 100 people, my stats won't effect garbage

Why? The hatch doesn't count as an escape as far as kill rates go, it's neutral.
At that point, it's a 50/50 chance you get to the hatch first anyway, you're not skewing any data.
You're just wasting everyone's time, your own BP, and the killer's good faith.

It's not because of killers letting survivors live.
There has and will always be a subset of killers who let survivors live. Always. And yet killers have historically had a 50-60% kill rate anyway.
Killers were getting less than that. Not because they all started letting survivors live.

You re the one out touch if you think this happens on such a large scale it would change average data even in the slightest. Not to mention it only counts gate escapes, not hatch

Where did you see that the hatch doesn't count towards escaping because that makes no sense what so ever? How do you know it doesn't count?

Where does it say that hatch doesn't count? Even still that's a kill that could have counted. Play the game as intended and get the kill if you can.

There are 3 reasons That I will give hatch
Number one as a sign of respect to someone who's a really good player and gave me a really good match.
Number 2 if someone literally gets screwed over because of a crappy team mate or disconnect I'll generally gives at least hatch if not just let them go through the gate
Number 3 if I could tell that they're new and just gotten misplaced against me and that and they probably need the blood points I'll give it to him
