WHY DOES FENG GET A NEW COSMETIC EVERY TIME?!
Seriously, she JUST GOT ONE! And it’s still that she gets a cosmetic every single time..
Wish other female survivors got one that basically never gets an cosmetic.
Feng Min mains, how you feel about getting spoiled like this.. must be hard to spend auric cell every time a new outfit drops?

Tired of seeing people complain about feng getting new cosmetics, when dwight, meg, nea and felix get cosmetics just as often, if not more. And obviously they're going to give cosmetics to popular survivors, as they're more likely to sell that way.
Should other survivors get a turn over them? Yes, but people always only ever bring up feng, which I think is just unfair.
It would be nice if feng, dwight, meg, nea and felix didn't get cosmetics for a while and gave everyone else a go. I'd like to see Elodie, Yun-jin, Yui, Adam and Zarina get some love.

BHVR makes the outfits that sell. If they make a Jeff outfit, a few people buy it. If they make a Feng outfit, they make loads of money. Feng players are the biggest whales so it makes sense to cater to them. Other characters like Claudette and Meg also have loads of players and get lots of outfits. This only applies to original characters though. Rebecca has probably the most outfits of any RE character and will have lots of players but you'll probably only ever see one shop outfit for her.

If I played her I would buy every skin just to see people losing mind over her getting a new one.
Dont buy skins and they wont make new. Buy skins for a character and they will make new skins for that character because they sell.

What about Trickster? This guy has below avarage pickrate and so much hate yet he gets skin almost every big patch.
What about Twins lol? They are older and they got like 5x less cosmetic options than him.
Also Feng is not the only one keep getting stuff. Meg, Claudet, Nea and these days Felix as well get something every patch.

Meg, Dwight, Nea, Felix, and other survivors also get a lot of cosmetics because they're popular.
Why do they make a lot of Feng cosmetics? Because people keep playing Feng and buying her skins. It's not weird that the devs would make more cosmetics for characters they know will sell more. Not enough people play the other lesser survivors to warrant a lot of cosmetics.

Dwight, Meg, Nea, Feng, Kate, Felix as survivors and Spirit, Legion, Blight and Trickster as killers should stop get new cosmetics for a while. And i am saying that as Kate main.
I know these characters are more popular and makes more money but still they have a lot cosmetics. Give them 3 cosmetics for a year maybe. And at least give 1 - 2 cosmetics to your unpopular characters. I don't remember when Adam got new cosmetic the last time. Yun, Yui, Jeff, Zarina, Mikaela, Haddie, Jane etc, these survivors deserves some love.

Honestly mikaela and trickster might be worse. Trickster is hated by a lot of the community yet BHVR keep giving him stuff and mikaela is already outpacing characters like Jeff and Adam despite being quite new

Popular survivors generate more money than unpopular ones. This is why fan favorites like Feng, Kate, Felix or Mikaela for example get new skins pretty regularly. Why spend resources on creating a Jeff skin that maybe 3 people will buy when you can use those same resources to create a new feng skin that over 3.000 people will buy?

but for real though, feng nea and meg hogging all the cosmetics is really bad for everyone else.
because it just creates a toxic cycle, since say survivors like jeff never gets any cosmetics people never have a reason to buy him, which gives bhvr the impression that people dont like him or he's not popular enough, which just repeats the same cycle again.

Yeah yeah. Everyone saying they are popular and therefore generate more money because more people buy the cosmetics…
but one reason why they are so popular is because they have so many cosmetics to begin with. So creating more cosmetics for rarely seen characters will increase their pickrate! It happened to Jeff when he got his Prime outfit after all. Saw many Jeff players the next few days, if there were more mix-match-able stuff I think it wouldn’t decline as much..

Trickster?What? The last outfit for him before the last week outfit was the valentines day in February, half year without new skins. Its obvious trickster receive more skins than twins, he’s a different design. 1% or less play as twins, and the twins style is not attractive for buy.

Your logic is wrong. Unpopular survivors are unpopular because they did not liked by majority of community at start. Just look Yun and Mikaela for example, they were popular even when they didn't have much cosmetics. So it is not about cosmetics, people are playing these survivors because these survivors are looking good them, simple.
I am supporting to add more cosmetics for other survivors btw. So their mains will be happy. But adding more cosmetics will not make me play them because they are not my fav survivors. They can add 20 cosmetics in row for Jeff but i will not bother myself to play him. Because i don't like him.

Yeah its getting a little silly that Feng gets an outfit every single time. There are other survivors too. Also it would be nice if you stopped giving sunglasses to every outfit for other survivors...and as a Meg mainer id like some LONG haired cosmetics without sunglasses.

This post has made me realize that Felix has indeed also been getting cosmetics quite often even though I literally never see him in my games except when I play him myself. Whereas Feng is in literally every game.

Yeah, that’s not what I meant though. I just said one of the reasons for them to be as popular as they are is the amount of cosmetics they get. Obviously someone like Jeff won’t ever be as popular as Feng but at least a little bit more than the state now.

Someone counted the numbers of new survivor skins this year and Feng "only" got 4 while a few others got 5 and Meg got 6.

Claudette got a Rift cosmetic in Tome 11- Devotion, and another in Tome 12- Discordance. Before that, her most recent Rift cosmetic was in Tome 7- Forsaken. Bearing in mind that we receive 4 new Rifts each year, that is an entire year's gap between Rift cosmetics she received.
Let's look at every Survivor outfit during that time.
Getting the same amount of Rift cosmetics as Claudette in this time frame are:
- Jeff
- Jake
- Dwight
That seems damning, doesn't it? But then if we look at the other characters, all of whom have received at least 2 Rift cosmetics in the past year and a bit:
- Kate has received Store cosmetics (4 since 12th August 2021)
- Felix has received Store cosmetics (5 since August 2021)
- Feng has received Store cosmetics (4 since August 2021)
- Dwight has received Store cosmetics (3 since August 2021 + a Torso cosmetic)
- Ace has received Store cosmetics (2 since August 2021)
- Meg has received Store cosmetics (3 since August 2021)
And what's that? Claudette's most recent Store cosmetic (I am not including Rift cosmetics later released) was the Dog-Sitter outfit, released 12th August 2021?
Yeah, um. That proves my point.
Keep her name out of your mouth, she does not deserve to be included with the rest of the Cosmetic Hogs.

Damn why did BHVR figure out that the majority of gamers are men who like to watch women so they are inclined to buy skins for female characters.

Sex sells. It's why most of the cast looks like they can star as a model on the run way. It's why characters like Felix, Feng, Elodie, Kate, and David are popular outside of the game itself and get tons of fanart. Meanwhile Jeff and Jonah are left on the curbside both outside and inside. It's why certain characters get more skins. And if you have the successful presence both outside and inside (literally most of the female cast) you will get blessed with more skins.
Same applies for Killers. Spirit is super popular (which is red flag as she has school girl outfits) outside and inside the game so she gets blessed with skins quite often. Trickster isn't as popular inside (he is the weakest Killer stat wise as well, doesn't help him) but has massive popularity outside so he gets skins as well. Same could be applied to puke and bird women as I don't see them often in matches but they have decent enough popularity as Queens to get more skins released with more care than say Billy. Meanwhile who really cares about Hag or Twins? 3 people? Also Twins will forever be a mistake that they took the stance Victor is not part of the skins and is left untouched. One of their dumbest choices as it severely limits the potential of their skins and makes him clash if they do anything too fancy with her.

You say that Jeff got the same amount of cosmetics as Claudette. That's true I guess.
Claudette got far better quality of cosmetics than Jeff from the Rift over that period. All but one of Jeff's Rift cosmetics were recolors with the exception of the awful Blockbuster uniform. Claudette saw more unique outfits from the Rift as well as better recolors since she has a better base of outfits to choose from.

Dwight got far better quality cosmetics than Jeff did, more comparable to Claudette's outfits, and also got at least 3 Store cosmetics and another Torso piece. Claudette does not deserve to be in the same group as Dwight, Felix, Meg, Feng, and Kate.

Jokes aside, the most popular characters get the most cosmetics. What baffles me is how Jonah has so many cosmetics when he's not only one of the newer additions but he's almost as unpopular as Jeff or Adam

The characters with 80+ cosmetics already can all take a backseat until the other characters catch up. If they can't do that then they should stop putting out new characters because there's no point in buying/playing new original survivors if they're just going to be ignored while one's with tons of cosmetics already keep having more added to their collections.

It's also circular logic.
The more good cosmetics Feng gets, the more popular she's going to become. After all, she has all the good cosmetics!
I don't know about anyone else but I am so sick of Feng's voice that I'm starting to develop PTSD when I hear her cries of pain.

I'm not sure but I think Joe Keery did a WIRED interview or something and he wasn't familiar with DBD at all. This was nearly a year after the license game to DBD.
