Reassurance would've won me last 8 lost matches out of 10
nuff said. I just keep track of killer behaviour in my soloq surv matches, and out of 10 last games, 8 of those would've been won if only I had Reassurance to keep the guy who's being camped on a hook a bit longer. I'm not sure what should be the conclusion from this, but I do know for damn sure I'm getting myself Reassurance the moment new patch rolls out, althought some type of weaker version of it would be nice as a basekit or as a general free for all perk, hiding the "solve the camping" solution behind a 500 auric cells character is kinda... Kinda bhvr-like tbh

Yea when reassurance comes it will be the death of proxy and other types of camping <Also forcing 2nd stage hooks too>. My only worry is the hard Limit and the hooked survivor given a way to opt out. Otherwise, I am glad.

I completely agree. However, a perk that will help you avoid a dirty and mean strategy costs 500 cells. I live in Russia now, and since the ability to donate is disabled in my region, there is no way I can buy a perk. What should I do in such a situation? and I'm not the only one, some players will need this perk, but there is no technical possibility of acquiring it. Thanks developers!

I don't think that's how that works but I am looking forward to seeing the impact of reassurance on the game.
I don't camp much but I will try to force 2nd stage if I see them getting close to it and not being able to do that sounds huge. The play will probably be to go after the person with reassurance when they try to use it I would imagine. Which is fine if 1 or 2 have it but a full team with it sounds brutal. It might literally force 12 hook games in those situations.

It's not a coincidence that they buffed camping just a month or so before they added its biggest counter yet as a licensed perk.

This guy speaks the truth. It's a bait and switch. It has to be a good perk to get you to spend the money on it. Then they nerf it afterwards.

This is why the perk is too strong in my opinion and will punish all killers and not just campers. A killer might notice that the hooked survivor is close to going to stage 2 and decide to go try to force it or pressure the rescuer and all the Reassurance user has to do is get within 6 metres to completely defuse the situation.
I don't think Reassurance should even work in stage 1.

It wouldn't. 10/10 times a survivor will unhook for points regardless of whether it's safe or not. They won't use a perk to prolong the timer. If you don't unhook, somebody else will. In two months, nobody will be using this perk.

this. Survivors don't really die in most games from the timer running out. They die because they are caught gain and killed. Prolong the time and sending the survivor on vacation will just disable one team member who does nothing, if he's just hanging on the hook

That seriously sucks. At least you can rest assured, that survivor load outs will be saturated with Reassuring feelgood perks in the foreseeable future.

I don't think that they will nerf it to that short an activation, but I also predicted a 60s cooldown. That wouldn't be a problem in itself if there wasn't that pungent stench of bait and switch.
With 30s active and simultaneous 40s CD it's totally overtuned, they could have played with open hands and 30s/60s CD from the very start and people would have gotten nearly as excited.

It would. I specifically only took notice of games where the use of Reassurance to prolong the timer to reset/open the gates/rush last gens since killer tunneled one guy would save it, hence 8/10 games and not 10/10. It would 100% give the team more time after learning about the killers camping/proxycamping

Reassurance wouldn't have won you any more games. If you are caught, you will hang. reassurance isn't going to help that much. Possibly it will even ruin some games for survivors. Survivors 90% of the time don't die from expired hook timer. they die from being caught and thrown back on the hook again

They don't need to do that for RE chapter tho. They are adding iconic villain and 2 survivors from the most popular horror game franchise. They don't need to put any op perk in to chapter, it will sell very well anyway.
I understand MoM was op for selling Ash and CoH was op for selling Mikaela (she is still great character tho) but non of new RE perks are busted or op.
