Knock-out

Is there a non toxic purpose for this perk? Like I play both Survivor and Killer and this is a perk where the only reason I see to run it is if you are planning on trying to get everyone to bleed out to waste as much time of the survivors as possible (not as slowdown but to just have them bleed to death). Like its not even like Franklin's demise where you want to protect yourself from OP items or Blastmine where you want to get archives done or Repressed Alliance to protect a gen. I am just wondering the purpose of the perk?

It is also good for anyone who might have a build that needs a bit of slugging. But yeah, its another perk that hurts soloQ way, way more then SWFs on coms. On coms you can still direct your friends to you and tell them were to look for your sorry body, but soloQ survivors are really struck down, hard (pun, hehe).

Twins can get some good use out of it, as might some slugging Nurses, but I havn't used it much myself. Being on the receiving end though feels really ... interesting.

So I didn't think about the Twins. And I would totally agree... except that it only has the effect with basic attacks. So victor downing someone wont apply knockout which would be like the one non toxic use of this perk 😂

It definitely helps on some killers that rely more on a slugging play style. That said, it does feel annoying to get a killer that slugs with this especially in solo queue where there isn't really any counter.

Not sure why they thought this perk needed a buff, it hurts solo survivors more than it helps any killer. Also, the audio of the perk makes me feel a little sick.

I love the idea of it but yeah, it's just toxic and only exists to punish solos basically.

Its good for power burst killers. On killers like Mikey and Oni, it can be more efficient to down multiple people in one use of your power and THEN hook them, as opposed to hooking after every down. Can also be useful for snowballing.

Leaving everyone to bleed out on the floor falls on the jerk using the perk, not the perk itself. Now if the killer has a slugging build, then the perk comes in super handy vs. solos. The best sluggers don’t use it though, because it’s not effective against SWF’s who call out locations and has usually at least one person running Unbreakable. Just chalk it up to one of those things that has a purpose but can be used by ppl to help their toxicity. It’s design is not to encourage it. The few times I see it, the killer usually picks everyone up afterwards. Once in a while you will get that ahole who leaves every1 on the floor. Yea, F that guy.

    Slugging isn't toxic, so yes.

If there is a reason like there is another survivor nearby but slugging to slug is toxic.

The only time I can think of when slugging is actually toxic might be if you've got all the remaining survivors dying on the ground and you can obviously hook them to end the game but you don't simply because you want to drag it out a few more minutes for no particular reason. If you do that you're a jerk, I agree.

But aside from that corner case there's nothing unsportsmanlike or toxic whatever about slugging.

My favorite perk to run. It's great for slowdown against non-comm teams and provide a minimum time of incapacitation vs hooks. This let's me focus on chases and gen defense while also forcing survivors to search for those teammates.

I don't run it for "toxic" bleedout, but if anyone dies its a result of poor altruism and failing to escape multiple chases.

I've been using it as hag lately to immediately make it a temporary 3v1 so I can buy more time setting traps. Sucks to be that one survivor, but in no way was my intention to be toxic.
