Hyperfocus
Does hyperfocus increase gen repair times? if so i'd like to see that changed, i dont think its healthy to add more perks that increase gen repair times including the ones that we already have. Kinda defeats the point of adding 10 seconds to every gen for the killer in the last patch.

It does if you can consistently hit great skill checks which get smaller each time. It rewards skill with faster repairs which is pretty alright imo

I don't think so. You need to consistently hit great skillchecks with it, so you might take the risk of exploding your gen though. But in theory, gens are done faster.

ive heard people pairing it with stake out so they can hit the skillchecks constantly or much easier? i dont understand why they would add more genrushing perks to the game when its not healthy.

Yes let's add a gen rush perk so the 3k+ hour survivors that never miss greats anyways can have even faster gens they're split up on. Excellent idea

Tunneling and Facecamping are not healthy for the game either. Just saying.

2/4 perks for something prove thyself does better really isn’t that strong. Even still survivors could use some decent gen related perks to counteract regression perks
Only issue is that it works with toolboxes which give way too many skill checks right now. Just disable it for them like autodidact is disabled for medkits

At most you can get 4 stacks of stackout stored where you can pair it with hyperfocus. For that fifth skill check, you are going to have to hit the great if you want to keep the benefits of hyperfocus. I haven't experimented with the time it takes for stakeout to replenish vs the time another skillcheck will pop up, but it is highly unlikely an average survivor will be able to get consistent value out of this perk.
Hyperfocus makes the skill checks faster, meaning it is harder to hit the greats without stakeout. Stakeout is consumed when getting skillchecks for healing others/yourself, so it isn't guaranteed you can save the stacks for just gens.
It might effect the gens if everyone runs it, but in a normal pub game, it probably won't be super effective in most mmr brackets.

Maybe that would be more balanced yes, if they removed the option to use it with toolboxes.

Not sure what is going on with their design decisions. They state repair speeds are too fast, so they add 10 seconds to gens which just pushes almost every survivor to run gen speed builds. Now they are getting done just as fast back to where they said they are going too fast......then they add a new survivor perk that increases repair speed even higher.
It really, really sucks being forced into running heavy gen regression perks just to be viable in a match (at least for non meta killers...nurse needs a nerf). Now it's getting even worst. I swear, they need to just make gen repair and auto regression speeds consistent and no longer be associated with perks. I would totally love to run more creative or fun perks, but so many slots have to be eaten up by those freaking gen perks due to how fast gens are flying by.

I've tested it with Stakeout. It feels amazing to watch the progress bar shoot forward over and over again. If you can somewhat consistently hit greats then try this combo.

Prove thyself may give more bonus per charge but you need 2 people. Hyper focus means survivors can spread out making gens go even faster
