After 2 days off Dbd, I played survivor solo q today and...
1st game: a teammate got tunneled, 3 hooks back to back, died with 4 gens left. We all died with 4 gens left.
2nd game: a teammate got tunneled, 3 hooks back to back, died with 4 gens left. Me and another survivor got tunneled next. 1 survivor and 3 gens left. Didn't see if they got the hatch because my game crashed whilst spectating.
3rd game: I got tunneled with 4 gens left. Everybody else died with 2 gens left.
4th game: I got basement and the killer camped, it was a hook trade disaster. 4k with 4 gens left.
I am back playing this when the new tome page opens (which I don't even know lol)

The Devs said it's intended for killers to win more! Get use to survivor being harder and killer being easier!
2 -
Nobody cares... ######### on hook and let your teammates get hatch.. thats the new meta apparently.

Basement has become an inevitable death this patch, if no one on your team runs baseline BT. Smart killers just body block you and count to 6, if you aren't running OTR and don't have BT, you die. If you get hooked in basement in the endgame now, gg, get a better gaming chair.

So run OTR

This is literally me I keep quitting for a couple days, coming back and then it's just terrible round one after another getting tunnelled, DC's, always a 4k and then I just quit again for a couple days but my breaks keep getting longer I think ima just stop playing now with the other 30% this month it's really not enjoyable after the update... :(

What's your (Their) definition of a "Win" for killer (1,2,3,4k) ?
Also can you give us a source for such statement and the context it was part of :)

I think your group probably isn’t very good then. I’m escaping as a solo lol
3 -
me too, im solo and this never happens to me
3 -
Don’t get me wrong, im not saying that I dominate and escape every time. Weak teammates have always been the problem with solo, and of course I make mistakes. I don’t think the devs can do much about bad teammates though.
1 -
I guess you're playing against bad Killers then.
See how this doesn't get us anywhere?

Well according to this forum, it is literally impossible to escape, killer is baby mode, and anyone can 4k. Also thana (which adds like a max of 20 seconds to a match) needs to be killswitched. Clearly that’s not true if me and others can solo escape.
3 -
Thats the problem. Isnt the meta supposed to end? Or it was just supposed to change? If everybody runs Off the record than thats the new meta. The currently survivor "meta" is a joke and the killer is stronger than before
1 -
Likewise, according to the Forums, Killer is still too hard, DH is still too good and OTR is OP.
Your point is that the Forums are full of extreme viewpoints? I definitely agree with that.
4 -
I think tunneling is somewhat connected to the fact that killers can see your prestige level in the lobby. People might use that to decide who to tunnel out of the match. The prestige information should only appear in the results screen.

You might want to get a refund on your math education.
Four stacks on Thana adds ~26 seconds to each gen, not taking into account the three other slowdown perks that every killer is using.
Meta shakeup my balls. Survivor has become a tedious slog.
5 -
Where are you people finding these nonstop tunnelers?
I played five games last night, and I was tunneled ONCE.
ONCE.

Are you not seeing the same front page I am? The topics on this forum are overwhelmingly survivors complaining. That’s not to mention Reddit, in which posts that are crying about the patch have hundreds of upvotes, while anyone even suggesting that things are fine is immediately downvoted into oblivion.

And shouldn't it tell you something?
If THAT many people are having that many issues, there's a problem.
3 -
You can have them.
Take the facecampers too.
2 -
i still havent been tunneled or camped ever since the patch. people complaining probably run right into the killer then say they got tunneled when they die
0 -
Yes, it tells me what I’ve already know: most players are survivor biased
0 -
This.
I am 90% convinced people think "tunnelling" is when the same person gets hooked three times.
Listen people, you are not being tunnelled if I hook you, and then you get off the hook, and then I chase your savior, wound them, and then I stop to kick a gen, and then turn around and THERE YOU ARE AGAIN.

So thousands of people say, "Hey, we aren't having fun and our experience has been pretty poor" and you say, "I'm right, you're just a Survivor main."
Yeah, not really interested in talking to someone who thinks like that. I'm out.
1 -
and camping is not when the killer is at the hook when its being swarmed
1 -
If the killer goes back to hook as soon as the survivor is saved and chases the recently hooked survivor, thats tunneling
0 -
How is 1 person getting tunneled out then you lose = 1 gen done? The amount of time you need to commit to tunneling someone out usually leaves the killer with 2 or 3 gens left and if the survivor is good maybe 1 gen left.
My bet is that your team or you are throwing. Except for high pressure plays ie slug into another chase, at high mmr i expect to trade my first hook for 2 gens. If survivors are playing optimally then its worse.
The best advice I can give if you are actually looking for advice and not whining because you aren't being handed an escape is this.
Learn to run the killer. Get good at it. Make it your goal when you play and not escaping. There are some perks that can help you learn this like Windows of Opportunity. Once you are good at running the killer you face 2 scenarios in soloq. If you were good at running the killer then a good killer wont take the chase and then you must do gens or take agro for worse teammates. If the killer isnt that smart then run them long enough for your team to do the gens.
Its really all you can do. Soloq needs some help and tunneling/camping is without a doubt an issue. But not a 4k at 4 gens every game issue. Thats throwing.
Edit: I play solo with me escaping about 60% of the time it feels. Just a guess but this patch isnt as bad as some make it out to be imo.

Where did they say that they were running back into the killer?
I re-read his post and it doesn't say what you are saying.

So because a lot of people say something, it’s right? I can think of MANY examples of that being horrifically wrong. And this all circles back to the fact that i’m not having as much trouble as everyone else. I have been playing majority survivor the last few days and I do well. I’m not the only one, but obviously the whiners will be louder
0 -
im just giving a possible example as to why they say they are being tunneled so much.
0 -
Yes, 1 gen done. Is that too impossible to happen? Of course not.
1 -
Not impossible but that many games in a row? You have 4 survivors. 1 occupies the killer while the other 3 should be on gens. Assuming that one is most likely doing a challenge then you have 2 on gens. So your team should be finishing more then 1 gen. It tells me that you guys are feeding into the strategy or throwing. Also kindred will help a lot too. I find that a lot of people are dcing or throwing but so long as I have 1 other competent teammate then we at least get a few gens done. Hopefully some soloq help is on the way
0 -
Yeah, it should be simple but this is solo q. I have no idea what my teammates are doing almost all the time. There is no way for me to know if they were actually playing or throwing, and I have to give the benefit of the doubt.

I feel your pain haha. Bond might help too. Just trying to help. gl out there

1st Game - Sounds more like a teammate issue more so than a killer issue. One person got tunneled 3 times and you guys couldn't do more than 1 gen?
2nd Game - Same thing
3rd Game - No idea
4th Game - Teammate issue. He camped you, plus chase, plus going to basement. Let us say 150 seconds low end, if you could loop a killer for at least 30 seconds. If all 3 teammates did gens while he camped you, they could of easily gotten at least 3 gens done. It is unfortunate but that is how you punish campers.
If you say, well that is rare to have a little bit of coordination in solo q. Well, that just proofs this is a teammate issue and you should be asking for buffs to solo q.

He didnt say Killers are OP.
1 -
I've said this countless times already, but I don't understand why they thought these changes were ok. Did they really think killers were gonna play nice by giving them a ton of buffs and making gens take longer to complete?
It seriously baffles me. They even put solo changes on the backburner (unless this has changed). DS was nerfed as well. Make it make sense.
3 -
He implied that all of the crying about killers being too good is justified.

Remember most people here are younger and probably plays in the morning, day time. And teens young adults don't give a F about people fun and play to win.
At night older people play who have some empathy and at least try to make everyone have some fun.
I play both times because of my job and morning gameplay is WAYY different than night gameplay.

Hmm. That is an interesting theory. I personally tend to play between 7PM and 10PM with friends and 1AM to 5AM when soloing. I generally do not play during the day as I sleep at that time.

Congrats! You can play solo with the devs to help the killer queue time
