True reason why Blast Mine got nerfed
Spaghetti code, and the laziness of devs OR deadlines, let me explain
I guess that wiretap and blast mine are using same code, but blastmine have activation condition, explosion when killer kicks gen and then and only then perk deactivates, such as wiretap but wiretap's effect doesn't have any activation condition, it's just works
And because of that, wiretap could be way more powerfull if it only got disabled if killer would kick gen, and for some reason, they are using same code with blastmine
This is just laziness, sphagetti code or deadlines, the situation where devs didn't have enough time to programm perks properly

I don't think so.
I believe they don't like strong or fun survivor perks. They will be happy whenever we all start to use garbage perks like Self Care, Solo Survivor etc.
Fun can not exist for survivors.
I don't even remember the last good survivor perk tho. It was CoH if i am not wrong.

They didn't just change it for no reason, there must be a reason no matter how weird or silly it is
It's like the Pain Res Merciless Storm thing, it was a really stupid reason to change the perks but that's why they did it

This victim complex does no one any good. You think the the people that make the game are hellbent on ensuring that 70%~ of their players are having a bad time? You don't sincerely believe that. You're just throwing a pity party.

Tell that to Self Care. Tell that to Calm Spirit. Tell that to Blast Mine.
All of these perks nerfed unfairly. All of these perks was so bad already. BHVR made them worse.

It is an extreme nerf to a perk that wasn't getting overused.
Was it strong as is? Kinda, yeah. Did it need to have half its whole functionality stripped away? Nope!

Apparently Blast Mine was always supposed to work this way and it was a bug that when it's duration expired you got it back. A bug they never fixed until now.
Just seems odd because even -with- the bug it's not like it's actually that good of a perk. It was a fun perk but it didn't actually have a very strong effect.

Actually OP might be on to something here. Since Wiretap and Blast Mine have the same conditions, their code is probably the same and because of that, they both would work similarly. As the OP said though, it’s just lazy on BHVR’s part, but this is probably what happened.
