because everyone quit being survivor. Before the update survivor ques we’re bad cause nobody played killer now ITS THE TOTAL OPPOSITE

Also the bloodpoint bonus which would help correct which side had less players is killswitched

pretty much killer sided update and survivor quit and no bloodpoint bonus on are perks and the bloodpoint gain sucks now.

Pretty much just this to be perfectly honest. I wish they just kept the bugged version, it would be more fun for everyone.

Queue is between 1 and 2 minutes. Way faster than what survivor was before the update.

survivor queue is instant at any time of the day and killer queue takes forever, can you guess why or you need help ?

I need help with that. Because the active playerbase increased.

Too many people playing Killer or too little people playing Survivor, simple as.
Since several months before the patch Survivors in Europe didnt have queues until 21:30 where they had around 20 seconds and increased with time, at 23:00 queues soared to several minutes.
I dont know your region but in Europe there has been lack of Survivors for almost half a year at morning and evening times, now there is a lack of Survivors even at night which is actually rare since I cant remember a time where Killers had queues at night.

did it only increase for killers because only time I can play killer is at 7:30pm which Qtimes take about 5 to 6 min not bad but not great but any time in the morning till around 7:30pm killer Q take forever where survivor Q are instant no matter the time.

BHVR promised role incentive rewards, but those were killswitched and they still haven’t restored them yet even though they have apparently been fixed. No urgency by BHVR at all to get those back in the game.

For me it's 5+ minutes for a game that needs 5 players per match total.
Meanwhile other popular games with PVP content like Destiny 2: 30 seconds even though the biggest pvp mode requires 12 players total.

Also playing in europe and thats not how my survivor queues were for the last months. With the exception of the event. Survivor always had a queue of several minutes during prime time. There were even threads about it on this forum.

I'm so sick of the bloodpoint economy terminology it always sounded like an excuse to keep bad grinding

Playerbase increased roughly by 2-4k people on steam. If those were all killers. Then killer queues would be much, much longer. Speaking about 20+ minutes of queue.
On some days i have a survivor queue of up to 30 seconds.
Now parting from your first comment. When survivors had queues of 5+ minutes. Did all killers leave?

not sure about killer quit sure some did I play both sides
but between the hours I gave I have 5 to 6 min wait time other time killer wait time like 15 to 18 min at that part I give up go to solo survivor hell.

Played only killer this afternoon, EU, 4pm to 7pm, my queue times were ~1min, which I could live with !
Only time it felt really long was when someone disconnected during the loading, which made the loading something like 2min30, chained with another minute to find another lobby.

Well then we must play in totally different servers even if we are in the same region because I havent had queues as Survivor in Europe for several months while as Killer during morning and evening had, sometimes they were short, a few seconds only and sometimes they were around 2 minutes or so.

I always had instant survivor queue matches but killer took too long before the update 3-5 mins but now it takes 10-15 min to even play killer..

Impossible, if you are in America and connect to Europe or Asia servers you are going to have around 250-350 ms minimum, probably even more.

Same boat, I'm in the UK region and my queue times are between 5-10 mins. Tried VPN'ing over to EU for a test and it was still 5 mins. Seriously killing my desire to keep playing DBD. At least survivor is nearly instant even as a 4 stack so it's not completely terrible.

but really no even sure how the servers work because I got Asia in my lobby how that happen if I'm in the US?

Are you playing with cross play on? I´ve never seen killer queues of more than 10 minutes, with the exception of that one event that required survivors to play killer for vials.

Or something else influences the queue times. Maybe its the mmr. Devs hinted something about it, when they talked about the incentives being possibly different for a group of friends.

Why everyone is angry at queues. For me nothing changed after the update.
In Greece that I am living queues are like this
Morning getting survivor queues in less than 10 seconds and night killer queues in less than 10 seconds
And when is morning I get killer after 5 minutes or more and night I get survivor again in more than 5 minutes or more
Now for America or anything else I don't know. But has this changed your queue that much. My god

Yep I'm in socal too. Takes atleast 5 min for each match to load but only until about 5-6 pm

It kinda is when most people were used to 15-30 second queues on killer.
OP, killer queues are long because everyone wants to play killer right now. It should stabilize once the queue incentives come back. Which won't be for another month 😬.

I mean cross play is on and the game has a decent amount of player base but still takes forever to play killer.. I end up playing 2 killer matches max these days because of how long the queue times, what makes it even worst that 80% of my matches are against 4 stack swf's .

It's pretty clear survivors either switched to killer or stopped playing. Wait times got longer after the update that buffed killers... use your head.

All of them? With a 4 to 1 ratio of survivors to killers, such a shift would result in killer queues of over 20 minutes. Killer queue seems to be around the same amount of time the survivor queue was before the patch. Roughly 5 minutes.
So again, i need help with that.

I am just a small sample size, but i reduced my dbd-playtime around 80% and the last 20 % i play mostly killer instead of solo survivor which i used to play. So i am very active, but i quit playing survivor, for the most part.
While i agree that balance changes were needed, i think they went in too far regarding solo survivor.
