Dead Space Chapter

I believe it's not a matter of if, but when, for a Dead Space chapter. Isaac Clarke is literally a master engineer so his appearance in the DBD realm makes all the sense, and with a Dead Space chapter, we'll finally get the dark space map we'll probably never get from an Alien Isolation chapter.

I have a couple of perk ideas for Isaac I thought would be interesting and lore accurate to his character, after all he's an engineer and they weren't hard to think about.

Salvor - Years of tinkering have left you with the ability to salvage anything of use. Fully depleting an item of uncommon rarity or higher grants tokens based on the item's rarity (Uncommon - 0/0/1; Rare - 0/1/2; Very Rare - 1/2/3; Ultra Rare - 2/3/4; Up to 4 Tokens). At any time, craft an item based on the amount of tokens you have (1 Token - Common Item; 2 Tokens - Uncommon item or lower rarity w/ chance of Add-on(s); 3 Tokens - Uncommon item or better w/ high chance of Add-on(s); 4 Tokens - Rare Item or better w/ higher chance of Add-on(s)).

Tortured Mind - Past experiences have left you with an unshakable willpower to simply get the job done. At one hook tally receive a 3/6/9% increase in repair speed, at two hook tallies 6/12/18% increase in repair speed. While the buff is active, each time you complete a generator you scream and your location is revealed to the Killer for 8 seconds via Killer Instinct. (This perk is meant to be a nod to Isaac's experience with the Marker in Dead Space 2)

The idea for a Dead Space chapter would be nice, but I'm not sure how it'd be pulled off. (There's also no way we're getting a dark space map. It might be space themed, but it would not be dark)

The only real issue with Salvor is that there's only 2 items in the game that are Ultra Rare (Iridescent): the rainbow map and skeleton key. So for a player to completely use up one of those items so that they can make a Rare item with a boosted chance for addons is asking for a bit much.

Can't really complain for Tortured Mind, as it seems fine (ignoring the fact that the player running this can just dip out of repairs and avoid the reveal while still reaping the repair boost).

But here's the big question: where killer? Dead Space is best known for the necromorphs, but while it does have human antagonists; they wouldn't translate well to here (at least not like Wesker [I can't think of any other human bad guy in a series with monster/inhuman villians]). So we'd probably get a notable necromorph... but which one would we get, since there is so many options.

Dream chapter. I'm pretty sure the Dead Space team is open to collaboration too. There was an Issac Clarke skin in Skate 3, for example (Although that was still EA).

Why not just use the generic Necromorph? They did that for Demogorgon. And Necromorph are way better than those naked mole rats.

Because what would the power be for a generic necromorph?

The don't do anything except lurch forward towards Isaac, pin Isaac down for a QTE sequence, and pop out of vents. It worked for Demo because "make portals" and "nyoom attack" is a basic kit that worked given the setting for ST.

OH. Maybe it's rather a sort of "cluster" that can change forms depending on interactions with items in the map (like what some theorized Legion was gonna do based from some of the promo material)? One can include several with this design.

That Tortured Mind loop hole didn't cross my mind, wow. I guess killer instinct could activate every time a gen is repaired whether you repaired it or not. The 18% repair speed buff is pretty big, so I guess it would be fair. OR, you could add a bit where the killer instinct portion of the perk remains active 30 seconds after leaving the gen.

As for the map, I mean dark not in the sense of light, I mean dark as in a creepy and decrepit space station, I would love that.

As for the killer, not entirely sure how a necromorph could work, but if they could somehow incorporate a mori where survivors turn into a necromorph themselves, that would be amazing.

Dead Space is an action game, isnt horror

One could argue, I guess. There's certainly more horrific moments in Dead Space than DBD. I would vouch Dead Space being in the same category as Resident Evil.

It's more horror than RE5, the game Wesker is coming from.
