Day 1 player here
Been through every meta, from sabbing every hook on the map so killer only has basement and was forced to run iron grasp (hooks used to not regen), to the last stale meta of dead hard and DS.
I am a high level player so I've always been able to hold my own, even with the current changes which are terrible by the way. But the casual player has absolutely been destroyed by this latest update.
I play with several casuals including my girlfriend and they very rarely escape now. Maybe once every 8-10 matches when SoloQ, and a little more often when playing with me. Killer has been made way too easy to play. 9 year olds on xboxes with no headphones and all yellow perks can easily 4k lobbies now with minimal effort. Surely this was not the intended effect of the patch? It shouldn't be this easy for killers, and it definitely shouldn't be this difficult for the casual survivor. This is a big blunder by this dev team, and I can guarantee will result in shrinking player numbers over time as more and more casual grow tired of getting wrecked in almost every match they play.
Again, played since day 1, seen every meta, and this is unspeakably bad. This is going to kill the game if not addressed. The casuals will not continue.

Me and my friend have been escaping almost every game, unless we are against a Nurse or blight. We personally love the fact that the game is harder on the survivor side now :) but that is just us.

Yep, game sucks now. The game will lose a lot of players if not fixed.

I'm talking about casuals. I'm a skilled player and still find plenty of exits but the casuals are getting wrecked. Casual killers vs. Casual survivors is super imbalanced now.
I suspect you are NOT a casual since you post here

Proofs? I hear a lot "I escape every game" and all these players and up being killer mains. That's strange isn't it?
And even if you do escape "almost every match", do you realize that it's your own anecdotal experience? I don't know any solo survivor who would escape over 50% of his game and I know very good loopers.
The official escape rate was 45% before the patch, afaik DEVs said the escape rate in soloQ is 12% lower, that means soloQ escape rate is around 35-40%. After the patch it's not higher than 30%. For casuals it's even lower, maybe 20-25%. This is not ok. No one plays games to lose 75% of his games, it's not fun, players will leave.

Nobody cares how long you played this video game

If that is the case then you are the very few that do. In most of my Solo Q matches, I am left to die by everyone literally. Nobody wants to get chased, and nobody wants to take a ****ing hit. Literally.. I wish BHVR would change how the MMR works. I am sick of dying and taking Killer aggroo a majority of the ****ing time and the one to die as everyone finishes gens and gets out. I remember a group of 3 swf's literally just let me die on hook as they escaped (mind you was my 1st hook too as they finished the last gen (edited)). Does it feel bad, yeah it does. Now its worse with this update. Now we got squatters in the back corner, doing nothing all match then they leave through hatch or get out through a gate. How does that help with my MMR??? Me and the 2 that did gens all match and took aggro all match end up dying and that one person that sat in the back corner that didn't do squat gets out with no hooks and hits. Man does it suck...it makes me boil. I could probably boil ramen noodles with the amount of steam coming out of my head.

I've been a player since around huntress release and I agree to this at some extent. The main problem with this is the unreliability with MMR. If mmr actually functioned properly the casual player wouldn't have such a hard time. After patch didn't exactly change anything though. Before patch the casual player had many safe nets like gen rushing and dh which required minimal skill. It was always up to that 1 cracked dwight that runs killer around. For me I believe it was always about the looping skill of the survivors that you are paired with. You almost never get paired with a full team of cracked vets vs a very good killer, it's always 3 trash survivors and 1 good survivor vs an okay killer. Just combinations like that.
So basically it's not necessarily about casual players getting recked because of patch but because of mmr screwing them over time and time again. If there where 4 casual survivors vs a casual killer this game would be as balanced as can be Eben with the new gen times

I’ve been enjoying all my survivor games with exception to one match vs a Nemesis that was just a dick at a survivors first hook with 5 gen camping and the No Mither Kate refusing to do anything but hide.
Kindred reveals all. Lol.

Honestly. I love the update as both killer and survivor. Killer it feels less stressful. As a solo surv escaping feels more rewarding.
Then again, ive always said that escaping should be a feat of str for a team that worked together not just because someone had better perks. I always how ever certain things do need to change a bit. Like ds. As much as ds is annoying. All it really needed was to be turned off in end game.
