Had such an awful night.
I'm really not enjoying the game right now, every game I've played tonight either I or one of my team has been tunnelled out of the game.
It feels like even if I sit on gens, go for saves, take chase and do everything right I'm being punished by poor game design to give the killer an easy kill.
Before this patch dbd was my favourite game, I don't want to quit and I don't want to go into every game thinking I'm going to lose.

I understand this game is like nicotine but you have to take up the courage to take a break and come back tommarow. Play some minecraft or Ark

Oh, I'm taking a break. I just don't know if I want to keep playing at all unless they do something about tunnelling, which sucks.

Same.. killers are playing x10 more scummy after last patch with hitting you on hook on top of all that. Trying to play killer takes forever, all my survivor games are terrible because of mass dc's and hook suicides.

Hopefully the DS stun time is reverted soon. Still scratching my head as to why it got nerfed so hard and why the devs thought it would be good for the game.

I think they thought 5s basekit BT would actually do something appreciable about tunneling. Which it really doesn't.

Same. I just stopped playing. Last time I logged in was Sunday morning and due to all the camping/tunneling at 5 gens- d/c's, hook-suicides etc I never escaped. It was abysmal. Now I'm stuck in low MMR Hell with true potato team mates (not their fault, they're new), but Idk if I have the strength and patience to crawl out of that pit when it's such a losing, uphill battle.
They've just taken out every conceivable way to escape this year unless you have a perfectly matched team. They trashed a lot of the aspects I found exciting /engaging (as a Solo survivor and no, I never used Dead Hard). They've completely discouraged altruism in end game (and at times, mid-game, AND with the entire SBMM system valuing escapes over everything regardless of how they happened) so that Solo Q really feels like every man for himself. It just sucks to realize that when I load into a match, I really have no hope of escape. I just think; "What kind of shite behaviour will ruin this match?".
It's too bad, because it's been my favourite game for 2 years, and I've never played PVP games much. Oh well. Maybe it will improve, or maybe it will be BHVR'd to death lol.

Here's some advice. Make literally one friend and the entire game is a million times better. This is not the only game where solo queue is a toilet. Is it that hard to make a friend, guy?

I have friends who play, but we aren't always available at the same time. Also, is it that hard to learn some manners?

Why is your avatar a little jail cell?

You could try playing a killer with a funny build that’s enjoyable.
Ive been playing Smolface which is a ghost face that can’t ever stand up unless you attack, perform action etc.
Most fun I’ve had in DBD.
This is entertaining, if I lose with this build I know it’s not my fault but I can have fun confusing the survivors.

Unfortunately a killer that wants to tunnel you can easily wait out the five second BT they KNOW you have. It's not enough time to make distance to a pallet or window unless you are lucky with where the hook is. Actual BT is strong because it is harder to wait out without making the tunnelled survivor that much harder to catch, and if you want to tunnel through their BT they get hit and make a good amount of distance that usually makes it not worth it to tunnel. The basekit version doesn't tick any of those boxes. It is very easy to play around and ensure that the tunnelled survivor cannot make any distance to make them not worth the tunnel. It only really makes a difference against facecamping killers and if there is a window/pallet very close to the hook. Otherwise it's useless.

I need to level my survivors so I appreciate the instant queues and the break from killer life.
Go for the points. Help the team and don't take it personal. You will have better games I am sure.

That's some awful 'advice'. Not to mention the post doesn't even mention solo queue. Being in a SWF doesn't make you immune from getting tunnelled out of the game.
2 -
Yeahhh you're not playing swf. My advice stands. Like it or not.
I solo q just fine though

Solo queue is a feature of the game and should be playable for anyone. The way things are right now, it needs some buffs. Solos are necessary for the game, someone has to top up your three stack, and so those players should have a good experience.
Glad you're having fun though sweetie, all the best.

What? Being in a SWF will not prevent you from getting tunnelled. Might make it harder for the killer to do so if your teammates are committed enough but ultimately the killer is going to get you if they are determined to whether you like it or not. And having your team pile around you trying to take hits means no one's doing gens, which means they're getting free pressure for nothing. And if it's a Nurse or Blight, forget it, you're not stopping them period.
The OP post: "I'm really not enjoying the game. Tunnelling is more prevalent than ever. I feel unrewarded for good chases and teamwork"
Your 'advice': "Just get friends lol why is it so difficult for you"
How is what you're saying relevant or helpful in any way?

Problem is that they ain't even addressing it yet so the game will remain this way for a long time looks like :/.

Even if I agree the stun reduction wasn't a good idea, it has been suggested DS should be used smartly. e.g. choosing a spot to get downed. A bit like getting downed next or under a pallet to get a save or at least make the killer wary he'll get stunned.
2 -
Because they got put into jail by a Mod. For what reason they can't say because that will also get you dinged by a Mod.
3 -
So one person gets the shaft while everyone else escapes. I forgot this is a 1v1 game, where you need a bunch of 2nd chance perks so you can be a "Hero" and stand up to the killer. Cause you know, that doesn't cause a balance problem when there are 4 "Heroes" against 1 Bad Guy.
I really don't understand why Survivors these days have such a problem with "Seeing the Forest For The Trees."

We shouldn't be pigeonholed into roles to be able to have a rewarding experience. Playing SQ is challenging, but can also be very rewarding. Some like overcoming the odds brought by the primitive coordination or just being matched with total strangers.

Some do. This person does not. Hence my advice.

There's nothing wrong with taking a break when you need to. Dead by Daylight is probably making a fair bit of money off of the AoT skins so the servers will still be here when you get back. Just maybe hop in every few days and get your dailies done so you'll have banked a LOT of BP for whenever you do return, okay?

Dinged by a Mod you say? I can't imagine why.
