Nurse Rework
Every 4-5 rounds I get a starstruck nurse and at least 2 of my teammates are guaranteed to kill themselves on first hook, the rounds against her in solo queue are completely unplayable as she's so easy to master and use and now the update has just buffed her even more. Why is this not being addressed by devs? It's literally you hear a nurse cry and everyone just gives up immediately and it's not hard to see why. Needs rework and nerf of her add-ons.

Im shocked people still select Nurse wait 10 minutes in queue just to have the game end in 1 minute lol

Nurse used to be hard. She was buggy and couldn't blink through certain things. But no longer. Ever since her QoL changes and return from the kill switch, she's easy to learn.
I would love to see a Youtuber make a video where they take someone who has never played and barely heard of DbD before (but still a gamer) and teach them to play Nurse over the course of a few days. After said gamer quickly learns to dominate matches then there would be definitive proof that Nurse does not take as much skill as everyone seems to believe.

I think it's ridiculous that Nurse can give M1 after blink, of course she needs to hit after blink, but it shouldn't cause status effects, Nurse is on the other side of the map and can take down a surv exposed with her blink, that had to be changed in it

Sorry not sorry for killing myself on first hook

You take the right gamer, like someone who's good at FPSes and pair them with a good coach, like Otzdarva, and if after a week that Nurse doesn't have an 80% kill rate I'll eat my words. Sure there'd be some "experienced survivors [pooping] all over [the] little experiment" but those will be the outliers.

How about we make Spasmodic Breath basekit? That'd be fun lol.

Not really. It goes to show how broken Nurse is.
Against almost all killers if the survivor has enough distance from the killer to make a vault from a 2nd story window on any map (New Haddonfield being the best example) that killer doesn't get the hit and the survivor often makes significant distance. For any decent Nurse that's an easy free hit every time. As soon as the Nurse sees the survivor begin the vault animation a quick blink to the bottom, easy hit. In fact almost any drop is an almost automatic hit for a Nurse even if the survivor has Balanced Landing.
Survivors throwing pallets offer a similar opportunity although it is not as easy.

Just disable that ######### until solo gets a rework, put her "on the back burner."

Since this is a trend, let me throw another drawing
2 -
If that changed, then her speed needs to be increased to atleast 4.2 with it.
0 -
Yes. It is.
Thanks to Nurse existing we only get massively oversized mostly single floor maps. There's only one map like Midwich and it is easily her best map.

Lmao. Oh please. Don't tell me you actually think BHVR doesn't have to account for Nurse every time they design a map. 🤣

She doesn't need anything, there are a lot of people who play very well with her without using these add-ons.
0 -
By playing very well I assume you mean tunnelling and camping at 5 gens with starstruck after the first person just DC'ed and hitting on hook as that's what every nurse round ends up being ? There is no "playing well" as nurse you just teleport to the survivor and ignore any means they had to get away i.e. pallets and vaults she breaks the entire mechanics of the game who allowed it lmao
1 -
Yes it looks crazy,
i totally agree with the rework for nurse, although i really enjoy playing her now.
0 -
i agree, she doesn’t need anything right now, because she’s not broken.
But you said a blink hit shouldn’t count as an M1. If that were to be changed, her speed would have to be changed as well so that she can achieve M1’s. Otherwise you’re destroying a large amount of perks for one killer.
1 -
I'll use Blight as an example, when he uses the power even if he has a noed or sloppy butcher it won't work, I thought with the nurse it should be the same thing, in her case, if anyone wanted to use these perks, she could use add ons that give it more speed
1 -
So you’re saying that this one odd out killer has to use addons to be able to use a large chunk of perks? You cannot use blight as a comparison because blight is a 115 killer. He doesn’t need his power to get hits. Make it make sense dude.
1 -
anyway, noed and startruck are very strong in Nurse, even more so when the player using it is very experienced
0 -
This is why I suggest:
- Make any attack where she uses 2 or more blinks count as a special attack.
If she can get the hit in 1 blink or less she can enjoy the benefits of Starstruck, Haunted Grounds or NOED. But if it takes 2 or more blinks it's just a normal hit.
Is this not a reasonable compromise?

Nurse is fine if you are good as survivor
1 -
Yeah that's just not true though is it?
You could be elite at blocking line of sight and 360'ing but it'll get you an extra 10 seconds tops against an average nurse. She has completely different counter play to ANY killer because none of the methods of escape apply to her that apply to every other killer because she can just teleport to you from across the other side of the map if she wants.
2 -
Nurse is the only killer in the game where I've never said "Wow that was smart" or "Wow that caught me out" because her power is so simple and easy to use anyone can after 48 hours of practice, although you'll still get people saying holding a button for a few seconds to teleport you next to a survivor is "skill".
2 -
The fact that you’re using pallets and vaults as examples of her being “ez” shows that you are playing against nurse wrong. A competent survivor will rarely be doing either action. In your other example, a bad nurse kills a bad survivor. How does that prove anything?
1 -
"A competent survivor will rarely be doing either action" you mean the actions that apply to every killer apart from Nurse because she's a complete outlier as a killer
0 -
I hope the devs take action soon. She needs a rework.
0 -
They -just- recoded her, dude. So no, they're not taking special considerations.
1 -
You say that as if a survivor never actually has to use a pallet or vault against a Nurse, which is categorically false. A good Nurse has an "ez" time forcing survivors into bad situations where survivors good or bad have to make sub-optimal choices. The fact that Nurse not only ignores pallets and vaults almost completely, she gets hits in those places almost for free where most other killers struggle. I don't know if you noticed but most maps and tiles are built around pallets and vaults.

Just thought I'd add one of the most cringe nurse rounds I've had all day, two people killed themselves on hook and I was left to bleed out so she could have her 50th 4k of the day all at 4 gens which is pretty good for a nurse round:
3 People were downed by the time the first gen had stopped which is understandable since she has no effective counter play :/ Guess we'll just have to keep dealing with this as dev's don't care about balancing their game

I don’t know if you noticed, but all maps also have line of sight breakers
