Another DH topic
I’m bit confused and haven’t used the perk since it’s been changed but don’t it still give distance and a third health state? the very reason it was hated. If so, It does the same thing but in reverse and require good timing but everybody seem ok so was it really the perk that was the problem or the player? Or how easy it was to use?

Dead Hard is definitely harder to use now. It only gives half a second of Endurance, which can easily be baited or mistimed by the survivor. Plus, the endurance hit inflicts deep wounds, which makes it harder to escape by hiding in a corner after a jungle gym, since the survivor has to mend, and is noisy.
Also, a subject of complaint of the old Dead Hard was using it purely for distance to reach a new loop unscathed, which cannot be done now.
I never used old DH, and don't use the new, but when I play killer, I see some people try it out, and some of them do really well with it.

Cant use it for distance.
If you are good enough you can still deny a hit and gain even more distance than before but 99% of survivors arent good enough to consistently get a use out of it so they use easier to use perks.
Its good now, no complaints from me. I actually like seeing people use it well against me.

Honestly I always felt like it was easy to bait but ok, right the added endurance I forgot about idk why I thought it was always a thing. So being Unscratched, I just see people on here complaining about something that wasn’t really removed.

To be fair, even old Dead Hard was not that useful in the hands of survivors who couldn't use it well. I don't play at high mmr, and most, if not every DH I would see in my killer games were dumb DH bumping into a corner, or buying 3 seconds out in the open for me to catch them again, so I never had anything against old DH, haha.
It was the killer's bane, the stuff of legends, but much like any legend, it was unfounded a LOT of the time.

Yea that’s what I meant about the distance (: yea I think it’s still a really decent perk a little more risky and require you to pay attention. I’m def one of the player to Dab and go down and I panic most of the time so I don’t use it 😆

You only get distance if killers swing into it, but alas that's what killers are forced to do sometimes. You can literally option select killers at pallets and windows, because if they don't preemptively swing then you get the pallet/window. Turns out .5 seconds is still quite a long time, else you wouldn't notice the animation. The reason we wanted Dead Hard nerfed is because we wanted to be able to lunge again without getting punished, but this version still punishes that. Killers just aren't allowed to lunge and end those chases .5 or 1 second sooner; too OP.
