Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Sunday felt the most normal since the patch.

For both killer and solo survivor. For survivor I had a noticeable improvement in quality of teammates. The killers I played against were about the right level. There were less of the annoying killer builds and I was getting 3 to 4 escapes for every 2 times I died

For killer my queue times were much closer to normal. Usually 30 - 60 seconds for a match and the survivors I went against seemed like we were close in skill level. Some games gens still flew by and everyone escaped but I had everyone on or near death hook and I felt like I really had a chance to win, as opposed to watching all 4 escape while I was only able to get 3 hooks total pre-patch. During endgame I felt like I was actually a threat to the survivors and could tell they were debating a lot more on whether or not to make risky plays. Most of my games were 2k - 3k with most or all gens being done, with the rare 4k.

Overall this patch is feeling better and better on both sides.

Yeah i feels this too. Yesterday my teammates dont dive up early and gen up more faster, i could escape 4 times in a row, i liked yesterday, and as killer, matches feels like normal

I had far less d/c's as well. I don't think anyone d/c'd when I was playing killer, and I only rember 2 as survivor.

No... that would mean the survivors were... blowing things out of proportion?

That's not like them at all.

Soopeople started figuring out the meta and stopped immediately killing themselves on first hook and now games are actually winnable?

Noooooooo, but that would mean people were overreacting and whining like children? That can't be true can it? Neither side ever overreacts to changes in this games right?

Ah yes, the meta of holding m1 and only m1 and only saving a little before second stage hooks and doing gens together if you have prove. Meanwhile, hoping thana, eruption, overcharge isn't being played this game. Such fun.

Waiting to hear what YOU think this game is about. Because so far I hear you just complaining that you dont like doing gens and you dont like perks. Maybe call of duty is for you.

I swear, the amount of people complaining, and once you pull back the curtain, it just sounds like they dont want to play dead by daylight (or what's more likely, they just love to complain and you'll never make them happy).

Gens have never been fun, and are in desperate need of change or a secondary object to give something else to do. This has been the case for years, and the update only exacerbated that. Not that you play the survivor role though, your posts are always crying about DH or some wrong survivors have slighted against you.

I've spent more time playing survivor than killer this patch for sure. I didn't like using DH (wasn't good at it) and now that it's gone I'm more competitive relative to others when using different exhaustion perks. But by all means, attack the man not the argument. Ad hominem is the lazy man's fallacy.

I don't mind gens at all. I see it as the dirty work that has to get done. Do you want it to be all chases all the time? Because that's where fools cry about tunneling. I swear there's no way to make survivors happy. I just played several games where survivors spent more time looking for chests or just refused to unhook. SoloQ is bad for two reasons, lack of info and just terrible, selfish, brain dead people who don't care about anyone else in the trial. Being selfish doesn't work in a team game. You can't tug off to your stats at the end of the game because you're all dead.

It's perfectly fair to attack the man who must be rather new to the game but wants to give opinions on a role he has not played much of, and on a perk that he couldn't even utilise admittedly. I'm glad you enjoy doing gens and find the gameplay loop interesting, most people who are new do, they also tend to enjoy stealth. Maybe you'd enjoy that too?

Solo Q is bad mostly due to teammates. Information would help but there are plenty of times, even when running KIndred, you will see other players walk all the way to hook and still be too scared to unhook before second stage. Similarly, if you're playing against a competent killer, it takes only one baby meg to drop any and all pallets during her chase with her beloved Windows for you to realise most of the resources on the map are gone. At that point, most people if they've noticed most of the resources are gone and only 1-2 gens have popped, they would rather die because your teammates don't pull their weight. But that's selfish and toxic I guess. I just don't like trying to give MMR to players who can't loop basic tiles and hold m1 outside of chase.
