As a Plunderer Ace, what would you use as your fourth perk?

So I’ve been playing slightly more survivor for the hell of it using my favorite build - Plunderer Ace

Plunderer’s Instinct - see chest auras and get rarer items out of them

Ace in the Hole - when you get an item from a chest it comes with a nice add on

Open Handed - Extends aura ranges for all survivors, including Plunderer’s Instinct above

(fill in the blank)

I’ve been vacillating between various generic perks for that fourth slot. (I have no teachables unlocked at all on survivor from any other characters and don’t like Ace’s third perk which just increases Luck). Sometimes I’ll use Deja Vu to show me a key generator to focus on early, other times I use the perk that lets you walk 20% faster and see your scratches to be a little stealthier, and sometimes I’ll use the perk that doubles your healing speed after you unhook someone (since it kind of works well in particular when I grab a medkit from a chest.)

Out of curiosity, if you played this gimmick, which perk would you use in the fourth slot? Generic or otherwise.

Kindred, to make use of Open Handed's aura reading.

Or Off the Record, because it's always a great go to.

I used to love chest builds along time ago when keys were better cuz it felt like I always had a plan B if things went south. Back then it was open handed /Plunderer/Pharmacy/Ace in the Hole but now?

I'd probably try something like Plunderer/Appraisal/Clairvoyance/Distortion if you're playing for keys (your teammates won't like you much tho) or Built to last/Ace in the hole/plunderer/appraisal if going for any other type of item and once you get something good you can just keep reusing it.

Appraisal, you can rummage through chests an additional 3 times to find a better item. Although it's an Elodie teachable which you don't have, it seems.

    How about Appraisal?

You can double the amount of items you can pull with it, so you have a better variety of items to choose your favourite one out of.

Personally I’m not interested enough in survivor to bother unlocking a bunch of teachable perks like Appraisal, Clairvoyance and Distortion. That’s why I’m sticking to generics for the fourth slot.

Yeah, if I was interested in unlocking teachable perks I’d maybe grab Rummage. I don’t play survivor enough to bother though.

    I feel that one lmao

Maybe grab it once it enters the shrine? Ever since they buffed it to instantly unlock on your characters that might be a viable option?

For sure, I’ll be keeping an eye out probably. 🙂 The other teachable perk I thought about was the one that can recharge your item in a locker.

Someone else mentioned Kindred above as a good generic perk whose aura is augmented and I have also considered using that too.

(It’s too bad there’s no perk that gives you a new tool box on a rummage like there are for medkits and flashlights. But then again that’s probably intentional.)

Plundrers instinct is a bad perk, it increases the chance of getting keys and maps, and decreases the chance of getting a medkit, Ace in the hole also allows you to keep the addons on items if you escape, it pairs really well with apprasial as other's have mentioned, would defintly consider saving shards for Elodie at some point.

Oh yeah, Built to Last is a really interesting one too! Though I would say it is most usefull when you bring a strong item in with you that you know you'll want to recharge a couple of times. Relying on RNG there might not be the best call.

Kindred though... oh boy I can tell you one thing: it is extremely addicting! I use this Perk religiously and having a reverse BBQ effect on the Killer is just so, SO good when you want to avoid contact! Honestly, pick it once and you'll probaply never want to let it go again (at least thats my experience with it) xD

I’m ok with getting a key or map honestly even though they’re not as good. 🤷‍♂️ I’m not using the perk because I think it’s “good”. 😉

Definitely Appraisal. Let's you plunder even more stuff.

I used to love running Pharmacy, Plunder and Ace in the Hole and an exhaustion (usually old Dead Hard) and I racked up quite a collection of green med-kits on my Jeff. Pharmacy got hard nerfed so it has to go.

I think Plunder, Appraisal, Ace in the Hole and Sprint Burst will be my go to if I plunder.
