I”m officially calling it.
It’s dead. This is the one that broke DBD. I have played this game like a 2nd job. I have 3 accounts and around 9k hours.
- Legions (and Plague) everywhere running 3-4 anti-gen / slowdown perks
- Nurse and Blight still broken and still in high rotation
- Camp Bubba still a thing amazingly
- Camping / Tunnelling at a seeming all time high due to nerfs to DS and DH and ineffective base kit BT
- Franklins seems to also be more popular since healing items are now more common
- Teammates giving up at record levels (including me) because of all the above
I’m still playing atm, hoping for that occasional game that isn’t awful. But this is new levels of broken. They can fix this, but if not in the next day or two, I’m done til they do something.

You know you could still run regular BT, it even got a buff in this patch.

The problem is that my wonderful solo queue teammates seem to think that 5 seconds is plenty when it absolutely is not, and BT doesn't apply to myself.
Honestly Off The Record is the only thing that's saving my solo experience right now.

Mandy already just confirmed they're taking their time and there's no indication what they'd do anyway.
You're better off taking your break now, because two days ain't gonna be it.

What we were promised: Baseline game changes to reduce camping and tunneling.
What we got: Play in a group or die.

Nurse is ######### bullshit. No one likes to play against nurse in Solo queue especially. Remove Nurse so the other killers can get a buff. The only thing holding them back is Nurse existing.,

Groups are dying as well, unless maybe skilled 4-men swfs. It's more "have 5k+ hours on the game and a group, or die."

It's not dead unless they leave it like that for months, it's fine if they revert either generators to 80s or the speed boost/attack cooldown/bloodlust buffs, one of these is ok both are too much, and revert DS too

If It's Nurse, Legion, or Plague I just throw myself at them and move on. Not playing games against killers with 30 slowdowns just so they can have fun stomping a solo queue team.

That's it. That seals the deal. I am no longer a Dead by Daylight fan. I’ve been a fan since 1982 and a season ticket holder since 1996. I officially will not be renewing my plan next season nor will I play on PC ever again. Cote is officially the worst game director in history.

Why ? they keep either the chase buffs or longer gens it's not hard, I win most of my games with no slowdowns or just deadlock

That sucks Scott, but I'm in total agreement with you. There should be some emergency developer meetings going on right now trying to get a patch in place for solo-queue by next Tuesday.

I don't have a problem with Blight ngl I think he can be fun to go against even if he is busted.
I genuinely haven't seen Pyramid Head or Spirit much if at all since the update. But I haven't been playing much.

Yeah I'm out. Until they make SoloQ fun again there's no reason to play this game anymore.
Hardly a mystery why killer queues are so long when survivors are leaving in droves.

lol. hey man, your prerogative to not care, ignore, whatever. But forums are kinda here to express our thoughts about the game and I think I'm pretty on point. I've been playing consistently every day post-update. The frequency of the games I mentioned are only increasing and I see how my teammates are reacting. And hey, I didn't even mention how matchmaking has been worse. Is it because so many higher MMR survivors are taking a break or leaving? Switching to killer? Who knows but add it all up... this is the worst dbd experience in years and my opinion is based on tons of experience. take it or leave it...

besides the whine I really think nobody should run BT and everybody should run OtR, there is noreason not to.(unless ur swf and you can safely run 2+ BS/coordinate)

Remove exhaustion so survs can use 4 exhaustion perks together. You’ll see variety also

This rising mentality right here is the sole killer of soloque. As long as survivors have the ability to control the life and death of a match soloque will forever be dead.

Please can someone give me ONE good reason as to why I, a solo queue player, should sweat my absolute ass off in a game just so we can all get 4k'd at 4 gens left because the killer ran 4 slow downs??
Nobody ever gives me a valid reason.

I'm flattered, really. But I think the fact that killers got buffed to perform better against SWFs while solo queue got zero buffs or quality of life updates is the reason solo queue is dead.
But no, the problem lies with the players for wanting to enjoy the game and totally not on BHVR for neglecting the majority of the players who play solo queue lol. Y'all are so unserious.
"B-b-b-b-b-b-but what about your team??" And what about them? Idk those people. I'm doing them a favor. The sooner we get out of slowdown city, the sooner we can all move on to another match.

I actually like versing Nurse, as most Nurse players aren't half as good as they need to be in order to be considered a god-nurse.
Hold W against a Nurse, once you hear her charge you double back and run into her to have her charge by. Do this another time and then, when she charges you a third time, hold W in earnest and just bolt for it. From then on I am behaving as random as possible, turning every blink into a 50/50 mind game. It obviously doesn't work every time, but if it works you make the nurse look like a fool. Had a Nurse with full Starstruck loadouts chase me all around the farm today, while my team mates finished two and a half gen. I went down eventually, but by then the nurse got only a little more then 2 gens time left and only a single hook to her name.

That's nowhere near the same thing as what I'm talking about. Nurse and Blight are still the only tourney viable killers, Leatherface cheeses kills but only by camping, and that's all normal. But now we have Legion and Plague, 2 very loopable killers, who can almost compete because they slow the game down with Thana, which any killer can do but it's just easier for them. I don't see the problem with 2 or 3 more killers becoming viable. Now you don't have to complain about Nurse and Blight all the time. Isn't this what we wanted?

They're only too much because most survivors don't know how to play. High mmr survivors still escape most of the time and only nurse and blight are problem for them. Nurse should be nerfed but other killers just no. Blight add ons only needs to be looked at. Tunneling and camping is the real problem that is were the buffs help. I would make ds basekit with 3s stun and no skill check. Ds perk would make the stun back to 5s. Well I think basekit bt is fine with 5s as you can always bring otr and both otr and ds should work in endgame in my opinion. SoloQ also should have basekit kindred. But with these changes I think killers need more buffs and for starters basekit corrupt and BBQ would be good.

We already know they're not going to make DS basekit, it should go back to 5 seconds without skillcheck, no one will cry about tunneling if they do that. I agree about nurse and for facecamp they can just delete hookgrabs it's useless, without grabs survivors can force a trade it's way better

Well in that case, those "alienated" players are children who just hate losing, and are not the people devs should ever try to cater the game to. I play exclusively solo Q when I play surv, and while I die a bunch of times, resorting to cheating is the lowest thing anyone can do in any PVP game.

this is 100% my view.
look at the facts:
Solo queue is far worse now than it was before. It was already the weakest way to play the game and it got worse.
The strongest killers in the game like nurse and blight got far stronger.
Annoying killers like legion and plague got far more annoying.
Build diversity for survivor was lost and there's a lot of confusion on what to actually bring. Do you bring Off the Record because no one brings Borrowed Time, or do you bring Borrowed Time to help your team and yet get screwed the moment the killer decides to tunnel you off hook?
Perks that were perfectly fine like self-care and spinechill were hard nerfed because the devs stated they saw survivors having a "slight edge" in performance when using them at high ranks. Like, what?
The game feels like it took a huge step back and it's simply not worth playing anymore which is a shame because I love this game.

I threw the towel away. They nerfed MOST of the decent survivor perks, and worst of all they nerfed my must have perk spine chill. Yet they nerfed some killer perks, but they buffed the slowdown perks. They turned tunneling and camping into valid gameplay "tactics". Yet for the most part they mostly nerfed solo Q, because decent SWFS squads are still rolling in the mud, they hardly get affected. It's the average solo survivor who got hit the hardest. They wanted to appease the one siders, who where not happy that they where not getting 4 sacrifices in 99% of their matches. But I haven't played for over a month and definitely not planning on returning after seeing this debacle unfold, because I don't really enjoy playing the killer role. So for those who are playing solo Q, enjoy and have fun.

Reverting any of these will bring back problems.
Get rid of chase buffs, slow down/regression remains meta
Revert gens to 80% and swf remains the same problem along with gens being too fast.
Since Enduring got nerfed, the DS nerf is justified because the 5s stun was because of Enduring back when it effected all stuns.
What BHVR truly should have did with this update was gut regression/slowdown.
