DBD have been overtaken by hackers
Since 6.1 the game is full of hackers, something needs to be done.
I see no other solution than I will give up playing this until i hear that it is fixed.

Just saw Hexy and D3ad get taken hostage by different hackers at the same time...
Streamers are getting targeted specifically and can seemingly self insert into specific lobbies to target

I don't justify hacking but some streamers really make an effort to be disliked by people.
Either way, yesterday I played a demogorgon that went invisible BUT you could still see it's red stain... IDK what it was though haha

Yup, Hexy had 6 hackers yesterday, has had multiple again today was held hostage yesterday and today - you're forced to continuously DC and increase your DC penalty or sit in the same game for hours until the server ends or the hacker DCs. It's crazy how big of an issue hacking in DBD has been and for such a long time too

This is a bad look for DbD. Almost 4k people watching hexy running around a map right now forced to do nothing or eat a 1 hr penalty because it keeps happening

Idk why they haven't just kill switched the dc penalties. They've done it before and people could just leave the hacked lobbies...
Sure some would abuse it but for now it's needed.

Streamers have been getting targeted by hackers for a long time. It was happening to Tru3 as far back as Nov '21 if I'm recalling correctly. Now they're targeting other streamers because I guess they got bored with him.

D3ad doesn't even play with his name displayed and blocks survs at the camp screen with a graphic and still he's being raked over the coals. Freaking sucks.

We had a dry spell for a bit there, but yeah, now I'm getting at least couple every night I play.

Hackers have come into stream chats and have straight up said that 6.1.0 made it easier for them to target streamers. I didn't get the details but it certainly seems to be true. Hackers know DbD's code better than the devs do.

Using some cheating program doesn't make one a hacker.
They are cheating parasites, nothing more.

Yeah it's been pretty ridiculous. Can barely even play the game anymore. Should probably killswitch DC penalties for now until it dies down.

Removal of the DC penalty will just bring another problem.
I think it would be better to do something about the cause and :
- Make a simpler way to report cheaters, the current one is ridiculous to put it mildly.
- Get a better Anti-cheat solution, i think its clear to everyone that the current one is as good as none.

It shouldn't be hard to block specific mechanics in a game at the server side and ban for cheating.
Why can you hook yourself or fly way up in the air? Why not auto ban anyone who self heals in less than 3 seconds? These things are easily detectable.
