Survivor Lobby Cheat again? What the hell is going on?
yo,
I'm really confused. The survivor was able to predict what kind of killer he would be playing against (was a console player), just like back then, and then left the lobby. It was indeed a nurse....
what do you say?

50% of my games is nurse currently. So if it was any other killer I would be suspicious, this is just expectation come true

I'm not so sure about that, because that's the second time it's happened today.

Nah this guy is probably cheating, idk why but this patch there are a lot more cheaters, i found one of this guy too and in lobby he wrote "bring a flashlight, it is the hag" i asked him how did he know that and he answered just "trust". The killer was the hag for real and i reported that guy.

Could be. 🤷♂️ The cheat programs are pretty ridiculous.

I've seen far more hackers after 6.1.0 than before and it just becomes super stupid and unfun and pointless to even try when someone can instantly hack during the match.

You mean a PC player pretending to be a console player.
I'm not saying console can hack, but it's not as easy as it is on PC.

Epic Store players are also shown as console players (crossplayers)

Windows Store too.

yep

And if he was hacking he is on pc. On console no-one hacks and we can't talk in chat.

I am wondering if BHVR has been scammed by EAC at this point.

This morning I was playing DBD and I did something similar, in lobby I did write that I have feeling it ll be nurse again. Well since I keep playing often against nurses or blights tho. Also I dont know why, usually first game I m playing survivor is against nurse lol, but maybe its just my feeling. Yesterday I didnt see single legion but 5 nurses so ...

so basically they start a game and in each lobby they just randomly say "it's a nurse. bye" and dodge it? I'm not sure about that. They obviously knew it.

It could simply be someone sniping a streamer they don't want to play against (if it was a streamer, of course).
I know a few people who do this.

I've seen more hackers this patch than I have in the years I've had the game. I'm lucky that its' been survivors hacking while I'm a survivor....but they still ruined my match and also stopped me from getting my challenge, so I was still salty about it.
Though being fair if you're a high mmr survivor atm you're going to be seeing a lot of nurses. This guy might have just seen so many he got tilted and said that and quit. I play console and you can do hacks on it but it's usually expensive and not worth the effort. Every hacker I've ever seen has been pc.

For all we know, they did it only once. But yea they can be cheating, not saying they cant

maybe he just said it with out knowing, and it turned out to be true?

He might have been an Epic Games player, which will look like a console player to someone on Steam. AFAIK, the killer you're about to face is encoded in a plaintext file somewhere in the game folder on PC (haven't checked it out myself, so I couldn't tell you which one), so a cheat program might not have been needed.
I don't think you can get banned for that. It's literally in a text file somewhere, according to the people on Reddit.
The official rules ban using software that can give you an advantage, so unless he was using it with a cheat program, it probably won't get him into trouble.
This is not a hack.
You don't need one to predict the killer.

Wait, it wasn't Reddit where I read that from. It was here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/151828/is-it-possible-to-know-the-killer-before-the-match-starts

Its information that is not supposed to be available to users, regardless of where it comes from. It was a problem for a while after the dedicated servers switch, seemed like every doctor was suddenly going up against 4 calm spirits and other similar suspiciously organized counterpicks.

That... seems to be extremely stupid and something BHVR should seriously fix asap.
It's like a square res.

The text file you’re talking about was encrypted years ago specifically so people couldn’t easily tell who the killer is. If the person 100% knew who the killer was it was a hack.
