REASSURANCE should not work in end game
In end game, killers usualy have nothing better to do than secure their kill. Exit gates will be open or 99% anyway so walking away from hook at this point you can just "Hey guys, it's free win for you".
Now, you may argue that "Hey, but how about going for that resuer then?". Oh here are problems with that:
- 1) If the hook isn't really far away from both exit gates and you don't have any instadown ability with you then you are pretty much never catch them before they will reach the exit, not even talking about other people taking hits to protect them. So that's a no no.
- 2) Multi-floor maps. You can very safely just activate it below / above the killer and there is nothing killer can do unless you are a Nurse haha.
Also I feel like this perk will be bully perk for allready not super strong killers while killers like Blight / Nurse will just "lol don't care, gona catch you anyway in few sec".
I think the perk shouldn't work in part of the game where killer has no objectives other than secure kills at this point.

I am seeing a lot people are complaining about this perk. This is the first time i agree.
Yes, this perk should not work after gates are powered. It should be deactivated. Because it will create unfair game for killer.

Only an unskilled baby killer camps in the EGC! You should pressure the gates and practice your chases! Camping is for bad killers!

After complaints over Calm Spirit, I though I've seen it all

I dislike the trend of completely deactivating perks in the endgame. I can understand it for DS and OTR because they resulted in free escapes, but in this case I'd still like to see this perk used in the endgame as there is a component of teamwork that this perk promotes.
Therefore I'd suggest something a little more... gentle: Once all the generators have been completed the duration of Reassurance decreases by 50%.

LMAO if the gates are open and EGC has started if a killer hooks a survivor with less then half the EGC he has no reason to leave if he does he is just giving the survivors a free escape at that point, camping is not for bad killers as sometimes you have to camp or you are forced to, yes some people do it right from the first hook they get others do it because the situation calls for it like i described at the start of this.

Interestingly, it’s only survivor perks that people here say should deactivate during the endgame. The rationale behind this seems to be that survivors don’t deserve “free escapes” but killers apparently are entitled to free endgame kills. I’m still trying to understand it.

while I am not agreeing or disagreeing with your statement I am honestly getting really tired of seeing killers/players/devs nerf everything in endgame just to give the killer a pity kill. It’s getting really annoying that I’m not able to do anything AT ALL in endgame (endgame is considered after 5 gens are done, not just when an exit gate is opened btw. for anybody who tries to comment on my post)

Exactly. That’s what I still don’t get. The devs wanted to change to perks because it gave free escapes sometimes but they changed it to give free kills instead lmfao. They could’ve changed the perks and been way better at making it more fair but instead they made it killer sided which is bs

Just tunnel people out of the game ASAP and you won't need to worry about it.
The more people you let make it to end game, the higher the odds of it occurring.

Well the killer META didn’t really change; it’s still Gen slowdown/regression. Even the Gen slowdown perks that were ‘nerfed’ are still used regularly. Only the survivor META changed. I think BHVR could have been honest and told us they were going to change the survivor META but don’t want to really change the killer META.
