It's a game where YOU are the protagonist, because it's first person. Every character in the game is talking to YOU.
It's like the type of games where they ask "Create your name".
My name is: "CabbageHead"
Then in a first person POV, every character on screen goes; "Hey Cabbage Head! Have you heard about the haunted house in the forest?".
