Maybe Corrupt Intervention should be basekit, the same way BT became
I'm honestly very happy that camping/tunneling is getting somehow addressed. The new basekit BT is a must.
That said, it's baffling how unfair and a failure of game design the survivors spawning glued to their objective. The possibility of all survivors spawning in different generators as soon as the match starts, that should be addressed too.
Increasing gen time does nothing at the start of the match.
One chase = 3 very advanced generators IF survivors are efficient, at least. Not even NURSE can deal with that.
That's why a lot of players do tunnel and camp and stacks 4 slowdown perks, because it's phisically impossible to deal with these things. Paired with a lot of busted maps with god pallets (that I don't even know why they exist) and broken RNG.
I hope devs acknowledge the issue and do something too.

YES PLEASE.
I want the game to feel like I don't need to run corrupt in order to have a chance against new players.

Camping did not addressed, BT is anti-tunnel perk. Killers like Bubba, Huntress, Trickster are still so strong when they are camping. And you have nothing against camping.
But i am supporting base-kit Corrupt. Ofcourse it should have shorter time. Like 30 seconds. This time should be enough to find and start chase one survivor.

It would be nice. 60 or 90 seconds would be enough. And the perk would increase the standard duration like a new BT.
It would also be nice if at the beginning of the match all totems were dimmed and blocked by The Entity for 90 seconds. Corruption works, but the survivors do not know what kind of totem it is.

It'd probably be enough to just make survivors spawn together. That way they at least can't jump on four different gens immediately. It's not good design.

I'd like to improve your suggestion. All generators should be blocked for the first 30 seconds of the match, along with totems and a very lite version of Lethal. Shows you the auras of all survivors at the start of the trial for 5 seconds, after you've got control of your character.

Oh my god 30 seconds base Corrupt would be so amazing

Maybe survivors should also be unable to run as long as they haven´t got hit for the first time.

I mean i think it would be fair. Since survivors got one of their meta perks as base kit killers should get something too. Like give us 1 minute corrupt or something. Fair is fair no?

With the change it got I would actually be fine with this. Means killers like blight or nurse couldn’t get too much value from it since they get quick downs anyway.
Also gives survivors a chance to seek out side objectives without it feeling like a huge waste of time

Actually I want survivors to be able to run as soon as the match starts. You got it?

Sure if they make gens 80 seconds again.
Imo they should have kept gens at 80 seconds and added old corrupt basekit.
4 -
I do agree, they should not have increased the gen time.

Increasing the gen times just made them more tedious.
With old corrupt basekit it would also prevent gens to get done faster early game and would be a great help for set up killers like trapper and hag.

Survivors are getting more and more gen speed perks added into the game and honest the 50 extra seconds isnt all that much. There are many killers that arent nurse and blight and could actually use corrupt as basekit instead of using it as a perk and losing a perk slot.

its not even a full 50 seconds. multiple gens can be done at the same time so if 3 gens get done at the same time, then 2 more get done same time, (its a scratched mirror myers who had macmillan played or smthn so he had no hope of winning that one chase he had the whole game) that was only an extra 20 seconds of gens

I'd rather have something to disrupt survivors midgame.
FreeBT can delay a killer for up to 80s thats 22% of the time it zakes to sacrifice 3 survivors (4th is instant so i diddnt account for it)
Like delay survivors for the same %. Block all gens for 20-25 whenever a gen is finished.
More fair than 30 seconds at the start which just makes survivors hide.

Corrupt Intervention seems like a pretty healthy perk to award baseline, especially with the 'dissipates on first down' stipulation added. It's just cleaner and more fair to low mobility killers to get that little set-up time.

Corrupt intervention makes a much much bigger impact on the game than baseline borrowed time will ever. Even after the nerf to corrupt it is still in my opinion, one of the strongest perks in the game. The game is also pretty killer sided right now. I don't think BHVR will be releasing any kill rates because it is probably much worse than people realize.
Now if survivors got baseline DS, we could talk about a baseline corrupt.
