Remember when insta-saw Hillbilly and forever Freddy were actually good killers?
Oh boy, l really miss the time when hillbilly was one of the most played and fun killers due to his insta-saw and insane curves making him a real threat. It's hard to believe what BHVR did to him.
I know how controversial forever Freddy can be but i cant deny how decent he was ( although not very fun to face ) and it's not just considering his addons , the old reworked Freddy feels less clunky to play compared to recent one. if l remember correctly, old reworked Freddy could place several dreams snares around the map like trapper traps and he also didn't lose speed when using his power making him better in chases and with the addons he had, the dream world was more threatening.
I'm saying this because I liked the varieties of viable killers we had in the past and not just ( nurse-blight-nurse-spirit-blight....) At high MMR.
It makes me sad to think of killers that were good are not good currently.

"Here's one aspect of a killer/perk/addon that is universally problematic, which even the killer is willing to let go of in exchange for more healthy compensation"
"ok but what if we just made them feel like absolute trash to play instead of compensation"
Its the BHVR School of Porcine Fisticuffs. Its why stuff like the Thana and AA whiplash inducing reactions don't even phase me anymore. They are extremely stubborn about lacking nuance when its needed.

Instasaw really wasn't fun at all. You didn't curve with it generally, it was mostly just backrevs.

it wasn't just for backrev. it allowed him to chainsaw feather at pallets and it allowed him to dynamically curve around loop. Windows were also less of hard-counter towards his power. there would be more killer variety if some killer changes were reverted like billy, freddy and slinger.
