PSA to SoloQ Survivors
Stop trying to save people in the end game if they get hooked in the basement. You are turning a 1k, into a possible 2-4k. Even if you are running the perk Borrowed time, they can still hook trade pretty easily. A good killer is also going to just body block the stairs until they can down the person you unhooked. The ball is in the killers court if they hook in the basement, it would take decent coordination to save that person, while also not having someone else go down. Just stop, please, I can't watch another killer get handed more free hooks/kills.

Preach. Goes for pretty much endgame hook location too against a decent Huntress/Trickster/Plague/etc. Any good camping killer. You aren't getting that unhook unless they royally screw up. I smh my head when people try to make contested saves against Oak Haft Huntress

Or you know, if we get a ping system we could coordinate accordingly and get the proper unhook and bodyblocks set before we leave another SoloQ teammate spiraling down the SBMM hell.

Surviving a match isn't everything.

Yeah, end game is pretty tragic right now as a soloQ survivor. I try to have either adrenaline or Deliverance to try and not be the last person hooked. Although I just had a game where I unhooked myself about 15 feet from the exit gate, and the billy managed to body block me from getting out.

Huh? Like... Against a real basement killer such as Trapper or Bubba... Sure. But, um... We can get you out against 90% of killers? What the heck are you talking about? I seriously have no clue. Nothing about the basement magically makes it impossible to save.

The only way I attempt is if I know I have a shot.
Some of my most successful saves have been while basically risking my own skin.
Like this one time a Trickster was face camping and only turning back and forth ever so slightly… so I timed myself and used SB to get there before he could turn, I had enough time to get the teammate and vault a window near by so he couldn’t not focus both of us. The teammate had BT and I ended up getting injured but made it and so did they.
So what I would actually encourage teammates is to look at the situation and what you have to work with. Plus ultimately if you actually care about escaping yourself.

Have you just not played in the past month? You have about a 99% chance of that person getting downed again or someone who unhooked getting downed. Against every killer under the sun.
This is also for end game not the rest of the match. Killers camp the basement in the end game 100% of the time.

With new BT you can guarantee someone gets to the exit gates unless you're against bubba/nurse/blight so it's not impossible. Reassurance will let you pause the timer as well while you wait for another teammate to double save.

if I'm wearing a badass cosmetic like an AoT skin, it's my job as a Scout to face certain death and get the job done regardless.
3Es are nice but these days I want to challenge myself in Solo Q. I believe little things like joining you in the basement might inspire and motivate somebody in their next match and pay it forward.

Used to be fun before the latest update nerfs - now it's just...sad. I'll stick around just so they don't die alone.

If somebody saved or protected me during the match i sometimes try to unhook and die for him/her no matter what.

I do that at times too, if they risked themselves to unhook me. But, I feel like if you get yourself hooked in the basement in the end game, that's wrong place wrong time.

Anyone not using kindred playing solo and doing that stupid rescue are likely doing so because that's more tolerable than the post chat where someone cries about not being rescued across the map. Either that or they're really stupid. You decide.

Right.
If i clearly see i or we both won´t make it i mostly don´t do it anymore. Then i honor his/her efforts to save me.

I almost always run kindred. For that reason i can see a camping killer and know i won´t make it.

I've had successful end game basement saves and I've had ones that were not going to work out. It all depends on skill/coordination with the other players during the match, skill of the killer, and basement location/distance to the doors.

I'm willing to sacrifice myself to save someone I don't know. Is that really a bad thing?
1 -
No I do it too if I don't care about ranking up or have already reach rank 1. After the patch however usually when you go for basement saves in the end game, not only do you fail at saving that person, the killer usually gets an extra body to hook.

No, because it is just a game.
