Guess it's tike to go back to full slowdown
I have been playing alot of killer and only running upto 2 slowdowns but now between the prove thyself and maxed out tool boxes gens are going just as fast as they were pre patch. Looks like they cycle continues.

The ten seconds doesn't make THAT much of a difference. You still have to play well. Constant pressure.

This is what happens when you add more time to gens AND killers stack a ton of slowdown perks (tunneling and camping as well). Survivors are trying to finish gens as quickly as possible.

It goes like this in killers' mindset.
Killer buffs -> Easier game -> Constant 3-4K -> MMR up, face much better survivors -> Lose -> Complains
And here goes with alot of thread: guess go back to 4 slowdown, tunnel/camping, looks like survivors adapt and play well now.
No, its just you face survivors who have skill far better than you. You were carried by the buff, 4 slowdown, tunnel,camping on Solo, your MMR is no where close to your skill. Just like survivors with DH.

Nothing gets me to slap on a gen rushing build faster than going against killers that stack four slowdowns and play as nasty as possible.

You can ask for the devs to roll back Dead Hard & Decisive Strike so survivors use those instead

They just nerfed the only perk that incentivized injuring multiple people, so it's tunneling they want, not gen defence.

why do killers constantly need to be incentivized to leave the hook and play a decent game?
BBQ incentivized leaving the hook
POP incentivized leaving the hook
Thana incentivized injuring more people
etc etc, it's so funny to me that killers needs little treats and rewards to play a normal, fun match, and when they aren't getting those they just think standing still in front of the first person they find and tunneling them relentlessly is all they have left, I'm so bored of "I'm not incentivized to do this" as an excuse.

I'm aware bur the thing is I was only running 2 slowdowns and thing were good. I didn't win all the time but all the games felt good. So I can go back into full sweat and run 2 perks or run 4 slowdowns and be able to chill a bit

I'm not blaming the survivors it was bound to happen because some of the things you mentioned.
Ive played more survivor then killer this patch because of q times and been doing some nasty stuff with gen speeds I was just hoping it wouldn't get back to this point.

Thats just replacing one problem for another and solves nothing. Though I would be ok with 5 seconds on ds.

For the same reason survivors have to be incentivized to leave gens. Why leave your objective unless it benefits you. If leaving the hook has no benefits your asking the killer to purposely play bad.
Thats like me saying survivors are doing gens to fast can you just get off them and go do bones even know I have no hexes or noed.

Because we don't want to lose games we should have won just because, "It's more fun/fair that way." We're going to play to win, and since every strong killer perk that allowed you to go for multiple chases was taken away, we're going back to the basics. Tell me I'm not crazy: every time there was a killer, perk, or build that made gens last longer or made chases shorter got nerfed.
There seems to be this huge misconception in the community that because killers have gotten buffs, they're getting stronger each time. In reality, it's not even a trade-off. For every killer buff, there's been 3 nerfs. Think of the gen defence perks alone that have been nerfed: Ruin/Undying, Pop, Discordance, Pain Resonance/Dead Man's Switch, Overcharge, Surveillance, Thanatophobia, Corrupt, Tinkerer, Dying Light, and Gearhead. And y'all still wonder why killers never bother to pressure the gens.

Not for me. It has been like that for almost every single match for years.
It's not really an issue as far as I'm concerned. There are ways to punish the various tactics associated with a genrush. My build are usually kill oriented without slow downs.

"We don't want to lose games we should have won", now how the hell you gunna know if you "should" have won a match if you just stood next to the first person you hooked? Are you not "winning games you should have" because all your auto-regress gen things aren't up anymore because that's not you winning the match, that's your perks.
Boohoo, your combo perks got "destroyed" back in 2017 killers were actually good and weren't running 4 slow downs and had a lot more op survivor things to verse and they did just fine 3/4King.

Survivors are incentivized by their objectives (saving people to make escaping a possibility), killers should be incentivized by their objective (killing everyone) yet they'll settle for a one chase game and back themselves up with NoED like it's the only thing they've got left.

So the incentives are the same between leaving and not leaving the hook but one guarantees you fine a survivor because survivors will come to try and unhook. If you just leave a hook for the sake of leaving you have a chance to not find anyone and with no incentives kicking gens is still pointless. Btw saving someone is quite the incentive to leave a gen. Why not just leave the gen and go do a dull totem.

false, the devs are to blame here because they have the power to change things for the better and can essentially erase the camping and tunneling mechanincs if they wanted... killers do those things not because they are funny, but because they are effective (and most of the time needed if you want to avoid to loose badly). it's like complaining about survivors who rush certain generators, even in the killer's face, in order to split the map and weakened his map pressure (both are camping and tunneling their respective goals). Are those tactics funny? not a bit, quite the contrary they are annyoing. Are those aganist the rules which devs established? absolutely no. add the fact that devs said that kills = win instead of hooks, certain people that are absolutely salty toxic tryharders and you'll get a general picture of why those tactics are so common...
perhaps, but those are facts: pop was nerfed to the ground (try to use pop to a gen almost complete...most of the times that gen will be repaired completely even before reaching it or they will complete it under your nose) and the bonus bp that BBQ had was erased from that perk, essentially it will incentivize the killer to kill the 1st survivor as soon as possible in order to get more pressure, so more time to do chases/defending gens, so more bp in the long run. Thana was a wasted perk for everyone except legion and plague imo, but devs still nerfed it.
DS wouldn't be a problem if devs will grant a mechanic that will reward the killer for not going for the same guy, but dead hard it should stay DEAD for good... that perk was a HUGE mistake

I agree it's why I'm so disappointed but alot of my games are starting to get back into that 4-5 minute territory with just a few chases and I don't really feel like having to go back to full sweat just to have a decent game.
I was having fun running minimal slowdown and still having good games didn't win all the time but they were fun had plenty of good chases. Now most my games withing the first few chases I got 1-2 gens left again.

The incentives aren't the same, one is engaging fun gameplay and beating the survivor at a chase, the other is... absolutely nothing, just standing there and waiting.
I would rather take a chase in a losing match so I can get better at chasing than stand in front of the hook and go "oh woe is me, look at the gens flying by, there's nothing I could have done".

You can say the same about stealthy survivors or the ones that don't stick to gens and leave to avoid chase but they are smart playstyles so survivors do them. There not exactly the fun playstyle but they are effective.

What even are these strawmans? Survivors trying to hide from the monster that is trying to kill them is not "ruining" the game for someone, catching someone and committing to absolutely no gameplay and trying your best to make sure someone dies with 4K points is. I think you know these aren't the same you just won't admit it because then you'd be wrong.
It's hilarious how you're trying to compare you going to a generator, and not finding a survivor as face camping someone.

In the end of the day the balance of the game didn't change that much.
Whoever brings the strongest stuff wins.
It's just that at base now killers have the advantage instead of survivors

Couple of days ago, i had a full SWF with BNP, Prove, etc. on the Artists map. While i had no slowdown at all. After the (short) match they asked "did someone say gen rush?"
Nope, they don´t appreciate when the killer tries to go for a slower pace with no slowdown.

Yeah...but the least you can do is keep playing and hope they appreciate it, although I legit never got a gg texted to me across PlayStation, 😔 and I always try to text gg to a killer if they were nice, if they are on PlayStation

Just like the old meta would have carried some survivors onto wins they otherwise wouldn't have had, so too has the new killer meta. Survivors have spent the last couple weeks playing around with new builds, and in that time I'm sure many killers have been carried into higher MMR than they're used to. Survivors are now finding the builds that help compensate for the ones they lost as well as the ones that best counter the new killer meta, and I think things are (or will be) slowly starting to balance out.

Well it will always be a self fulfilling prophecy at this point, one side takes the most efficient stuff "just in case" the other does so and in the end everybody will go back to run it or just leave.
It's a hen and egg problem, you don't know who started it but i can guarantee everyone that it will never end again.
The wheel started turning downhill and won't stop until the game is dead or the devs destroy something.

An excuse which has been proven to be a lie over and over and over, wathever BHVR introduces to make leaving the hook more appealing has been answered with more camping.

Its the problem of Survivors can stack High rarity toolbox & addon. Just as Killers with 4 slowdown. Except slowdown comes as perk, its free once you get them, every match.
Though 4 BNP toolbox vs no slow down is just as stupid as 4 slowdown vs no Gen boost perks. Items should be nerfed.
We dont know if we're in balance state. Sure the game was survivor's sided that a skill 4 survivor can win skill 5 killer. But after the buff, 4 slowdown, tunneling. Skill 5 killer win skill 6 survivors, then lose to skill 7 survivors and complain the game is still survivor sided. You know what I mean.
I accept dying alot recently and have my MMR dropped to vs easier Killers, and eventually have normal games. But do Killers had constant 4K, have their MMR up vs harder Survivors accepting the fact that they cant always 4K?

Agreed. I don't think we are balanced *yet*, but things will even out I'm sure. Having said that, I wouldn't say balancing was ever actually perfect at all - I could easily recognize when I was matched with more skilled and experienced survivors and killers. But accepting that you won't always escape and you won't always 4k is definitely an issue for many survivors and killers. And honestly, it's healthy for their own mentality that they don't have those sorts of expectations. I feel like there would be a lot less complaining if people didn't allow their egos to take control. Win enough games and you'll eventually start losing, it's how the game is designed.

Most people knew not much changed, survivors could still slam out generators like before. They were just giving up and DCing constantly.
