Borrowed time needs a nerf
The basekit bt should be 8s, and bt nerfed to 7s, numberwise its exactly the same, but gives the basekit bt more leeway for an escape

Honestly BT should rework to different perk and basekit BT should be at least 12 seconds.

Then whats the point of running BT as a perk, I honestly think it's fine as is

The point is to extend the duration of the pitiful 5s, which doesn't have much leeway as 8s imo

For real though, unless I miss aim a lunge at the unhooker I never really noticed the base BT. Granted, I now normally go for the unhooker (because I am a good killer! Notice me, Survivor-sempai) unless some extraordinary circumstances force me to tunnel, but on the other hand isn't this how it should be?
If you don't tunnel, BT shouldn't be a problem or even noticeable, and if the killer tunnels, then a basekit function shouldn't always cover you from all angles, that's what real slotted perks are for, but it should protect you from the most brazen of tunnels, ie the ones that hit you when your fert touch the ground.

I just think BT should straight up be reworked, and heavily increasing the base duration of Endurance after an unhook. Maybe BT can fit more into the name and become more "borrowed time", like each gen that pops increases the duration you can remain on hook for?

Borrowed Time: you get a 1min timer after unhooking, if you get hit during that time you gain Endurance, but the bleed out timer ticks down for a minute, then you go down, no matter what. Make the time you got left count, Samurai! (of course, after going down someone can pick you up).

I can agree that the basekit BT is a joke and as a killer main I was like really 5 seconds. I thought it would definitely get buffed after the ptb. I've only seen basekit BT active once and that was because I some how swung through the unhooker and hit the person behind them getting unhooked.

People are still trying to argue 5 seconds is a lot. I don't think people that say that even play the game.

5 second isn't even close to enough the problem is the made it basekit so you don't need to run the perk but if you want to get value out of it then you need to run the perk. I'm also in the opinion to revert the stun nerf on DS because ive seen it used and 3 second just doesn't feel like enough time to get away.

I do try and avoid going for the unhooked guy, but i will take a swing at them to deny deliverance, i will leave them alone after that though

The BT effect that's inherent should be extended so that if someone is hooked inside the basement they at least have enough time to run out of the basement and away from it for a bit before being able to be downed.

This! On both accounts. Pre-patch I was often forced to tunnel, because the games were often stacked against me, and when I got hit by DS I was pretty miffed and had to try hard to find the survivor again.
Post-patch I hardly ever need to do so, but when it happens I hardly even notice. I think the deactivation during the EGC is pretty much a good enough nerf, so they could revert it back to 5s. And with the way tunneling and campaign seems to be running rampant right now, maybe device a system if you get downed within 30s of getting unhooked, you regain your DS charge. This would at least give survivors a fighting chance against hardcore tunneling, without hurting accidental or opportunistic killers.

I've practically teleported to the other side when swinging at the unhooker many times lol.
The bug thing about enduring effecting DS was that it happend on the first down and you could not try and hit the skill check and save it. I think the 5 seconds would be fine or make some kind of effect that effects mobile killer because they are the real issue with ds.

Lol, people don't even run the current BT anymore because of the 5sec basekit.

Oh, here is another idea: leave basekit BT at 5s, but give them not a +7% speed bonus, but +50%. Let them zoom off as if they got hit with Overcome, leaving the unhooker back with the killer. No more tunneling, a decent chance at breaking up a camp and the killer gets a good chance at hooking the next victim.

I only tunnel at 2 gens if all survivors are still in game so when ds hit it sucked because I was at the point that if I don't remove someone my chances to win are slim to non. Now it seems pointless especially against a nurse or blight that will be right on top of you in 4 seconds(counting the stun)

5 seconds with a 7% haste seems like plenty enough to make it to a tile after an unhook. The only time it wouldn't really help is when you're hooked in a dead zone.

I had a laugh on Midwich, getting unhooked in a hallway with the killer coming up our ass lol I got to a doorway and the 5sec was over
