I actually can't really play Nurse (haven't tried with add-ons yet) but they insist that Double Recharge makes no difference.
Can anyone confirm that?
Also she said that the Nea shouldn't have been playing Survivor if they got tunneled by a Nurse at 3 gens. It was 5 gens left when the Nea died but it's whatever.

I just faced a self-proclaimed comp killer today, who said they main Dredge.
They were playing Dredge, tunneled me the entire game, and only just managed to 2k with the help of NOED.
I think anyone could be a comp killer.

Your typical spirit match. Even with all the counterplay they added to her kit, people still threat her as S-Tier just below Nurse and Blight and just refuse to play her.
The Steve just went down really fast and, even though I left the hook to nearly the other side of the map, killed himself on the hook. The one Jane then couldn't cope with put on the hook for a second time (no tunneling though) and just DCed.
I then semi played the game normally, alternating between both of them until they were both on death hook and then I killed of the Elodie, because she was prestige 12, so I figured the other Jane was less experienced and might enjoy the hatch more. But still, that game was totally destroyed by the early suicide and the closely following DC.

I'm a Nurse main with over 1k hours in the game (probably over 3/4 of that on Nurse) and they are full of crap.
Double recharge feels so good to play. Waiting for blinks to recharge sucks more than waiting for your power on another killer, because you literally cannot catch survivors at base movement speed (in the absence of really dumb survivor plays, anyway). Since she is completely reliant on her power to land hits, waiting for it to recharge is painful, and shortening the recharge duration so much makes her way more engaging and fun.
But it's horribly oppressive to the survivors and probably needs to be nerfed. 😢

They also invited me to a party and asked me why I thought Nurse was a good Killer.
Also thinks DS is still too good. Also is still claiming to play in comp leagues.

They very well could play in comp leagues... you just have to put a team together around you and anyone can be a comp player!
But if they honestly think that double recharge "makes no difference" then they are either trolling you or don't understand the killer they supposedly main.

Could be, I dunno. The only other explanation I can think of is that they meant "not playing double recharge would have had the same outcome," e.g. "it made no difference in this game."
But it sounds more like they are just an ignorant narcissist. (Not that there's a shortage of those around these parts, to be fair.)

double recharge is awesome. i feel most at home with those as an xbox player. Range might be better, but theres a Shadowbornesque coziness to it that makes Nurse more exciting to play.
Using range addons, or the 3 blink I get kinda anxious with my blinks because the cooldown is pretty punishing; recharge makes me feel more confident because I don't fear failure.

Double recharge makes it easier to chase as you have less cooldown.
It doesn't help much against experienced survivors though. It's better to play without them until you feel strong enough and get competitive teams. Otherwise it's kind of a waste.
