Boon Totems Snuff out in endgame?

I was in endgame in the dying state recovering near a boon totem and was just about to fully recover as the last person died on hook besides me and the boon snuffed out leaving stranded on the ground. The killer shadowed me the whole time as they slugged the whole match so i know they didn't put it out; so does end game snuff out boon totems on its own?
