You don't have to complain about the current balance anymore, the devs enabled rubber-banding again so Killer is yet again unplayable!
Conspiracy theory aside, why. Just why.
Why can't the devs release a single patch that doesn't make Demogorgon unplayable?
EDIT: Everyone keeps commenting about Survivors also being affected by rubber-banding, and that sucks.
No one likes getting rubber-banded, but this post is based on my experience, and I haven't experienced any rubber-banding as Survivor, and I have been playing Survivors more than Killer just because of the rubber-banding

Haven't had any issues with rubber-banding as a Survivor, but Killer is miserable. Had multiple hits refunded, and even lost chases/games because of it

I've also been rubber banding as survivor. After the patch it was gone for like 2 days, yesterday I experienced it again.

Didn't experience any rubber-banding yesterday, and I only played Survivor because of how bad the rubber-banding is on Killer.
It was fine during the Anniversary, and a bit after, but it's back, and Demogorgon has to once again collect dust until they fix it

Rubber-banding has always been both sided. It's because they run on amazon servers which are complete trash.

You basically teleport all over the place, and with Demogorgon, you basically can't use Shred at all

That sounds like your internet. It is not rubberbanding.

Rubber-banding is NOT teleporting all over the place.
Basically what happens is that the server de-syncs so that on your screen you're running forward, but the server thinks you are actually 1 second behind your location, so you kind of jump backwards (like a rubberband). It basically can deny killers a hit at vaults/pallets if they rubberband ever so slightly backwards and cause survivors to get hit at pallets or also at vaults.
It feels as almost your game stutters a little bit when you're running so you don't make any distance for a second.

Ah, I've suffered from this a few times, but is it not just a connection problem? when the internet is slower for me that's when it happens

It's slightly different from just having internet connection issues because the actual jump back that your character has isn't related to a dip in your internet, although, it could maybe make you more prone to desync issues. No one really knows exactly the issue that is happening to cause the server errors, some streamers think capping FPS helps, but people seem to still have the issue with this "fix."

Even if it is the servers, that would still be affecting everyone, you're the one talking about "conspiracy" theories and talking like it wouldn't affect survivors.

Rubber banding managed to prevent me from dropping a pallet, or doing any other action in a timely manner several times. It's a PITA.
For killer too, obviously.

I literally experienced it in solo-queue this morning and a Clown managed to down me because of it. Rubber-banding doesn't just affect killers, you know?

I don't believe it only affects Killers, I've only experienced it as Killer, which is why I made that joke.

In the last Clip you had the high ping symbol, so I would assume that this situation was indeed due to bad ping, however the Symbol was not present in the other two clips.
Btw, you can see survivor experiencing rubberbanding in Zubat's videos for example, if you have trouble believing it.

~50 ping is not that high, there's was no reason for me too not be able to leave my spawn for a few seconds, or get an entire hit denied

I think you're right, amazing_grace and your explanation to me made me understand the subject a little, and he even talked about a solution that streamers gave about decreasing the FPS, BHVR already knows about the problem Or just haven't found a solution for it yet?
And o know it has nothing to do with the subject, but... damn the Demogorgon is really cool to play from what I saw in the video! Is there any chance of him coming back?

I don't know if the devs have a solution, they probably do but are waiting for the Mid-Chapter or the next Chapter to release it.
I doubt Demogorgon will be coming back, but I think you can still buy him with the Nightmare Edition, or with keys

Exactly! I've had rubber-banding on both sides. I just wish I recorded that one Wraith match of mine. This demonstration of some particularly grating rubber-banding should help clue anyone that lacked a visual aid into what's happening.

This last mid-chapter patch they said they "fixed" it, but clearly it's still here. From what it sounded like, BHVR knows it's server issues, but fixing an issue like this is hard to fix without turning the servers off to really find the problem. They're working on it.
Demo will probably never come back to DBD. The only way to get the license back is if Netflix and BHVR strike up a deal, which is highly unlikely to happen, but not impossible.
All these videos you shared kind of proved that it's just your internet connection😅
You could argue that the second video it was a slight rubber band maybe, but I don't even think that one was a rubber band issue. That one was just a server bad and maybe you had a hiccup in connection because the game isn't optimized well.
You can see in the first and last video that you have the little connection meter thing at the top showing there was a dip in connection (only white, so not too bad, but still a dip). Rubberbanding generally isn't you teleporting positions but instead just stuttering in place, making a lunge attack a short attack when you're super unlucky.

As far as I know white means that you are between 100 and 150 ms, red means you are over 150 ms. (Edit: Wiki says white means more than 150ms, red more than 300ms, so that is probably right.)
Well I never experienced rubberbanding and I know that it affects both sides, so I'm suprised that someone as active in the forums as you missed it.

Has anyone tried messing with their fps limit? I noticed when mine is 105 or lower, no rubberbanding occurs but if it is higher, then I experience it occasionally. There was another forum user that had the same solution as I did and it worked for them, but there was also a situation where a user experienced rubberbanding no matter what they changed their limit to.
I don't know what the fix is to it and I'm just putting this out there in case it helps anyone as it did for me.
