Nurse doesn't need add-ons
Am I the only person that thinks she should be the first and only killer without add-ons, I think if maps were shrunk a bit she would be in a nice spot, she would have the best anti-loop in the game, but the mobility of an M1 killer and would have to play very well to earn her spot at No.1

Her basekit is perfect. Recharge is strong but balanced. Range/+1 blink shouldn’t exist.

I like Nurse because she rewards your mastery of her with a very strong power, but with range and 3 blink you can play very safe with her, hold w at every tile, and win consistently without having to stick your neck out and risk missing an attack.

That’s just an outright bad idea. It gets rid of fun/meme/playstyle changing add-ons as well as recharge. Just rework range and 3 blink instead.

I have yet to play against a single Nurse in my 1k hours of survivor that has used anything aside from recharge/range/3 blink, no one uses them, so why waste the time to create new addons when range and 3 blink are inevitably nerfed when you can just delete all of them.

I’m sorry that you are bad at playing against a killer and want to make them utterly garbage. Nothing should ever be made garbage, that is straight up moronic. That is not how good game design works.

There’s a difference in toning down and gutting, which you somehow fail to grasp the concept of. Everything should be good and appealing to play/use. The goal is to make everything as close to that as possible. The goal is not to make something garbage so there’s no reason or incentive to play or use it.
Nurse is balanced with the exception of range and 3 blinks. Even if she was busted, that still doesn’t mean she should be gutted, that’s utterly moronic. It would mean she gets toned down to being balanced but good and appealing.
Also you somehow fail to grasp this, but kicking down the things that are good is not how you make others shine. You raise up the things that are below. Gutting Nurse doesn’t make others more appealing to play. Buffing weaker killers makes more killers appealing to play regardless of Nurse’s existence.

Anyone who takes the time to learn any killer well will 4K most of their games because good players will be outright better than the average lobbies MMR can give them.
Nurse’s skill ceiling isn’t in the muscle memory. That’s the skill floor. The ceiling is mindgaming people who know how to mindgame you.

Ah yes.
- The add-on that makes her move at 115% speed so she can actually function by being faster than a survivor. Wow, it’s almost like that literally makes her a different and worse killer. Amazing how that works.
- Extremely good players (compared to average players) with a huge amount of playtime and practice playing pub lobbies. Wow, it’s almost like good players will win almost every game regardless of side or build because they are better than what MMR can match them with.
- God-awful survivors that literally actively run into Nurse and corner themselves against objects regularly.
This is embarrassing.

1 blink is utterly garbage and only works on a massive skill level mismatch. Nurse does require skill. It’s why good players as and against her go even when the skill matchup is even (outside of stuff like unbalanced maps/meme builds/people not trying/etc).
Nah. Exposed perks have counterplay built in. For instance, Starstruck is stay split up against the killer, run from the down. Badly designed tiny maps does not make Starstruck a problem, it means those maps need reworks and to be made bigger.
Nurse has counterplay built in via mindgames. You can avoid the blink hits even if you do end up Exposed. So on and so forth.

Not when nurse uses lethal pursue and survivors spawn together. It's too strong on her you use it so ofcourse you don't want it to be nerfed on her I use it too and it's too strong. If exposes perks would not work on her they could be buffed so other killers would get more use from them. Now it's only dredge getting use from make your choise.

I don't get hit but my teammates get and all tree are down in less than minute what im supposed to do then? One match I did get hit by it when no mither kate got downed in 3s start of match and I tried taking protection hit and last 2 also got downed soon after.

It is match immediatelly were nurse didn't use it we got all gens done and well I died trying to save my teammates but it was actually balanced match even she got 4K. Usually nurses use offering to get on maps were the startruck cowers whole map like midwich and the game.

you realize 3 blink is meme add-on right? just running 3 blink and no other add-on is downright terrible. against strong team, having your blinks have absurdly long cooldown is worse then base-kit nurse. recharge add-ons are infinitive stronger then 3 blink. In fact recharge makes 3 blink relevant. recharge add-on do a lot for nurse. If recharge got removed for nurse, nurse would be significantly weaker.

The difference is Recharge doesn’t alter her counterplay. It means she blinks more frequently. Torn Bookmark alters the counterplay and makes avoiding blink hits virtually impossible. It is fundamentally bad design.

nurse's recharge does alter her counter-play which is holding-w. it makes missing blinks less punishing and gives survivor less distance between each blink. an easy to understand this is facing nurse in midwich elementary school hallways base-kit nurse vs double recharge nurse. I'll get to range in a moment.
nurse design in such a way where when you miss blink, your power goes on cooldown and since nurse is slower than survivor, you get set amount of x distance against nurse. let's just say its 15 meters. using her travel time, charge time, look angle in which you described to me in another post, you use these methods to determine nurse's blink destination and if you predict blink destination correctly on first blink, you generally have very good odds to dodge 2nd blink because nurse can over-blink or under-blink on first blink making her not have enough range for 2nd blink to hit you. if you face midwich elementary school hallway nurse with no add-ons, you can essentially loop nurse indefinitely as long your good enough to make right blink location predictions. Thanks to circular nature of hallways, you will never get corner by nurse on the map therefore you will always have fixed blink distances.
all that stuff changes with recharge and range. with recharge, since nurse gets her blinks faster, you have less time to shift-w so instead of making 15 meters of fixed distance, it becomes like 10-12 meters of fixed distance. Since survivor is closer to you now, you have to charge your blink for less, your travel time is less since your closer and survivor has lacks wiggle room to predict nurse blink locations. Range does something similar, it makes her travel-time shorter by 50%, so essentially 15 meters become more like 10 meters in term of actual distance which once again takes away wiggle room for survivor to parry blinks.
3 blink is kinda like old legion that took 5 hits to get a down. if survivor predicts first blink location and then parry 2nd blink from not enough distance, the 3rd blink will grant the hit that you otherwise wouldn't get. its that using 3 blinks on every chase is not time efficient for nurse. it takes too long for blinks to recharge meaning that its very easy for survivor to push gens and win from their extreme time efficiency on gens even if nurse gets guaranteed downs. I would describe 3 blink nurse similar to old dead hard, its basically 2nd chance to rectify misplay for nurse at the expense of having time-inefficient downs. i would say 3 blink add-on alone is weak/ineffective, but 3 blink with recharge makes it a lot stronger.

People ofc go for range and recharge when every other addon is trash. Thats normal when you have limited slots available.

Even Supalf suggested nerf on nurse how about that because of startruck and awakened awareness. He suggested first blink should count as normal attack but second blink count as special attack.

Basekit Nurse is unfun, old basekit Nurse was fun. If you are playing basekit Nurse your biggest weakness will be the w key or forward key for us console players. You literally cannot go for more of the risky reads because if they just run they will make so much distance its not worth going for them unless they make a big mistake. Sure you can always go for the long distance blinks, but its just boring because you will most often, be left in the dark about whether or not the survivor is going to keep on running or backtrack while you are blinking and gain enough distance to avoid the second blink, unless the survivor is like ah lets only run forwards so you can manage to read where they are running to perfectly and blink on top of them.
Recharge is not overpowered it just makes Nurse more fun to play besides using range to completely get rid of the threat of a survivor just running and not trying to play the old guess which way im going game to just make large amounts of distance when you think they are just going to be behind this building once you lose line of sight. You hardly see basekit Nurses anymore prior to the rework because basekit Nurse is just bad unless you are someone who puts daily amount of time into Nurse or just enough hours into Nurse that you can perfectly gauge what the survivor is doing every time to makeup for the lack of recharge addons. I have played a lot of Nurse, but even now I won't always make perfect reads so thus basekit Nurse is unfun and just making the game harder on yourself maybe its different for pc players, but its just not fun being basekit nurse anymore.

that's BAD game design, and exactly why i left league. Having rock paper scissors in champ select is genuinely the most boring garbage. Leaving killers bad is also bad game design but luckily there aren't many that are actually bad, but are instead just boring. The fact that the "Nerf Nurse" crowd won't be satisfied until she's actually unplayable really just solidifies that they shouldn't be listened to at all by anyone.

I would challenge any Nurse to chase me without addons. She absolutely needs them to compete. Her base range is awful

Reducing map size would fix this, she doesn't need range on Dead Dawg, only on maps like Mother's Dwelling does it become tedious to 1 blink everywhere.

If Nurse needs to go because she doesn't work in the game, then so does SWF. Both break the game by having capabilities that bypass the regular gameplay loop, and when utilized by good players, become nigh unstoppable.

Even then, it massively hurts her in chase to not have range. It takes 4-5 blinks to even catch up, which adds up to a lot of lost time because the survivor is just holding forward. I’m not saying you mean this, but it seems like most survivors want to be able to shut her down with 0 things she can do. That isn’t how counterplay is supposed to work

I get what you mean, I played Nurse on console for the longest time with only double recharge, and even then, I felt the curse of 3.8m/s. But if maps were shrunk and the amount of LOS blockage was reduced, Nurse's basekit would still be very strong without being OP.
