MOM change is bad

MOM needed a buff, but what the devs did took away any uniqueness from the perk and feels like even another nerf to an already very situational and lousy perk.

Here is how to properly change it:

1. Revert it to 3 tokens.

2. Allow BOTH protection hits and safe unhooks for gaining tokens. Hold on, hear me out before yelling at me that it was already tried in a PTB. Add a cooldown of 10-15 seconds between gaining tokens.

The issue in the PTB, as stated by Peanits, was that you could gain two tokens by unhooking and getting hit by the killer if he was still near the hook. The cooldown prevents survivors from doing one action and gaining two tokens. They would gain only one token because the cooldown would kick in and prevent them from gaining the second token.

In short, this change diversifies the way of gaining tokens without allowing survivors to gain them too fast. It will make activating the perk less like you have to throw the game or a chore.

3. Revert the aura change like it was previously. Your aura is visible AFTER tanking the protection hit.

4. MOM should not inflict deep wounds after tanking the hit with endurance and it should not be disabled by conspicuous actions.

Most of the new endurance perks are triggered effortlessly, by natural occurrences in the game. For MOM you have to actively work to activate it. Therefore, the perk should retain its uniqueness of being the only Endurance perk to not inflict deep wounds and to stack with other endurance perks. This will not get out of hand, as MOM can only stack with at most one other endurance perk and this will happen only once before the perk deactivates and needs to be recharged with three tokens.

Moreover, it is not fair that you have to waste a lot of time activating a perk just to lose it because you did a basic action. This perk has a harsh activation condition, a situational effect, restricts what you can do in the trial, and has a punishment for activating it. Does no one at BHVR see how this is overkill?

I don't think they will ever revert the endurance part. They explicitly called out they don't want to have two divergent types of endurance hits, even if it's just limited to a single perk.

Revert the aura part of it entirely. The perk is still not going to be good, so there's no need for an aura penalty for activating a perk that is hard to even get working in the first place.

    I'm loving the new MoM

It's a pretty good anti tunnel perk for your teammates now.

Just one protection hit and a heal and you are set up for a double body block

Add unbreakable and you can tripple bodyblock a hook for someone on deadhook which pretty much guarenties they get off if they actually bother to wiggle

Then the killer either has to let the deadhook survivor go to hook you or chase after them allowing you to pick yourself up and already have a stack ready for the next time you heal

It's never going to be a top tier perk cause of how bodyblocking doesn't work against some killers bit concidering how meme tier it was before i really don't see the nerf everyone is talking about.

It's all around a much more usefull perk

It seems much better in theory.
