My MMR is not adjusting
In 3 hours I managed to escape only once. My MMR should be close to negative infinite yet I still didn't get easier games.

Because the MMR system doesnt work properly, either you have ludacris waiting times to get the exactly same people of your skill level or you have games really fast and que up against anyone.
That being said escapes are not guaranteed anyway, killer is the "unstoppable force" to overcome. If you got so far to actually getting the exit games powered you and your team alredy did an extremely good job. You will most likely even probably make more bloodpoints at the end of the match than anyone and still get sacrificed.

And you know this how? You can't see the number.

In 3 hours? Bro, I had few days when I didn't escape. Besides that, I usually escape 1 in a 10-15 matches, and that's for a long long time reference. Only today I escaped 3 times because game gave me 3 potatos in a row and decent teammates.
Point is: MMR is not adjusted because it is calculated wrong.

MMR is a myth

MMR can't be adjusted if it doesn't exist to begin with

It would be nice having an option to activate or not the "fast vs relevant" matchmaking, the same way you can choose not to have crossplay activated.
I wouldn't mind waiting a few seconds / a minute more to get a killer that doesn't have 4k hours more than I do. I feel like such an option would be healthy for newer players, as they wouldn't be served as death fodder to experienced opponents.

Well that's how MMR works, if you lose it goes down. Devs said that a survivor should escape 40-50% of the time... Well I escaped only once in 3 hours.

Now it only took 2,5 hours to finally escape... Even that was only through the hatch...
F**k this game...

Their are more factors used to determine your MMR that just escaping the match.

MMR doesn't exist, and you can't convince me otherwise.

I think you are pretty lucky to be honest. I'm at 233 loses and 29 escapes (not counting a handful of killer dcs) since the big v6 patch. I should be at the very bottom of mmr, but still getting pro killers using double iridescent adds (nurse and blight often). The few games I win, I usually do 3-4 gens myself (120-180 gen repair points).
The matchmaking is very poor since the patch. I think there is no fair match at the bottom. The worst killer players still easily stomp baby survivors and 1 person can't carry them alone.

The survivor escape rate in solo queue is definitely not 50%, more like 30%. Just watch any solo Q player on twitch and count, even skilled survivors like Probzz do not get 50% escapes. In fact I would be very surprised if you can even find one who has 50% or more over the course of one stream.
My suspicion is that MMR might be working, but there is a minimum rating below which you cannot lose more rating points (1100?) and then the game doesn't care that you are still losing it will send you in random games with 1100-rated players. Seeing that even Probzz get baby killers I suspect that A LOT of people are at this 1100 level.
Personally I was around 20% winrate, it was ridiculously unfun. I would have literally full days of playing without a single escape after which I just stopped playing solo queue.

Probzz is a generic juicer and doesn't play for the win. He also doesn't exclusively play solo queue I played against him on blight and he had a full swf to do gens and killed himself on hook when I wasn't giving him youtube content.

How do you figure?

This might be a dumb question but is there actually some way to know what your exact MMR even is? Cus I always see people on these forums say stuff like "I'm high mmr" or " My mmr is at 1800" and so I'm genuinely curious if there's a way to actually find out or if people just like to pull random numbers out of their booty hole.

There is but not via legitimate methods. Can't say how on here, but there are guides if you look hard enough...and willing enough to risk your account for it. Not my cup of tea personally, but it can be done.

There is no way of knowing what mmr you is at precisely (no official way at least), people generally guess at it from how long they played and what their usual performances are.

Disagree it does not work perfectly but does exist.

Queue times are prioritized over MMR at peek times. Play at noon and i'll promise you this will show your "true" MMR.

Just because you have a few off days doesnt mean you should be going against people you can easily stomp

I just learned what MMR is literally today and it is kind of suspicious that we can't see it right? Why can't we see it?

I don't know what is my exact MMR, but it should go down when you lose the match. I managed to escape once in 3 hours and the next day once in 2.5 hours, so it should have gone down a lot.

To stop people from DeMMRing <Old Rank had this issue and it was abused to go against baby survivors or baby killer\Newer players>

This forum is really incredible and your answer perfectly summarizes it.
Only on this forum you can see random killer mains claim things like "Probzz is a generic juicer" without looking like an arrogant idiot.
Topic pointing out that solo Q being miserable -> "Don't use Probzz as an example he sucks and he's toxic"
Topic about literally any other solo Q streamer getting <50% winrate -> "Yeah because he sucks, he's low MMR and game is killer-sided at low MMR"
Topic about any killer streamer getting consistent 50+ win streaks -> "Yeah it's because he's a very skilled high MMR player. And btw 50 wins is not a lot, I got 100"

That makes sense, that used to be a big problem back in the day.

Not a way that can be discussed. But methods exist. And honestly, you lose more faith in the system if you find out your exact numbers. 99% of people on here who say they have "high MMR" are probably guessing. But with the way the system works, there's functionally little difference in being a 1400 Myers and a 1950 Nurse. You'll face the exact same players in the upper and lower direction. It's a ridiculous system. It would be like Overwatch placing top 500 GM players in platinum lobbies.
