legion with thana drives me to insanity
I am getting tired of EVERY DAMN LEGION running thana and same with plague. 100+(pretty sure someone said it was 120) seconds on a gen is NOT balanced nor is healing yourself because it wastes MORE time and then to top that of you cant stay healthy anyways!!!! its stupid and i tried killing myself and he just nodded and let my teammate save me and then would refuse to hook me until i DC. the state of the game sucks. killers literally bring all gen slowdown like they need it when they dont. people just camp and tunnel like crazy, people just die instantly like crazy and the amount of nurses as well is getting ridiculous. it is extremely hard to play this game as a survivor now. Yeah i tried to kill myself on hook so what, some games you shouldnt have to deal with. people complain about it but dont realize that playing against thje same killers and builds are what make people do that, its not because they suck or becauise the killers OP its because i see my teammate self caring against a thana legion in a dang basement and have a teammate being chased around my hook. if its my fault for wanting to leave and get a better match then this game needs some serious reworking

I can't speak for anyone else but I was playing Backpack Legion last night. (Agitation, Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, Star Struck). 🙂
2 -
Wow!
That's like the Nurse we faced last night except she had Starstruck, Lethal, Agitation and Deadlock with Double Range and a Midwich Offering!
9 -
well that is fun, but why is it that at my mmr i only find sweats. i legit miss pre patch, i just want to have fun on my favorite game, but i cant. I cant escape because all my team just effs off in the corner now and the killers feel the need to run complete slowdown
2 -
those dont exist tho and easy to counter just run away outside the terror radius(jokes)

If you are healing vs legion and doing gens solo you kind of deserve what you got. That's not how you play vs slowdown legion.
Should bhvr nerf everything else you don't understand too?
4 -
Gens take far too long with slowdown Legion for it to be remotely fun.
Way to be condescending instead of helpful.
20 -
Gens aren't fun no matter who you're playing. I'm sorry but how was I supposed to be helpful? It's a stupid whine about a perfectly valid playstyle and tactic and my response reflected my feelings on the matter. You aren't looking for help, you just want validation.
1 -
Suggest tips, offer sympathy, anything other than "You get what you deserve for not understanding."
We aren't going to get anywhere, I'm not going to respond further.

i dont heal and also spreading out doing gens is always more efficent, dont call me stupid if you think doing gens as a team is more efficient XD

Against thana legion two people with prove is how its done. And OP was talking about healing. Derpp!
0 -
i didnt heal

hell yeah, because unlike others i like to criticize all the time. ill speak my mind and idc if it makes me seem like trash. this game and community has issues so ill call them out
0 -
oh. my bad, im used to people complaining about me because of my criticism XD
3 -
"Killers trying to kill me isn't fun!"
In other news, water is wet.
2 -
Bingo
0 -
Lolllll
Exactly. They don't wanna do gens, they don't wanna get tunneled. I think the only thing they wanna do is tbag at the exit gates
3 -
yeah sure... say that to every solo player and see what they say

So Legion and Plague are tournament viable or what?
1 -
If this is a recurring thing every game and its affecting you this badly, then take a break from the game. You can't control what killers you get or what perks they're carrying. You can only control your own actions.
I don't think you'll find many people outside of Legion mains who like Legion-Thana games. But if you make the choice to play then just pull your weight as best you can and play. I hate Deathslinger with a passion and groan out loud every time I hear him when I spawn in. But I committed to playing when I pressed Ready. If you are frequently letting go on hook or DCing then maybe you just need a break?
1 -
as if that matters XD, tourney are just sweatfests that are a waste of time. balancing by tourney level is ridiculous
0 -
yeah maybe youre right, its not too frequent but yesterday was definitely a bad draw

"killers literally bring all gen slowdown like they need it when they dont."
Where do you get the idea that killers don't need slowdowns anymore...
1 -
I have banned thana from my Legion builds so there are some of us who are cool
2 -
simple, buff to killer basekit and gen buff. so if you still need to stack slowdown you only go against bully squads(impossible) or you arent very good but have high mmr.
0 -
Thank you! Thana on Legion is torture.
0 -
115 seconds at 4 stacks.
0 -
ok thanks so i was 5 sec off

This made me think of what was imo the quintessential slowdown Legion game I played in the other night; 5 total hooks, all four of us escaped, clocking in at just under 14 minutes.
Legion still sucks, you'll usually escape, but you won't have any fun doing it. Not hard, just tedious af.
2 -
What I suddenly want to do, play Legion without Thanatophobia and change my steam name to "Orange You Glad I Didn't Equip Thana"
Can't decide whether or not I should use a whole other pain in the ass Legion build in its place or of that'd just be mean
1 -
How are they a waste of time? Why can't we balance off what is seen in tourneys?
0 -
The problem is that much like with Doctor and the old 3 gen scenario he can hold the game hostage. All he has to do is try not to lose and eventually someone will make a mistake.
This sucks so much to play against that one of my friends was happy when they died in the legion game that lasted over 30 minutes.

Killers: boy, I wish survivors would run more variety of perks instead of the same builds.
Those same killers: let's play legion with thanataphobia, scourge pain resonance, call of brine and eruption!
Yeah, apologies to my teammates, but as soon as I find out the killer is a legion with thanataphobia, I'm hopping in a locker and unhooking myself to death. I'd actually recommend all survivors do this. Queue times are short for us. They'll be spending 10 minutes or more in queue just to have the game over in 5 minutes. Hope they enjoy it.
1 -
idk maybe because the top tier killers are viable in tourneys at the highsest level, and if we balance off that the refular players suffer because they cant compete, we would have to force those survivors to be as good as tourney teams and make every killer as strong as nurse and blight. although an equal game would be nice, to make everything fair and even we would have to make every survivor play with comms and as much skill as the best players. IMPOSSIBLE, and every killer would need buffs, which would be extremely hard without just breaking their power. and that would mean chase wouldnt exist and gen rush would be the game. there is a reason that nobody wants tourney dbd to exist or be the basis
0 -
yeah i mean i was running sprint burst adren and hope and resilience. but i do agree before patch surv builds were pretty meta at high mmr. but its weird how the survivor meta isnt really all that anymore but killer meta is the same but even stronger
0 -
It would be fine if we balanced around tourneys, for high MMR players. The casual players do not concern us. They will lose to nerfed or unnerfed Pinhead, and they will lose to nerfed or unnerfed Deathslinger. Just because a killer gets buffed for top level balance doesn't mean the people using them at the bottom or mid level will suddenly get a higher kill rate with them, because they're not experienced enough to play with that character's max potential, just like the survivors they face aren't playing their best.
The problem with solos isn't their lack of communication via comms, but the matchmaking system. You can chalk up a few losses to solos having differing strategies to how to beat a certain killer, but that's not where most of their losses come from. Most of their losses come from their teammates acting like they've got 20 hours in the game, or refusing to run meta when their killer counterparts are running meta. If you can fix the matchmaking system to match the killer with 4 good solo survivors, not 2 good ones and 2 bad ones, then they will operate at an almost SWF level of efficiency and they will beat that killer. I've seen it happen.
Just want to reiterate that in these tourneys, the survivors are handicapped. So even if balancing off tourney level is the best way to balance the game, we would still have work to do after we made it to that point, because survivors would still have skewed death rates.

no I dont agree. nurse is really easy, although i have watched tutorials and tried her on console, meaning i have a bit more knowledge and skill with her than a beginner.... on pc nurse is quite easy to pick up and do good with. if we buffed huntress to tourney level by raising her speed to 4.6 and giving her 7 hatchets base. she would be op at the beginner and intermediate. beginners will miss but with a little practice she can easily destroy and camp and tunnel. she is faster and would have map pressure which a tourney style game needs. but the thing is 4 good solo survivor will still not be able to coordinate and without coordination these great swfs wouldnt be tourney level.
if we can perfect matchmaking... impossible btw, then we could look into what you say. but the reality is with all the content creators out there anyone who wants to learn will. back 2 years ago even 1, brown ranks and yellows thought killer were overpowered becaus eteammates would hide in corners and crap and didnt know looping and during green ranks the survs wanted to do gens and learned to loop minimally and some killers learned to loop and contended just fine, except against swf. but the best players were purple or red ranks and the killers suffered because loops are easy and gens were fast and swfs were even worse, but the killers that learned loops and didngt waste time thrived.
if we buff every killer to compete with nurse they wont NEED to practice alot, and the survivors will and then survivors will be hating the game more and quitting more and then deathgarden again
1 -
Dw just break los and you'll be fine
Hopefully...
0 -
nah it for sure works. i mean if you just keep running they definitely wont notice the pattern
0 -
thana is fine, but I think the fact that it can be stacked on other slowdown (pentimento, gift of pain, plaything) on top of killers designed to injure all the time is just super powerful. I like running thana on wraith tho.
1 -
If killers are op at the beginner and mid levels, then the people who are playing them will 1) get up in MMR and get bullied by actual good survivors and 2) they'll move up from low and mid MMR. They don't just stay down there in their OPness, slaughtering the survivors. They move up, and then they are the ones getting slaughtered IF the killer is just op and it's not them actually being skilled with the killer. People don't win with Nurse or Blight unless they know how to play them. Same thing with every other killer, except with every other killer, they physically don't have the tools to beat certain teams no matter how well they play.
0 -
and if you give them those tools you make them as strong as nurse and it doesnt matter if they go into high mmr because then no killers would exist at low mmr. its not hard to get better and if the killers are all as strong as nurse and mind you different killers have different difficulties then its safe to say that those killers would be put in higher mmr at the start and not even know what to do against good players and theyd suffer soley on the devs bad decision to make the game that way, until they learned how to play and then its a challenge for those killers like every tournament. but regardless it will break the game unless all the low mmr SURVIVORS get good. killer is so easy to get high mmr and survivor is not
