What happened ?
I'll keep things short.
- used to be addicted to DBD.
- mained Bubba before he was considered strong.
- 5000 ish hours in DBD.
- left gaming entirely a couple months ago to work on my real life carrer (successfully).
- started gaming again and played a couple matches of DBD yesterday.
Haven't checked the latest patch notes but I'm noticing it feels like hideously easy to win even though I should be losing as I'm obviously rusty from the long break I took.
Have survivors been nerfed or something?

Congrats on the career. Dh is gone and so is survivor morale. Give it a few days and theyll probably improvise, adapt, overcome. Which should be 3 seperate perks that goes well together btw.

Yes, Survivor was fairly substantially nerfed.
DH is worse.
DS is worse.
Holding W is worse.
Pre-dropping is worse.

The DH change is 1 thing I noticed during my games. Survivors now do that goofy looking slow animation and basically get BT from getting hit.
Not sure what to feel about that but the slow, goofy animation made me laugh not gonna lie.
I could tell their morale was on the low side, too. Had a couple survivors just give up and point at hooks. Felt like a huge waste of time for everyone.

Survivor has been nerfed but I suspect your MMR to be rather low too.

They already stated the animation will be changed accordingly as the old animation isn’t fitting anymore
