So....When Are We Kill-Switching Sadako And Myers?
Comments
-
They are licensed killers and this bug has probably already generated BHVR a ton of extra profit, even more pending as info about the bug spreads. So no, no killswitch for them.

What’s going on with Myers right now? I somehow missed something.
0 -
Same. I knew about Sadako but what the heck is happening with Mikey?
0 -
No, the Clown bug required a Survivor to stay still and remain in the Antidote gas until it wore off and the Clown also needed to do the same after direct impacting a Survivor.
0 -
Michael can do the same bug that Sadako can, apparently. Albeit it's more difficult
0 -
lmao

Ahhh. Okay, thanks @Pulsar :)
0 -
Oh damn. Yeah both should be worthy for a killswitch.
0 -
The only clown here is you for seriously believing that he is even close to be low tier. Your description of his bug also shows how much you know about him, lol.
0 -
How dare they nerf oni again.
0 -
lmao
Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not so I'll play it safe and say it is.

I can't imagine Ghostface couldn't if the issue stems with killers losing their collision. As like Myers, Ghostface has no collision while stalking.
0 -
well wouldn't it be rather difficult as survivors would knock you out of stealth?
0 -
I'm not saying it's easy. But Ghostface has an addon to slowdown reveal time from person on hook which would help if you really wanted to do it.
But if you can do it easier with Myers or Sadako, no one is going to play Ghostface to do it. But I am curious if it's possible.

i mean i'm sure the real reason that myers and sadako haven't been killswitched is because unlike clown this bug is intentionally done. If you were clown you could have not known about the perma haste and still did it by accident. With these killers you are making a decision so I would guess they expect the report system to take care of them. Also i imagine most sadakos, myers, whoever else can bug out the hook like this, aren't actually playing this way even if they know about the bug.
0 -
I could test it when my friends get on if you'd be interested.
0 -
If you don't mind testing, I'm curious if it's possible.
0 -
Why can so many other companies actually fix it then fast? There's no good excuse for ir.
0 -
Sure it's not instant. Others can it in a day though. BHVR should figure that out.
0 -
It means, a bug or exploits that happens in 0.0000007% of all matches might break the match, but is not a problem for the game itself.
If it can be used at will in every match, that might be game breaking.
0 -
Yes, this bug can be done by any Sadako player upon any Hook it seems like.
If they decide that they're losing, there's nothing you or anyone else can do as counterplay.
1 -
Again. If it can be done at will, shouldn't it be taken care of before it becomes a widespread thing?
0 -
I think i already answered that.
0 -
You said it might be gamebreaking, which leaves it kinda open as to whether you actually think it's something worth killswitching and fixing.
0 -
Wdym? You ever see games have maintenance break? That's fixing stuff while all the servers are down, while other games like dbd just kill switch the problem to work on it
0 -
They don't take weeks to fix.
0 -
How is Myers doing it? I haven't played in days/weeks
0 -
I don't understand what the point of the killswitch is since they rarely use it and when they do they are so inconsistent. If something is being used as an unintended exploit or is completely bugged then killswitch it until its fixed. There's SO many killers/perks/maps in the game, killswitching some because they're bugged isn't a big deal.
2 -
people simply like to complain and show how opinionated they are... if something's bugged, it needs to be fixed... call it killswitch, maintenance, whatever... it's semantics
1 -
They just stand there.... MENACINGLY!!!
1 -
What others?
Indie developers who can patch their game whenever they feel like it instead of BHVR who has to get each patch approved?
Or tripple A companies who not only have a bigger workforce but also force them to work insane hours to keep up with the ever demanding time constraint?
Mmhmm shame on bhvr to actually care about their workforce
These forums are the definition of "The best shippers are on the shore"
So many people trying to talk about stuff they know absolutely nothing about

I can't believe killswitching something can be so controversial. They literally introduced this feature for this purpose. There's no 'unhook' prompt when Sadako does this, so someone literally can be hooked but not unhooked. If the glitch went the other way, and there was no 'hook' prompt for a particular killer I imagine the same people saying this doesn't need killswitching would be singing a different tune.
3 -
now even myers can do it? that's a new one for me... i only heard about sadako, but i wasn't aware that myers could do it too...
0 -
I'm not saying it's fine but these people are just noticing a bug that's been complained about before years ago and they did nothing then either
0 -
No, you literally can’t unhook against a face camping bubba unless he is braindead. Which is the majority of facecamping bubbas, I will grant you. Are you saying the difference between Sadakos uncounterable facecamp and Bubbas is that in the case of the Bubba the prompt is there? Does it really matter if you are left with the same result?
0 -
I'm not going to say it's easy to save against a facecamping bubba, but it is possible to hook trade. With the BT buff coming it should be easier to trade with the 10% haste for 10 seconds since as long as the rescued survivor can reach a vault of pallet, they'll be fine.
1 -
Looks like they fixed the bug for Sadako in this update
0 -
It's a moot point now, this Sadako exploit was fixed in 6.2. Though it doesn't look like they addressed Myers.
0 -
Fair point about the 10% haste. I forgot about that.
0 -
BHVR isn't as small as they were. They could definitely get it fixed sooner. MultiVersus is already doing better with getting things out fast. And yes I know "2 different games." But they're both still games. It shouldn't be this difficult to fix this stuff at a decent speed and I'm pretty sure they could.
1 -
What issues are they having?
