Survivors stop trying to heal people who are using their medkit
i am seriously sick of other survivors who run up to me while i use my medkit and then keep tbagging trying to get me to let them heal me. why the hell would i waste my medkit by healing a little then letting your tbagging ass touch my when im at 70%. GO DO A GEN.
let me add that the people who are the problem are the ones who sit there until you finish healing. if they don't stop healing then LEAVE. all of this is about people you find running around healing not unhooks. if i notice We'll make it then yes i will let you heal me.
well im not gonna be paying attention to the thread anymore since no one is actually addressing what i do have the issue with.

Survivors can't see that you are using your med-kit to heal yourself. Items disappear when doing actions.

Maybe I want you to save it so you can need it when teammates can’t heal you.
Maybe I just want to touch you and feel your hot and sweaty body beneath my hands?
Stop being selfish and let me touch you!

exactly

But I have autodidact and need stacks

do you not look at people items in lobby?
1 -
to the first point everytime you try to stop someone from using a medkit you are already wasting a full heal on the medkit. let them finish that charge and go do a gen after all my sweady body is for me!

man it's so rare when people use that. i wish it became more meta since it helps with sloppy.

I can see what items people bring into the lobby, but I'm not actively keeping track of who brought what item halfway into a trial.

But, but, I have Bite the Bullet
2 -
I mean, I do that because I have Botany/Empathic Connection/Autodidact and I could heal you way faster than your piddly medkit while allowing you to preserve it for some time I'm not around. But you do you.
3 -
so keep better track? i remember what people bring so i don't know what to tell you.

That’s still not telling you whether they’re even using it. It might be dead already, they could’ve dropped it, Franklins might be in play.

Knowing which specific teammates has a med-kit or a flashlight hardly matters in match on the survivor side.
You can always stop healing for a second holding shift so they can't heal you and show them your med-kit then continue healing. Or just keeping healing. I'm not sure why your teammates wanting to heal you is such a big problem.

I want those sweet, succulent altruism points 😋🤤
also I run bite the bullet I hear you crying across the map, lemme give you that bite value

I just played a game where me and a Mikaela unhooked a Meg, the Meg immediately tried healer herself instead of getting a double tickle. Me and Mikaela just looked at each other, waiting for her to stop, and then the killer started running at us. Both of us unconsciously choose to not body block for the Meg, she instantly went down. Congratulations, you played yourself.

i do keep healing the problem comes when they just sit there tbagging until you finish healing and at that point whats the point? what im saying is if they keep healing then leave and do something else stop sitting there tbagging until they finish healing.

I'm running We're Gonna Make it and have 20 seconds left to give someone a rapid heal while you're selfcaring for an hour.
5 -
if it's 2 people trying to heal then yes let them heal you i agree.
0 -
where did i mention selfcare?

That's what it looks like.

There are plenty of reasons . I can know you have a medkit but what i dont know, is it a green fast heal medkit? Is it a yellow medkit with 36 charges and a syringe/styptic? One of those you wouldnt want a heal the other you might. Maybe i still have double healing from that unhook perk, maybe you have streetwise/built to last, maybe you already used/gave someone your fancy medkit and are using a yellow you found in a chest, if your at 10% i can heal you now and you can 90% one later and get topped up just before finishing a gen with someone later. Plenty of valid gameplay reasons there, without even going into achievements/archive challenges as another one
2 -
the reasons are irrelevant im talking about the fact that when they don't stop healing themselves these people don't leave they just sit there.
and i already talked about we'll make it so im not addressing that.

looking like something doesn't mean sit there watching someone heal and do nothing for the team.

For all they know you're using a brown medkit and already missed a skillcheck. All you have to do is point or beckon if you want them to stay or go, its pretty easy.
4 -
is someone not stopping to let you heal not a good enough indication?

But I can't tell if it's a full- half or almost gone....

Yeah, I get your point, but at the same time sometimes just trust the other survivor. Maybe they need it for a daily or tome challenge, or maybe they have a build dedicated to it.
I've been facing the problem so many times where a survivor will refuse to let me heal them and insists to heal me first, which would be great if I wasn't running one of these (Desperate Measures/Botany/Autodidact) with solidarity. I've literally gone back and forth 3-4 times because a survivor keeps cancelling the heal. I go into end game screen and they had no reason to not let me heal them first.
I do get your sentiment though. I've done this to other survivors where I know I can heal myself safely with a medkit and let them start doing gens. Usually they get the message from me pointing and running away with my medkit.

Are you ever willing to take any agency in any of the situations you find yourself in ingame? who cares if they want to just sit there and admire your rowing animation. If you want to communicate to them to leave, you have the ability to do so and actively refuse to use it, then make a topic on the forums complaining about it. Just use the gestures fam.
3 -
Medkit may have ran out and your using selfcare so them healing would better, guessing your close to done and covering you in case the killer comes so they can take chase since your heal is so important to you, wanting to get a quick tap in to activate aftercare, having trouble finding a gen and hoping to run together and you might know where to go, the list goes on and on.

If you want them to communicate to you to leave maybe take the hint of them not stopping, you have the ability to see them not stopping and actively refuse to leave then make a comment on a topic about leaving the person to heal themselves so you go do a objective.. Just take the hint fam.
fixed that for you

thank you for understanding and yes i do let people heal me when im not healing myself since i usually consider the archives. i just want people to stop wasting time sitting there when people don't let you heal them.
0 -
I'm not the person you're talking about so it doesn't exactly work like that?
1 -
how am i suppose to know you have aftercare? its the same as not knowing i have selfcare or not. and even then the problem is when they dont leave when it's obvious i don't want them to heal me. why is that so hard to accept?
0 -
you are the person if your doing what i was talking about.
0 -
Cool, i'm still not then. Just someone who tried to give you advice on how to not put yourself in a situation you apparently despise so.
0 -
Drives me nuts. Also, if you're injured and I drop a medkit and run away, you should pick up my medkit and heal. I'm trying to force solo heals to relieve pressure the killer has on us. The lack of comms is a pain when you're trying to optimize stuff.
3 -
then leave then i don't have anything to say to you then if your not doing it so your not doing anything wrong. and there is such a thing as bad advice which is what you gave me.

It's an incredibly selfish thing to do with someone right there. One of the worst survivors plays I've ever seen was when I was on the hook WITH KINDRED and watched as three idiots healed themselves WHILE BEING ABLE TO SEE EACH OTHER. Granted, I've never seen that before or since, (been about a year), but those are the kinds of players that will insist on healing themselves no matter what.
3 -
Because with very few exceptions your worst case scenario if you break off of partial self heal is you still have part of the med kit That you can use on someone else. Frankly if you wanna do you and heal yourself that's fine but you can't tell other people what to do if you're just gonna do whatever you Wanna do anyways.

Play with an swf if this is your attitude. Otherwise, get over it.
4 -
take your attitude somewhere else,
0 -
How is it bad advice? Having your own input into a situation will always give you better odds than hoping someone else adheres to what you want, and lashing out at people online doesn't really change that.
0 -
No! All hot and sweaty bodies are for me. My bush will touch every inch of your body, rejuvenating you to levels you’ve never thought possible.
1 -
Right, okay. I've had plenty of times when I let someone else finish the heal, and then later I had to use what was left in my medkit to finish a heal that got interrupted. Saving medkit charges just in case is not a bad thing. But you do you and limit your own options.
I use Empathy to go to injured people, and I'm running Botany to speed up the process. I can't necessarily tell who someone is from their aura. If they start healing as I'm making my way to them, I don't know if they have a medkit (usually they don't) when I see them healing themself. And at that point I've already wasted time getting to the person. If I offer to heal someone and they don't let me, I rarely offer again.
1 -
Tbf, if I know you have that terrible perk, I definitely don't want you touching me.
0 -
I mean, you're the dunce who made an entire thread to tell everyone here how selfish of a player you are.
0 -
I've seen plenty of stupid analogies. The gamer community is filled with them. This one is exceptionally bad though.

There's been times that a survivor doesn't want my heal, even though I am medic themed. I understand if they have hemorrhage.
But I won't unhook them afterwards, I can be petty.
1 -
Could be that selfcare/medkit are hindering altruism points. Some complain that survivors don't earn enough BP, being capable of complete solo actions is a contributing factor.
0 -
Only time I'm ever petty like that is if they try to 4% right in my face while im making the save. I'll usually save em anyway, but you just forfeit your heal and bodyblocks.
