It is not the attack cooldown reduction that buffed STBFL

At least not chase wise. In a chase the new STBFL time is not the main factor. The main factor why it feels so insane when you have a bunch of stacks is because survivors have a much shorter speed burst on being injured now and can barely make distance.

Nerfing STBFL to be at the same time as before the update wont change much.

While I would prefer they increase the speed boost for survivors, I think killer mains wouldn't enjoy that. They are better off nerfing the percentage per stack of STBFL, it is ridiculous when it is fully stacked. Many killers are also able to avoid losing stacks making it crazy.

As I said, nerfing it won't do much. The crazy thing is the speed boost.

I don’t think there was any need for the nerf to the speed boost after the hit in the first place.

When playing killer, Dead Hard to gain distance and the 2nd chance perks that guaranteed a survivor an escape in the endgame were the frustrating aspects to deal with. The nerf to those perks were more than enough.

I mean baseline it feels fine, you can make it plenty of distance against most killers. The same outliers are the culprits when it comes to feeling like your speed boost did nothing (nurse, blight). STBFL is definitely a problem right now and needs to be adjusted.

It’s definitely both. The reduced speed boost doesn’t matter at all against a camping killer with several STBFL stacks.

    It’s both.

But imo, the speedboost reduction is a good thing and it needs to stay. Shift W is boring and wasted too much time. I’m still in favor of nerfing STBFL though.

I mean it's only 0,2 seconds shorter. I would argue it's the combo of both reduced cooldown and shorter sprint burst.

They probably just need to nerf STBFL from 5% to 4% per stack.

it's almost as if my post has "At least chase wise" at the start of it. I don't think camping is a form of chasing.

It's both. It went from 1.8s CD with max stacks to 1.62s CD. 1.62s would take 46% reduction before, so a little over 1 extra stack. That's a lot faster, when you reduce a small number to be even smaller, then it starts to add up.

It has made camping way too strong, we had a wraith camp yesterday with 8 stacks and there was nothing we could do. Killers should not get rewarded for camping when there are still gens up. Maybe they could cap the stacks at 4 or 5 tokens so it doesn’t become too crazy paired with the new killer buffs?

Ok? Regardless, both aspects made STBFL stronger in chase - and that’s just a fact. Base faster successful M1 attack cooldown with an unchanged STBFL, and base less speed boost as a survivor being hit means less distance gained on both ends of the spectrum.
