Last Minute items
I was wondering how y'all feel when Survivors take an item (usually a flashlight) near the end of the timer in the Load out screen. I see it happen often. Shady or not?

I usually don't mind because survivors with flashlights are expected to waste most of their time chasing the killer and I usually bait them out and get free hits.

It’s more so to prevent the Killer from bringing Franklins or Lightborn. I myself use Residual Manifest :)

I watch for them in every single lobby. Bully groups will wait till 5 seconds before the game starts to bring 4 flashlights(or atleast 2 and 2 toolboxes)

I play meaner when they do that. It's douchey. But the full team toolbox switches scare me more than the flashlight switches - with the flashlights, you know they're just going to chase you around clicking all game and gens are going to be slow. When it's a last second toolbox squad, you know they're going in hard.

Ahhh! I didn’t even think about Franklins. That’s actually not a bad idea lol

I never even thought of the toolbox. Is that so they can keep sabotaging hooks?

I personally don’t care what they have on the loading screen so the only thing that annoys me is how survivors that do this make everybody wait the full minute in the lobby for no particular reason.

Sometimes you get a sabo squad out of the 4-box games and it's the Actual Worst, but more often it's 4 fat toolboxes with some combination of BNP/wire spool/socket swivels and they hammer out gens lightning fast.

Decent chance I just DC as the match is loading. If I decided to play the game, and I catch you, staring contest with me on the hook until you die.
If all four of you did it, you'd better be good enough to pull off all the bully squad stunts that you're planning, because I will be very mean.

I don't really care, I do it as well so I don't have to bother with a killer bringing franklins because I brought a medkit.

Pesky survivors. Don't they know they're not allowed to take items into trials?

I just tunnel and camp them out to deter the behavior in the future. And when they get mad and send me a message, I calmly explain that they were being disciplined for their unsportsmanlike conduct. They always understand and apologize and we become friends and queue together without swapping last second.
Just kidding, well, about everything after the hate message part. They never learn and explaining it does not help. They do not seem to have the capacity to comprehend the words.

I do that with maps
screw you for whenever I face hag every 70 games

The biggest F You is bringing saboteur along with your flashlight.
1 -
I just stopped looking at the lobby
I just press ready and tab out. Much less of a worry that way
2 -
I never realized this was bad manners? I be workin on my loadout right tilt the last second most games lol. Just indecisive
1 -
It IS shady for 100% but I never cared about items anyway.
2 -
Its generally fine if its one person, its more when its like 3 or 4 all swapping at the last second that is douchey
2 -
Characters and items should probably be locked when you go into a lobby.
If you all bring 4 flashlights and the killer brings lightborn seeing that you all have 4 flashlights you basically just conspired to waste a perk by switching to toolboxes at the last second. Or maybe you switched to nothing anticipating Franklins.
And sometimes killers respond by quitting while the game loads. That seems pretty fair.

So much this.
