My matchmaking has been horrible as killer recently I have around 500 hours in the game and was going against people with about 800 to 1000 before the update and did pretty well now after the update I am going against people with 2000 hours minimum closer to 2500 or 3000 and getting stomped and there's not much I can do to win but this is only on my main its worse on my other killers as going against new players and god players I just had a killer game with a 5000 hour player with a team of 3 new players all around 20 hours or so which sucks as I just want a fair match but haven't had one sense the update dropped, its like when mmr was introduced all over again, any of you guys experiencing this?

"guys I think mmr is broken because sometimes I lose!"

Once you have 500 hours in this game, you should know all you need to reach a soft skill cap. You aren't new anymore. More hours won't mean better players. Mmr working fine.

Survivor meta perks have been nerfed which means that, on average, survivor MMR will go down. Lets say just for the sake of arguement that your MMR is 1600. You could do pretty well against a team that had about the same points, getting at least 1 or 2 kills on average with the old perks. Now with the survivor having to use weaker perks, the same 1600 group won't be as much of a challenge for you and as such you'll be given better survivors, lets say ones that were 1800 before. They went up against god tier nurses and blights until they got kicked back down to you, a competent, but not great killer.

SoloQ might be kill, but SWFs can still absolutely dominate killers other than cracked Nurses and Blights.

Also, SBMM is notoriously bad and has been since day one of its implementation. You could always just be having a rough patch without any reason at all. I remember about a month ago, getting absolutely monster survivors with Huntress no matter how badly I lost each time.

As random as ever really. I would say something has changed but MMR is such a bad system I can’t tell

All over the place. And while it always is, atm its extreme.

But since there are multiple variables involved that affect the match outcome it's hard to pin down. Give it a few weeks and most people have played 50+ matches which should move them closer to an mmr bracket they can/should compete in. After that matchmaking should be back to normal. Which doesn't mean good - just the same degree of all over the place as usual.

Oh you know same as before. Potato dwight, bush claudette, boon and self-care in corner Mikaela. The usual.

Mine has been really random . Pretty much the same either heavy sweat swfs, or absolute noobs . I can tell the solo qs that get put into a match generally aren't at the same level as the 1-2 man group .

I'm not sure, they look like insane swf bully squad, but playes like a children.

MMR runs opposed to queue times, since most players would prefer to play SOME game than sit around waiting for a perfectly matched one. In this patch while survivors are licking their wounds, queue times are basically destroying any sense of MMR and that's by design.

Genuinely considering uninstalling the game for the first time in 4 years. I have never been this frustrated with survivor matchmaking.

This MMR was the worst thing ever to be implemented in DBD. Literally everyone told BHVR to leave the old rank system as it was.

Judging by the few trials I played...bad.

But then again, Matchmaking has been horrible ever since MMR was introduced.

You would think after almost a year of everyone complaining, BHVR would’ve fixed the MMR but they obviously don’t care.

If BHVR cared, they wouldn't have introduced this system in the first place, to be honest.

It is like they are incapable of recognizing their mistakes and act accordingly. There is nothing shameful about reverting a change, even if it took time to implement it.

    They have done it before.

    They should do it again.

I'm ok with an MMR system if they actually utilize it. But what's the point of having high MMR if you just end up matched with new accounts or 3 teammates that go down in under 10 seconds to a powerless Oni? There's zero reward for playing solo queue survivor anymore. The matchmaking is garbage and your good plays don't matter
